To say they are doing the solo leveling anime justice is actually an understatement, the adaptation has been absolutely flawless so far 😭😭

Favorite part is when the mage throws the fire ball and Sung just teleports and swiftly appears right infront of him with glowing eyes, such a W. ❤️🔥
They made it very coool and so epic
He didn't teleport, he just moved fast. He doesn't have a TP skill.
That part and the flashing in front of the group's leader and smashing his face to the ground was epic.
Jinwoo got his tp skill in monarchs battle arc, but in this scene jinwoo use his Dash+Agility spending his points into agility and strength jinwoo literally an assassin, fighter, healer, support, tank type hunter
The only thing I didn't like about this scene was that they severely nerfed the brutality of the killings. In the manwha, Jinwoo really made Kyuhwan suffer more. As soon as he dodged the fireball and teleported in front of him, he sliced off his arm that was about fire off another fireball. He let him scream and bleed out for a few seconds before proceeding to slice up the rest of his body to pieces.
Since episode 1, we've heard the manhau readers talking about Sung Drip-woo. Drip-woo this, Drip-woo that. He's the GOAT - and we haven't really seen why. A lot of people thought that the glow up in episode 5 was it and felt underwhelmed. But TRUE Drip is more than a pretty face and 2% body fat. Drip is a mindset. Drip is visceral and hits you in your bones. THIS is Sung Drip-woo and Solo Leveling only gets better from here
This is also just one of the many instances of him dropping cold hard one-liners against his enemies. cant wait til he starts wearing all black😂

Jinwoo barely managed to beat him with all his soldiers,so it was understandable. Plus,Baruka was too prideful to concede to Shadow Extraction. Even Jinwoo was frustrated and almost insulted Yoonho lol. But,hey, at least he got that dagger.

12:38 movement, the way he stabbed looks so detailed and real.. And in 12:57, A1 used a common fighting style but they animate it in such a unique and epic way. It felt more scarier than the other animes.

The OST is called Dark Aria Lv2 & it's on Spotify. I've had it on repeat ALL DAY. As a manhwa/novel reader, they did that scene better than I could have imagined. The adaptation snob in me is very pleased with A1.

That's a tough thing, story says the gates have only been around for 10 years I think (if that) so that guy either got a lot of those scars from before that or he wasn't doing it that long.
Likely he was a soldier, awakened to a high level (A or S) then started doing gates. So "younger days" is a bit relative. Dude was powerful like that only after he was old.
Best thing I love about the music when he starts hunting the hunters is that it’s such a calm sounding song but the lyrics talk about death and jinwoo is killing during it just showing his pure acceptance to what he has to do in order to survive and grow stronger
Bro I cannot tell you how happy I am seeing Solo Leveling keep going strong. It lives and dies with its artwork and hype. They went above and beyond making it great. Especially the MUSIC

The skill is still called bloodlust for me (my opinion also thats what its called in the manhwa also) thats a better name for it also the "Drain" effect should have been bleed instead and the killings where more brutal in the manhwa I feel like wich I would have liked here, still a good episode though.
Let's not focus on terms now,cut them some slack! They been doing a great job at it,we should appreciate that!
In LN its called DRAIN and Murderous Intent btw.And they are adapting the LN coz manhwas story pacing is basicaly 3 out of 10.

I can't overstate how much I love this episode. The OST decision is so fucking good. Instead of hyping up and celebrating that he's killing assholes, they made it sad and remorseful rising into angry and bitter that he's being forced to kill humans.
And the way he appears to dissociate after realizing using the system as an excuse isn't enough and resolving to do what's necessary to survive anyway? Going numb to the killing like he's killing a part of his own humanity in the process? Chills.

This episode was fcking PEAK, it got me so fckign hard when he started slashing the meatbags, and then the music... Holy damn, this adaptation is perfect, I can't wait for the "Arise" moment.
And the VA was even better than Nanami's from JJK, which is insane after the performance that guy pulled in season 2 during Nanami's rage moment.

I found it very strange that the hunters attacking jinwoo was a quest from the system. Does that mean the system controls the NPC hunters too? The ramifications of that are quite alarming
No,the system just adjusts the scenarios which JinWoo operates in. The hunters attacking with the intention to kill triggered a response from the system and turned it into a quest for JinWoo to survive and level up. It was unprecedented yet welcomed by the system. It's as JinWoo said "the system wants me to survive,it wants me to act and it wants me at my strongest. If that's what it wants then i'm gonna use the system to my aide". The system is tryna turn him into something else entirely (and i mean literally here,can't explain cuz of spoilers). Think of it as a training regime/period for JinWoo.
@@San_d_alphone I don't want any spoilers if you are a manwha reader, but the system created and controls the dungeons/monsters right? If it can create monsters and assign levels and abilities to humans, it must have total control over that world. It kind of feels like the matrix, you don't know what is real and what isn't. The system seems like it should be the final enemy because it is ultimately the architect behind everything.

Idk,how u know abt the architect and stuff,but since you asked me to avoid spoilers i would not go deep into explaining the deal with the Rulers for you (unless u would want me to).
The system doesn't create or control the monsters,dungeons in the real world. The system is only responsible for Jinwoo's actions as a "Player" whenever he taps into or qualifies for a certain parameter while leveling up. The instance dungeons,the job quests,the rewards are all assigned to Jinwoo only,and not to the other people. Notice how he ends up being in a different dimension when he gets the Job quests or instance dungeons,how he can use spatial magic when it comes to inventory and stuff. Jinwoo is like a live avatar controlled by the Architect in the real world,and the system strictly affects Jinwoo's position as a player and not the whole world.
The dungeons and monsters that appear around the world aren't designed by the system but the Rulers. The people who get certain abilities as awakened beings are "Hunters" while Jinwoo is a "Player" existing differently than others,as a sole being who can keep leveling up. There's a thin lining between the two terms,and u seem to intermix the two. That's it!
