This is so fascinating! I'm about to be baptized into an Episcopal church after growing up Southern Baptist. This is the first year I celebrated Ash Wendsday/Lent/Palm Sunday/Holy Week. It such a beautiful tradition. Thank you for your explanation!

Christ fasted for entirely different reasons which you failed to mention in this video! He himself declared ALL foods CLEAN! "For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean. Which includes EATING MEAT ANYTIME; he set NO DAYS!) Mark 7:19 (This is ONLY part of it; you also FAILED to mention that the Gregorian Calendar and Julian Calendar are still at odds.) Read John Calvin and Martin Luther's essays on fasting; they were once Catholics like us, I wish to know your opinion... What does MARCION say on FASTING?? JEROME? BENEDICT? DOMINIC? LEARN TO RECOGNIZE JEWISH CELEBRATIONS ALONG CHRISTIAN ONES...NOT THE SAME! (EASTERN CHRISTIANITY IS NOT COMMENSURATE AS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHRISTIANITY, NEVER HAS BEEN; EVEN GREEK CATHOLICS ARE A BIT DIFFERENT along with Ukrainians Polish, Russian, Bulgarian, etc. This did not become design in your contention or your failure of mention!.) ☦☦☦
