Great looks Brian, but spring being the end of winter, I would have liked to see more boots incorporated into these looks. Rain and slush doesnt combine well with loafers. For the people on the east coast, these looks are amazing looking, but slightly unachievable based on climate alone. However these looks are perfect for the end of spring imo. I am definitely going to try to incorporate some of the elements of these looks later on in May or June!!
Very impressive...but that is what everyone expects from you...class and great deal of sophistication..KEEP up the outstanding information that you give out...don't stop..peace..over and out...
Excellent video, i believe you did a great job on all 5 looks, i especially preferred the first 3, also wanted to say look number 5 is not bad at all, but is one of those outfits that it cannot be pull off by just everyone. Keep it up!
All great outfits, however, that first jacket is a stunner and the last l outfit is so stylish. Also, watches really work beautifully with what you're wearing...👍
@@hespokestyle You know the nice brands. In my opinion Incotex is one of the best brand for trousers. And your Cartier Tank Americaine is so beautiful!

Hey Brian! I really love look #3, I have never though of wearing a long sleeve polo as an outer layer. It has this sporty yet formal atmosphere, and it sort of made me do a double take because I thought it was a normal sweater at first. Love the classic looks as usual, all in all, another solid collection of looks. Cheers! - Han
I love cotton slacks & jackets. I also love linen clothes for spring and summer. I probably have more than I need in my wardrobe.. The problem? After wearing cotton or linen for half an hour, the look like you slept in them.
Love love love! This video is everything to me. I am a teacher living in Houston so because of my profession and climate I live in I am always looking for inspiration in this category. Because of this bias of mine I wouldn't mind seeing WAY more videos like this one ;)
I love all these idea videos. They're simple to take inspiration from, and that is exactly what guys need. Do you have any videos on how to style shorts during mid summer? I have my ideas, but im probably not the only one who would like a video. Keep up the great work!
Oh man, I enjoy your content so much, really an inspiration! It's great you introduce and reccomend new companies I never heard of . Great job as always !
Great video as always Mr. Sacawa. You do know that I love the outfit breakdown, so let's get right into it... Outfit #1: Love the outfit. The blazer is absolutely beautiful and comes with a lovely and unique pattern. Surely it's the standout piece in the outfit, and the rest of it being simple is obviously a good way to go. Outfit #2: My favourite outfit. Love the light pink shirt with the navy blazer, and the off white trousers give a very unique look and spring-esque look. Outfit #3: A marvellous grown up casual outfit. Great for any man above 40. Outfit #4: This truly is a classic. My second favourite outfit in the video. I love how simple, elegant and yet how easy on the eye it looks. The peak lapel and the ticket pocket is one of those details that also add a distinct uniqueness to the sport-coat rather than the standard notch lapel and patch pockets. Outfit #5: Love the double-breasted blazer, just not sure about wearing it with jeans. Although, this look is my least favourite, I do appreciate your guts and creativity to wear a double-breasted blazer with a pair of jeans and without a tie.
Thank you, as always, Aziz! Great commentary. Appreciate you taking the time to chime in like that so consistently. You're a wonderful member of the community.
The pleasure is mine, Mr. Sacawa! I love style and I love this community. I do have a question for you: I want to get my first pair of cufflinks, and I want something that is simple, versatile and yet it stands out from the crowd. What style of cufflinks should I go for? I would really appreciate your answer.
Nothing says sophistication quite like linen. I love linen/cotton blend suits and blazers. I do like the HSS Classic look. I have a number of retro look wider lapel blazers which I wear with a knit blend tie. Your channel is the only channel I tend to watch these days. Solid relaxed unpretentious and mature content. One question Brian. If you could have just one watch which one would you choose? Regards from Staffordshire England.
Thanks so much, Gary. Appreciate those words. And great question. That is something that kind of changes from time to time (no pun intended). Too hard to choose right now!
Nice video Brian. Do you by chance like the Cartier Pasha? I think it's a pretty cool watch. I also think it might be cool if you do some videos commenting on celebrity fashion and watches and stuff.
great and informative video. For your kit, were they mostly Drop 6/7? The quarter of your jacket seems very curvy rather than squared. They compliment your build too!
Really respect your channel and how you approach the classic menswear mentality. I wear a suit and tie for work everyday and I’ve always been a brown shoe, brown belt, brown leather strap watch guy. I’m planning to add more black into my shoe and belt collection as well as purchasing the Tank Americain with the black strap. What are your thoughts on the watch strap being a different color from the belt and shoes of a formal business look?
Thanks so much for the support, Joshua. Sometimes it's unavoidable mixing different colors, especially when it comes to watch straps. Sometimes you can change them but in the case of the Tank Americaine, not really possible because of the deployant clasp. Black leather for a more formal look is always a good choice though.
- 4, 1, 5, 2, 3 ! ! ! - haha i was gonna ask about the pants in #2. similarly, i do think that the white jeans could be tapered and would look better if they were a little bit longer. - all the jackets featured were nice, but that last one (DB) jacket really caught my eye!!
The jeans definitely don't need to be tapered. When you store/fold them the way I do, it's hard to get them to lose the crease even with a lot of steaming.
@@hespokestyle I see. It's just that I felt the area below the knee flares up flat sometimes and looked wider. But it's not a significant flare I'd say. Ironing perpendicularly without forming the straight crease could help! Cheers!
The Look Number 3 es amazing for me. It is comfortable, casual, excellent. The only problem is that I can't find very good quality polo in my country. Greetings from Argentina 💪
Great looks, thanks for taking the time to put these together. Question, the 2" pants cuffs. That seems to be a trend now when did that start and do you see it continuing? I thought cuffs were out...
Absolutely loved the looks! I think a more descriptive definition of business casual at the start of the video would’ve been more useful. Something like - collared shirts, no jeans, no suits (I understand that even this is not quite accurate for some business casual offices). Cheers! P. S. There’s nothing ‘business’ about the last look if you ask me. It’s casual in my mind, but fantastic nonetheless.
GREAT!!, I really appreciate this, specially because it is difficult for a man, try to use a different dress code, and i mean it about ligther colors. Thank you very much!!!
Starting with most favorite 5, 1, 4, 2, 3. I like 5 cause it has some Pitti vibe. I like the color combination of 1 and could totally see my self wearing this to the office. 4 would make a great look for a client presentation. 2 got rated lower cause it definitely would be a simple go to. I rated 3 as my least as this look I’m stating to see as the new CIO uniform. Although yours does look better compared to theirs 🙂
3rd outfits was my favourite and the 1st jacket, pure perfection. Seems like suede shoes are a staple of the season. Is that correct or are they more of a Fall/Autumn deal?
Brian, a question....Do you ever wear good dress shoes (i.e., Allen Edmonds) with dark blue jeans and a polo or dress shirt? I don't classify that style as "business casual" per se, but rather "smart casual". Do you agree? I'd love your thoughts on the subject of jeans and dress shoes (brown...not black)
Yeah, sometimes those terms are used interchangeably. Depending on the shoe, it can work how you suggest. A wingtip with some broguing is a good choice.
Just beautiful, each and every look! I'd like to ask you about your experience with Suitsupply's sizing system. What size do you wear? I love their designs but looking at their shop's pictures the jacket seems a bit short... Is that the case? I'm 1.80 meters. Thank you in advance, Brian.
Yeah, Suitsupply's styling/fit is on the trendier side--i.e. shorter jackets, slim fitting. The jacket here is a 36R, but I think if I was going to buy it again, it would be a 38R.
Hi Bryan, great video! I've tried several business casual outfits recently and it works fabulous! Only one little question, how you keep your shirt perfectly tucked in? Everytime I stand up from my desk the front part of the shirt tends to come out and create a small bump in front of my belly which is super annoyed. Do you have any tips can share? Thanks. C.
Good question! If it fits and it's long enough, you should be okay. But even then you may have to adjust if you're up and down a lot. I did a video on this topic. Check it out: th-cam.com/video/ZNuvyDw1GOg/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, Jason. It's just the way they lay because of how I fold them. Even a bunch of steam doesn't get the crease out. Leg opening is the same as all the other trousers.
One thing stands out to me: All of the trousers seem to be too short by about 1 1/2 inches. Maybe I'm just out of touch (and style) but I think they would look better just a bit longer.
An interesting topic for me would be that of clothing that do not need to be dry-cleaned. As someone who lives in a place where dry-cleaning is both expensive and impractical, I tend to shy away from clothing that requires dry-cleaning. Do you have any insight on good brands, or pieces for someone like me? I understand if I cannot "request" a video. Cheers anyway.
You can certainly suggest topics! That's how a lot of videos get made. I might look into shirts that are non-iron. Brooks Brothers has some. Other than that, I'm not sure.
Difficult choice between number 1 and number 5, I love both blazers. Especially the colour and pattern on number 1 and of course I’m always weak for a double breasted peak lapel 😌
I think the Suitsupply DB looks quite horrible... Not the fabric nor the cut, just the proportions, cut and fit of the collar is idk weird/looks of... Other than that, great video, love the ice blue shirt!
*Man, I had the weirdest dream about you the other day...* We're at your house (me and a few other random guys) and you get this giant package in the mail. *It's a 12 foot taxidermy alligator.* Well, we thought it was a taxidermy.
