Imagine Eggman recovering Metal upgrades him to Neo and when he is about to reprogram him he stops and writes one command Live your life Metal and be better than I can ever make you

Ironic, considering it's usually Mecha that is associated with Cooler.
I like the idea of Shadow staying on the colony Ark and gaining a role similar to Knuckles' as the colony's guardian can work really well (it could lead to interesting expansions during the Black Arms' arc).
As for Metal? I don't think he's gone for good... Specially when the Heroes' arc is next (Metal Sonic was both the main antagonist and deuteragonist of Sonic Heroes after all).
Why do I feel like Egg man is going to collects and recode Metal to be a unit of destruction or make copy Metal Sonic's

3 words: Neo Metal Sonic, my guy needs an upgrade as he didn't get his sonic 4 ancient power boost, and sonic literally gets more powerful every second
Well what if their are two (Neo) Metal Sonic one upgraded via being found by friends Dubbed Metal Sonic Accel/Axel,and Another created by Eggman to have Flagship Commander for his future Eggman Empire The Canonical (Neo) Metal Sonic;the False Metal Sonic become the Big Bad while Our Heroic Metal Sonic is kinda taking Shadow Arc of Amnesia due to glitches in his Memory Core and the Upgrade Self(Modernization) making him a little two similar to the Imposter tarnishing his Heroic Deeds and when he and his Friends known as Team Metal/Scrapnik/Axel would run the Gauntlet against the Heroes while explaining their a new Sonic Type Badniks that possibly behind the new Empire Accelerated progress
I’ve had a theory that metal was in his small classic model during this event because the beginning of the story took place after CD. With his “death” will he come back in modern form?

I think tails turned him into modern metal sonic in the first episode or this entire series they were all using the modern designs

Metals character development from trying to kill sonic under orders, to the master emerald recognizing good and light in him was amazing. He had more growth than shadow did because of his robotic nature, not having the ability to think like his organic counterpart. I hope we get to see something like this in cannon sometime

Wow This is a Great Thing It reminds me of an Old Sonic Theory from The Sega Scourge when he brought up how Chaos Emeralds turn thoughts into power with this newfound Goal and Desire to not just to free his fellow Badniks but to protect his now newfound home and planet from the threat of the space colony ark Metal has join the Hedgehogs of Light and Shadow becoming a Trio Of Super Hogs to face off against the Final Hazard but how will this affect the story going forward can't wait to see🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I know medical sonic is not dead, but please let Tails be the one to find him and put him back together. Because I do not want a shadow story line but it's metal sonic
Either Eggman will Repair him or GUN will probably repair him and realizing he was one of the heroes that stop the ARK from Colliding with Earth will release him free of charge while secretly having his Data and Schematics in order to upgrade their own mechs

If we know anything about metal sonic… he’s not one to go down so easy no matter how much damage or injuries he takes… he is the metallic hero of scrap-nik island… comrade to sonic and friends… friend of amy rose…. And…. A fello ultimate life form just like shadow…. But now the question beckons now….. could there really be only one TRUE metal sonic…. Or are things about to become overloaded with madness…..
