The problem is that the smile only happens when they obey the first law not at the start, but i do agree that the smile wouldve made episode 1 alot better

@@SirYeoj Only way I saw that happen is if they went straight off the manhwa and left out the light novel Jeju Raid to make the time, but I do like that they used the light novel to add just a smidge more world building and development for future characters. Either way, still lit
For those who don't know, that extra scene that happened in the beginning of the anime, that wasn't in the manhwa, it was actually in the Korean light novel of solo leveling, so it's safe to say A1 PICTURES will be adapting the solo leveling Korean light novel and sticking to the manhwa artstyle at the same time

I don't think so. That scene feels like a raid that happened before the manhwa one. It even says 3 years later.
Plus, the manhwa one just had the S-class raiding the island. They didn't bring all these other people, unless of course they decided to change that.
I'm not mad that it didn't show the end of the dungeon in fact I'm happy since I now have hope that they can adapt it without skipping or rushing the story even tho I'm a very impatient person I'd rather wait than watch an adaptation get rushed
@sxmmjr unlocking what ? , if its the thing i think it should be soon , but if its the class it may take sometime but not that much time tbh depends on how many chapters they adapt per ep i think they are adapting the novel + manhwa too so there's things they will add that wasnt on the manhwa

The only complain from a manwha reader is that they didn't release the 2 eps in a row or an hour long special as it only really starts to pop off after the double dungeon

The beginning scene on the island is actually taken from the light novel (from what I've heard) and that could mean that they will go with the light novel ending of the manhwa which is supposed to be a lot better then the manhwa, either way this anime is going to be really good (I hope)

The anime is supposedly following the novel, which introduces the Jeju Island incident in the beginning and some side character development. Way better than the manwha

Also, blades have weight. If it is hanging out of you and no longer being held up by the attacker, that blade handle is going to just drag that blade and do its best to point 'up' in his stomach. Get that shit out, this isn't an arrow we are talking about.

I'm glad they didn't include the smile at the end. There was a specific reason the statue smiled if you remember. So even though it'd be a cool cliffhanger to see it, I'm glad they didn't do it just to do it.

I’m so glad I didn’t read the novel . Seeing all this for a first time is literally jaw dropping for me 😮 I always knew about the character so I’m amazed at how good the anime is.

I was honestly worried about the animation, but I loved it, it isn't crazy but it's better than just good or the trailers they showed

6:47 Every dungeon has a predetermined rank that's asessed before it's put on the market, and before you are permitted to purchase the association would first asses if your team can handle the dungeon. So yes, they _would_ be cocky enough to not have a healer (less expense as well I reckon) if the hunters outrank the Dungeon by at least a letter. A hunters can finish a C or D dungeons easily and find challenge in a B dungeon. So if he was with D rank hunters then an E rank dungeon would be nothing, and so they didn't need a healer. But yes, it's still stupid, it's mandatory to have these positions filled for a higher success rate.

7:57 it's less "kindly", more "condescendingly". And that's really just attributed to the korean culture. No offense to koreans, it's just how the culture is formed. But I've observed that they go the passive aggressive offense route more than overt insults thrown to your face. They love to put a good face forward even when fighting. And really I'd rather they just talk shit to my face instead of hiding behind false sincerity, bc if you react then suddenly you're the bad guy. You can tell at the start that the only appropriate response to this way of backhanded insults is to laugh with them so you don't look like you're overreacting or overly sensitive. But ig to the western viewer it _would_ look like they're being nice since they're not throwing hands and spitting at your face lol (see what I did there).
