This whole “drunk students died being idiots vs unpopular kid suicide” is some serious bull. My freshman year a senior killed themselves due to serious depression that my town was too hick to understand. A month earlier a bull rider was paralyzed during the rodeo. Because mr. bull rider was popular and had a very rich background, people were all over him. Mother fucker graduated school years before but still got several pages in our year book. People were blaming some dude who didn’t pray with the group for the accident. Like dude no this doofus was harassing a bull, he was got what was comin to him. And surprise it wasn’t even that serious, he can walk again. But the kid who killed himself? Oh I learned that from an art teacher. No yearbook pages, no overcome announcements, no assembly. They did set up a small table with one of his art projects on it. And a piece of paper that served as a condolence for the parents. Bitches round here felt that was good enough

Very small school, farming community, conservative Midwestern state, mid 80's.....
One girl from 3 consecutive years, '86, '87, '88........all graduated while pregnant.
One girl from my class was the mother of two kids by the time we graduated. Had the first one a little over a month into Junior Year and had the second child around March of Senior Year.
Our 10 year reunion is in October.

As a teacher I find it disgusting that they wouldn't have memorials for the less popular kids. I love all my students, even the assholes, and would be devastated if anything happened to any of them!

A kid in my brother's middle school painted the bathrooms in poop. Not sure in the kid was caught or anything. And I think a fire attempt.
Also, my other brother's friend told us about how a guy with a gun held him and another boy up in the bathroom, but walked away cause the bell rang. The two guys got away and alerted police.
During my time in HS, there were several deaths. Mostly murder-suicides, only one attempted murder-suicide on campus. All three happened the same way: girl leaves her boyfriend, boyfriend steals a gun or gets a hold of one somehow, finds his ex and kills her then himself. The on-campus attempt, from what I heard, was very close to actually killing somebody. The girl managed to run away before her ex could load the gun, the whole school went under lock down. K9, Sheriff, SWAT, the whole enchilada - all on this kid's ass.
Suicides did happen. One that made headlines was in December of maybe 2015/16. Guy was being bullied, so he ran away (on Monday) into the desert with a shotgun and killed himself (on Friday). His only family was his mother and grandma.
Other deaths were related to cancer. Including my english teacher who passed away, I remember she passed around the same time as Robin Williams. So, a double punch to the gut for me. She never talked about family of her own, so I'm not sure what happened; nor do I know what happened to her beloved snakes.
Twin boys, whom were suspended for something else (probably drug-related), came to school to do something or get something from the front desk - ended up in a fight with my math teacher and a policeman /school security. One got held down by the cop, the other brother ran into the desert followed by a helicopter. My history teacher played the live news coverage on the board, so I got to watch and so did the whole class.
Lots of teens smoking or taking edibles on campus. Weed was very popular. Some students even smoked in class, behind buildings, in bathrooms, and probably on the football field. I did hear about a party-location in the desert that these teens would go to in order to smoke and drink, but that went quiet when the desert caught fire. (hmmm, wonder why?)
I think maybe 2 or 3 teen pregnancy cases. I know one of the couples from middle school, who I honestly never thought they were even remotely attracted to another. Like, the girl is very pretty, but her baby-daddy looks like he does coke. It's weird. Beautiful baby tho, I see her on FB sometimes.
Also, during my freshman year, my health teacher told us a story about a teenage house party gone wrong. As in a kid died. And another about teenagers pushing an autistic boy into the lake where he drowned.
There was a rumor about a girl in a wheelchair getting sexually assaulted at a prom, but I knew just about every kid in Special Ed, and there was only a boy in a wheelchair that year. No girls in wheelchairs till the following year when the new batch of freshman arrived.

I think I was a senior in highschool, it came out the superintendent (who's been there for like 20y) had lied about having a PhD and some other things on his resume and wasn't qualified to have his job and no one had bothered to check for like 20y. He was fired, it sounds like the district is doing way better now that they have a real professional running it.
There were some bigger ones in college, but the funniest one was when a squirrel got into some power lines and stuff (I have no idea how that stuff works) and chewed there one of the lines. Killed the squirrel and the power to half the campus. You needed keycards to unlock the classrooms... With no power our professor couldn't open up the classroom and classes were cancelled until they could get the power back. School newspaper did this whole hilarious obit for the hero squirrel who gave his life for us to have a day off.
A lot of blackouts are caused by squirrels.
My old school principal got arrested for embezzling over $1 million in school fees. He was caught the year after I graduated and the story actually circulated mainstream news a little for a week afterwards
At my old high school, this guy put bleach in a teacher's coffee and she almost drank it because she had no sense of taste and smell

10:40 That story is very similar to one that happened at my high school. When I was a freshman, two brothers (a junior and senior) passed away after an accident where the senior was doing 60 in a 35 with his brother in the car. They got a ceremony and a page in the yearbook. But then the following school year, a girl who didn't even go to our school at that point, who had just graduated, died after a tree fell on top of her car and she was crushed. She got a story in the newspaper, bracelets to give to the students, a double spread in the yearbook, a scholarship named after her. The spirit rock was painted for her and was essentially puppy-guarded if anyone else wanted to paint it to something else. All of this and she didn't even go to the high school anymore. I never said anything about how unfair the treatment of death was because I was partially involved in the rock-painting scandal, and the girl's sister was in my grade, so it would get around quickly. It still p's me off today
I go to a small middle school in Canada, so we never really had any huge incidents per se, but here are three incidents that I remember clearly:
1. It was September 13th, 2017. I believe it was only the second week of school, so people were still just getting into the routine. Note that my school is REALLY behind on memes/trends (PPAP didn't die off until FALL OF 2018). At this point, the killer clown craze was still a thing at my school, even though it had died off almost a year prior all around us. On that day, just after the end of lunch break, multiple sightings of a killer clown dressed in black and white walking on the athletics track were reported. I didn't see it myself, but the atmosphere was very tense for the rest of the day. Teachers never did anything, but we were expecting a full-on lockdown. Never happened. Nothing ever came of those sightings, and the clown was never seen again. A very manipulative and attention-seeking girl in my grade managed to convince my school that the people who reported these sightings all had schizophrenia. I felt bad for the accused.
2. November 10th, 2017. It was the third period (out of six) of the day, and we were about to transition to fourth period soon. When suddenly, the power went out! It was a huge event for us (see how boring my school is?). Everyone was panicking, even with the emergency lights on. They had to swap fourth period with lunch and vice-versa. That was something.
3. Sometime in the first half of 2019. Don't even remember the date, which surprises me because I usually remember dates very easily. It was the very last period of the day (there were about 10-15 minutes left until we went home). I got called to the main office to pick up something for the class, don't remember what. As soon as I left the office, the lights in the hallway I was in started flickering. That never happened to me before, so I was a bit preoccupied. To get back to where I was at, I had to go down the main entrance hallway, which led right into the cafeteria in which I had to turn left, then I had to turn left again just outside the cafeteria then go down that hallway, then go up a staircase, turn right and there was my class. As soon as I branched out into the cafeteria? Lights flickering. As soon as I got into the other hallway? Lights flickering. I was so scared at that point that I yeeted myself into the nearest classroom and stayed there for about 2-3 minutes. That classroom was right at the foot of the staircase I had to go up. I eventually mustered up the courage to go up the staircase. At that point, the power had entirely shut off and the emergency lights were running. I FINALLY got to my class, and it was just about time to check into our locker one last time before heading home. While we were getting our stuff at our lockers, the emergency lights went out. Now, it was total anarchy. The only lights running were the battery powered light strings that girls had in their lockers. I was ENJOYING this anarchy now. The journey across the school to the bus/car terminal was done in pitch black. That was also a HUGE something.

I was in canada once and I dont recall ever hearing about a murder or robbery...the news was super boring....it was weird. I am from Philadelphia. However I felt safe and enjoyed it. I'll take boring over psycho shit any day.

A student stabbed another (unarmed) student off premises. Kid was expelled, and is currently in prison.
My university gave the governor's daughter an MBA despite her not having the courses and credit hours needed to earn it. All of the board had to resign. The dean eventually had to resign as well after months of pressure from student outrage. Students showed their displeasure by burning couches with the dean's face taped all over it.
A month before he resigned, the dean of the college of engineering and applied sciences terminated my degree program, declaring that computer science is an obsolete discipline. Of course, this came from a man who never had an engineering degree and hasn't worked in the private sector in decades. The next dean reinstated the program. My professors announced this with glee and said "i'm getting hammered tonight!"

I am a middle schooler. This girl (we’ll call her R) was a really good singer. I was and still am really good friends with her. She’s also really good at acting and was the lead in the school play in fourth and fifth grade. She was the first fourth grader to have a lead role. Our middle school is made up of eight elementary schools combined, so most of the students didn’t see her perform until she got the lead again in sixth grade. However, after she auditioned and got the part, she developed some sort of throat problem and needed surgery. She didn’t get it until seventh grade, though. So she basically couldn’t sing, but they still let her have the role. When she performed in front of the school, she did really bad because of her throat. But the kids didn’t know that, and they assumed that her voice was always this bad. But here’s the part that turned into a scandal. Her mom is the director. So the most obvious guess was that her mom got her the part even thought she was bad. Only the people who went to elementary school with R know how good she is at singing. She doesn’t act anymore :( She does stage crew though.
A kid in my school was just arrested for threatening to shoot up an elementary school nearby. If I read correctly, they were charged with terroristic threats and admitted to the whole thing. It’s not even the first time threats have been made this month lmao. Another guy had a list of people he probably wanted to hurt and two of my friends were on it. He even asked where you could get a bulletproof vest. They might be the same person, but they didn’t say who made the most recent threats, so I’ll assume for now they’re different.
A kid was beaten up so bad his face was completely bloody and he went to the hospital. I think the guy who beat him up got charged with assault.
A fire broke out in the bathroom because a girl’s Juul caught on fire and she put it in the trashcan. Then this year a projector exploded and caught on fire.
Last year two girls got in a fight during my lunch period and I think they both got expelled for it.
A fifth grade teacher got cancer when I was in third grade and she ended up dying in the middle of the year. God I remember her class was so heartbroken after that happened.
When I was in middle school there were 2 bomb threats and the high school even got a shooting threat.
In eighth grade some guy drew dicks in the boys bathroom so we all had to use one bathroom that was monitored by teachers...and we had to go one at a time.
Only two people have died so far. One was a suicide because of bullying. Everyone thought he died playing the choking game since you could see the scars on his neck, but it’s obvious that was from something else. He was in my homeroom and the teacher had to step out because she was crying so hard. The other was by cancer: leukemia, I think. She was such a nice girl, it’s horrible that she died so young.
The school had a HUGE scandal for an entire year because there was a workshop where you’d say things about your family’s wealth, divorces, your sexuality/gender, really personal stuff like that. It was a really bad thing that started a whole bunch of bullying.

My grade 12 year, a teacher got arrested for stalking a student. News crews showed up for weeks trying to get students to talk to them about her. Her defense eventually was that she was mentally disabled and the student she stalked was the ringleader of a group of bullies who bullied her. When she was arrested she was outside his house in the middle of a Friday.
Not as crazy as bomb threats or student/teacher relationships. But a first year student in high school kept triggering the fire alarm every day for a week. It was always at the start at a lesson and due to the time it takes for the students to get to the assembly point and the firefighters to come and go, the lesson’s almost over. The firefighters got pissed off at the daily false alarms. They caught him at the end of the week and he got expelled. Many of us were just glad it was summer and the weather wasn’t freezing rain. Makes me wonder what happened to to the simple act of just not showing up

When I was in high school, there was some speculation that a teacher or two was drinking alcohol. One classmate noticed one teacher's coffee didn't have a smell to it, thinking the teacher might've brought vodka.

Two of my classmates have basically been expelled at the end of this term. Everybody else was shocked and confused that this decision was made; I’m not surprised in the slightest. They’ve been very disruptive and disrespectful, playing music at the top of their speaker’s volume, singing along at the top of their lungs, taking Facetime calls in the middle of class, being suuuuuper bitchy and offensive to classmates and teachers alike without any care for who they offend. The poor teacher has had to leave the classroom several times to calm down out of pure frustration, once in the middle of giving us our very first assignment for the day. Also I should mention that this is tertiary education for people with disabilities, and our classrooms have been in public community centres, so there’s a bunch of other people coming through the building who get to hear all of this nonsense. March 27 is their last day, and even though I am kinda friends with one of them, I’m not going to miss them when they leave. It almost feels unnatural for me to not care about them leaving, because I am a very caring person. I’m the person who’s always happy to give you Panadol if you’re in pain, and it takes a lot of pushing for me to even dislike someone, let alone hate them. But these girls, man... I’ve just completely run out of patience and sympathy for them. They brought this on themselves, and it’s baffling to me that the rest of the class can’t see that, that they’re actually confused and indignant about these girls getting kicked out. No way am I going to paint a target on my own back by pointing out the obvious though, these girls are the popular clique ringleaders, I’d just have the remaining clique on my ass for it. This is going to be a long year of politely tolerating my remaining classmates until we can graduate. Wish me luck!

Right after Obama got elected my junior year, there was a rumor about a school shooting to take place at my high school. On the day of the rumored shooting, quite a few cops were on campus throughout the day and parents pulled out a lot of their kids throughout the day. There was a line of parents at the main office during lunch.
A few weeks after Junior Year ended, the girls basketball coach resigned after it was revealed he had a hidden video camera in his private bathroom. Had it in there to record girls changing clothes. He was charged with video voyeurism.
Two months before my senior year ended, one of the senior English teachers resigned. I found out last year the reason she resigned was because she didn't want the school administrators to investigate her. Some of her students made false accusations against her and she supposedly shoved one student out of her classroom. Her students compared her class to a concentration camp. Students and teachers were interviewed by administrators and numerous investigations were launched against her. She quit in order to avoid the final results.
There was a nurse in the county in charge of student medication who swapped out the stuff in the capsules with sugar to use/sell the drugs herself. They weren't even anything particularly valuable or useful, maybe some ADHD medication or something but nothing that'd be worth ruining your life for.
At my primary school, there was this kid who was ballistic. He would scold any teacher and do anything to get his way. One time, the principal went to see him. The principal wanted to see him because he had threw a chair at a teacher ( teacher was unhurt). When he saw the principal, he went psycho. Shouting and screaming, attempting to throw things at the principal. That was the last straw. He was expelled and forced to change to another school. Turns out, his father had died and he was living with mother. Apparently he's better now, idk heard from my friends.

My english teacher and the school counselor discovered they apparently were bisexual... both ended up dumping their husbands and splitting up their families with kids on both sides, to be together. This was in a small town in Sweden. Gossip of the year. Everyone knew.
Grade 9 - someone spray painted a swastika on the bathroom stall
Grade 10 - someone didn’t fully extinguish a cigarette before proceeding to accidentally light the trash can on fire
Grade 11 - someone made a gun threat to a school with our school’s initials, we went on lockout, luckily not our school
Grade 12 - someone posted a blackface selfie on Instagram
My college had 2 swastikas painted. Students freaked out. Both guys got caught on camera. Both instances were staged given neither guy would actually fit in with Nazis in the slightests
We had one recently at some school where I live in New Zealand, a female teacher had been having sexual relations with a few male seniors.

Back in senior school my school did a charity day where students can donate certain amounts of money to a certain charity it was also the head mistress last day of school. Anyway days later people found out the money wasn’t given to the charity’s and the head mistress ran off With all the money.

Kid sent death threats and stalked teachers then tried to frame a friend of mine for it. She got detention for just 4 days.
At my school a high school teacher had a affair with two boys, her husband/bf didn’t break up though, and a couple months later she had a baby (hint: it looks nothing like the husband)
Mine was when a so basicly one of the Spanish(male) and Maths(female) teacher where married but the Spanish teacher was actually a closeted gay and was having an affair with the art teacher(male)
One of our PE teachers used to touch up the girls during class under the guise of teaching them to do gymnastics/trampolining moves. In front of the whole class. He also forced the kids to walk outside in the snow in their underwear because they'd cut through one of the gyms to get to the changing rooms.
I was in HS, and the gym teacher was getting it on with a student. The student had told her bestie & then they had a falling out so she exposed the whole thing. He ended up getting sent to an elementary school
This reminds me of the time someone pulled the fire alarm over and over again. We missed the whole day of school.😩😩😩

There was a teachers assistant in my World history 1 and 2 classes in my freshman and sophomore years. One day he was caught at a local walmart Upskirting (Taking pictures up women skirts). He got arrested and I saw it on the local news the next day. My history teacher announced he was no longer employed with the county and didn't state why but everyone around the school had heard the news already.
There was a random fight between two guys during lunch and no deans were close by, a female teacher got involved, one of the guys punched her in the face and broke her nose, then proceeded to dislocate her shoulder and break her hand. Teacher was on medical leave for months and when she came back she still looked pretty beat up and said she still had to keep the cast for her hand for five months. The worst part? Student who assaulted the teacher was only suspended for a week, and the other student involved in the fight? Expelled. Fucked up.

I understand some of the first one. You’re not supposed to have a memorial for a student who dies by suicide because, the thinking goes, that could encourage others to commit suicide too. But 3 pages for a kid who killed himself drinking and driving is to much. I know kids do stupid stuff and sometimes get killed for it. Accidents happen. Especially when your a young teen who still thinks they are gonna live forever. But that drunk driver could have killed other people too, and he was old enough to know that. Send his friends to in school therapy, but no memorials please.
Personally I would rather the school acknowledge it than sweep it underneath the rug. I only learned recently that three kids killed them selves at my highschool last year and it was never addressed. I cannot image how their friends and family feel, knowing that it’s living up to the standard that no one cares about them. Maybe not a memorial, but it should be addressed.

The one with drunk driver memorialised with 5 pages made me feel like the girl was right about how the boy died by suicide did not receive much coverage. I imagine the people who gave her death threats for expressing her concern and not giving respect to them are those who truly lack any remorse for those innocent that died whatsoever.
I have a bunch actually, I transferred schools in 7th grade and I honestly don’t know if I would have been better off at the first one. The headmistress of the second school liked publicly humiliating students if they didn’t conform to her ‘ideal’ good boys and girls. A gay student was thinking about bringing his boyfriend to prom, she got him in front of the entire school and told him that was both inappropriate and sinful and that she would pray for his soul.
She would make racist comments about the black and Indian students- and how the only reason she included ‘colored’ kids was because they were good at sports.
She bugged the classrooms so if anything that was ‘inappropriate’ or anything ‘abusive’ that was said about her could be punished harshly- ranging from someone mentioning the local pride parade to me calling her batshit insane about the stuff she pulled.
She was finally forced to retire when it came out her husband was molesting kids- the board didn’t think she was the right person for the job anymore.
I could go on, and I actually might later, because I have a lot of pent up aggression toward that woman.
Too many to count but a really stupid one? During my freshman year there would be someone setting on fire one (or two) of the big trash cans outside for like three months straight, always at entirely random times, sometimes at lunch, sometimes on first period, we never found out who was doing it but it resulted in everyone wasting a lot of time because the entire school had to be evacuated until the fire alarm stopped ringing, and the safety department of the school district ended up having to attend one of our assemblies to talk about it because it was happening every day so it obviously was an issue lmao
Some kid pulled the fire Alarm. That was the day I left for a band trip in Minneapolis. I'm not ashamed to say I was more worries about that and my saxophone and bassoon then the building itself.
My school ,we had to lockdown because of a girl who brought a taser and gun to school. Spent a half hour under lockdown

Freshman year, 2 students got busted being intimate in the auditorium when a student technician turned on a bank of spotlights to see which one he had to replace for a concert the next evening.
Sophomore year, a student skipping school is killed when he rode a 4 wheeler across the highway and got hit by an 18 wheeler.
Junior year, A senior student got 3 Freshman girls pregnant and got arrested for 3 counts of R*pe of a Minor Under 15 as he was over 18 at the time. A new English teacher is rumored to be having an affair with a 11th grade student.
Senior year, English teacher returns from summer break married to student from prior year and pregnant with his child. Graduation night a graduating Senior dies in a car crash on his way home from a party where he had stayed sober to make sure his classmates got home safe. He fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a tree. He had given 14 drunk students rides home after the parties.
Someone important got pregnant. They were single. Laid off.
School was religious

9:45 I didn’t want to laugh, but I did anyways
1. Two kids put methylated spirits in a kids drink bottle
2. Two kids caught fricking in the sports gear shed in the gym.
3. Out classroom set fire then thr firetrucks got stuck, the fire destroyed all of the donations for a recent charity event where we had raised the most amount of money in the country.
4. The year above me in highschool locked goats jn the agriculture teachers room for a school prank and for another teacher they put all the tables and chairs in the Centre of the room opened up bean bags and then hid different sized photos of her photoshopped onto an axolotil it was so well done that 3 years later she was still finding new places they had hid them.

8. An autistic adult who we'd all grown up with (he was verbal but not much). A very sweet guy, I'd known since he was 15. He walked the same path each day it was about 10km going around the town. He didn't come home one day and his family started worrying it turns out he bad fallen couldn't get up after having a seizure and suffocated to death as he couldn't move his head after the seizure

A few years ago someone wrote whites only on a bathroom stall. The highschool is split up into two, one is juniors and seniors the other is freshman and sophomores. The juniors and seniors had a peaceful protest and the freshman and sophomores had a literal riot, a lot of kids were suspended at the lower school. It made local news
My senior year a junior tried to kill my pre-calc teacher. She put some of the road salt in his water bottle. The teacher noticed and she was expelled. First expulsion in over 5 years.
I know I'm super late but I want to share my story in my middle school there was a photography teacher he was a great guy and was really cool I had his class for awhile and after I went to high school he was caught with pictures of kids at my middle school
