- Hey guys! In this video, I will be showing you how to install BlackArch Linux. BlackArch is a penetration testing distribution based on Arch Linux that provides a large number of cybersecurity tools. It is an open-source distro created especially for penetration testers and security researchers.

Just a tip: Don't.
Don't
It's a really good choice if you're considering penetration testing. However just be aware that with Arch distributions there is a lot less automated management and pre-made configurations to help you work smoothly. You mostly have to set things up yourself. So just be aware of that.

I learned how to set up a vanilla Arch Linux setup with a nice Plasma desktop and then add all the Blackarch tools to my custom setup. Pretty easy after the first dozen times. I dislike the Blackarch desktops and I've never been able to cut-and-paste in the terminals (in virtual machines) so I hope your video covers some of that. I might try it again
Try Sakura install that package thencrun it. It opens a seprate terminal where you may copy and paste

What did you choose the Linux version, there is no Arch Linux or a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux in the list in new virtual machine wizard window?

@Ritwish Basu I'm sure your right. and it seems like the pi is getting slower and slower as the time passing, been working on a 4B and a 8 GB for a year and a half respective a year on the 8B and its not as useful as it was to start with. but can do. I have used arch linux, kali linux, and now I use raspberry os with openbox. I have learned as was the intention but still a way to go, I am mostly interesting in networking/ security/white hat hacking (and stealing my cellphone from android/hardware hacking) that's why I wanted blackarch, to learn to know the tools available

Can you help me fix grub in blackarch , I installed it on hard drive as my daily driver . I'm using it on a uefi system installed in efi mode with gpt partition table and grub will not load no matter what I try . I think I'm having problems with 5.3 kernel , and I wanna switch to a lts kernel but can't . I tried using grub customizer to switch but no luck . If I install with dos partition table then grub loads but then blackarch can't see any of my other hard drives or OSes . I have no idea what I'm missing , plus also is there a way to disable the default dark theme ? I'm trying to use a lighter theme because with the default dark theme much in just about every application is completely unreadable . But when I switch to the lighter theme , the dark the doesn't switch everywhere and the desktop looks terrible . Please help I beg you brother . Please

@@sirvod707 in memory zeroed partition i chossed no. I left 100gb of space unallocated.And while i was partioning it. It gives me error primary partition cannot be created.

@@sirvod707 It's in MBR . I checked.and in mbr we can only create 4 primary partions. In gpt its unlimited or till 128. If i convert it to gpt my data will be lost or not I am not so sure about that.

hello linux user. I have problem installing linux base on my computer. after i format the os on hd , when it boot up . i got black screen and my display said HDMI not detected
You have to install your video driver.
had same problem i was told graphics card drivers as i was using nvidea card a old card that parrot sec didnt support but linux mint did...

Hello everyone more advanced than me in the comments... After a week of research I decided to go with BlackArch as my first Linux... I like the idea of it being no gui and this will force me to use the cli... am I biting off more than I wanna chew here or will this help to hyper propel me to Z lvl hacking ASAP??

Hey, when I type pacman -Sy it shows tons of errors .In nutshell ,it says could not resolve host. What should I do?😕😕

alright so i put in the pacman -S command but anytime i may a update command and ive tried every command i can think of i get warning database file for core extra community multilib and black arch do not exist (use -sy to download. now i tried sy too but that aint workin. help?

When I try to create the partition, at the end when I tried to write the changes, there is an error message "did not write partition table to disk", any help please? Thank you.
You have to type in yes when it asks the question in cfdisk.

It will delete everything on the partition you created it on.
I net-installed ParrotOS on my SSD from my HDD and had no problems at all.

Good Question Anas, mainly for all the tools that come with BlackArch for one. But mainly Black Arch is for more advanced users. So in my opionion you can do a lot more with Blackarch than you can Kali Linux.
Adventure..some prefer MATE based (ParrotOS for example) Operating Systems over GNOME based (Kali Linux for example) Operating Systems (and vica versa) so it's all about Adventure..
why buy a porsche when you already have a ferarri?

blackarch has over 2000 tools so it really good when it comes to pentesting but you gotta know tools.No point installing it if you got no clue what they do
also, blackarch inst that finished to run as a main os but it still is a really good lightweight os.
@@omegapsiphi1911I did use blackarch as a main os for 2-3 days and it just doesn't seem finished as a main machine os lacking a lot of features. If you want a lighter os than kali I suggest parrot os since it has a nice vibe and some customization
and seems really simple as an os. It's also similar to windows which makes it easier for beginners.
