- DayZ Frostline IS CONFIRMED TO HAVE DRIVABLE BOATS but there's also code and data related to what will be included in the stable release of DayZ 1.26. This includes boats being drivable, a new fuel powered bunker being added that can be powered with a generator, the ability to set dead zones for the thumb sticks on console, a frozen scientist dynamic event including a lockable briefcase and most of the clothing items and food coming with Sakhal.

It's cool they are adding deadzone. They could try fixing the sensetivity settings for xbox as I've mentioned numerous times. The bar slid all the way on is the same as the bar all the way down. Sensetivity doesn't actually change. Never has since they introduced it for xbox one players. Do they even know?

Briefcase is probably going to have whatever access to the bunker and power plant in it, that's the best guess similar to Livonia's punch card hunt from convoys and gas zones

The bunker door sounds as heavy as a fallout vault enterance door and the sound of the generator with the lamp+ventilation sounds and picturing what it would look like walking in those tunnels is giving me the chills
Imagine if you get the generator on, and proceed thru the tunnels, and then some one cuts the power and you don’t know who or where.

Not complaining, Im kind of excited for Frostline since its a new map, but I've burned myself out on Namalsk so idk how much I want to deal with the cold lol

Yeah, love what they did with this DLC overall, but if they gave a shot at implementing shooting from boats it would be such a nice segway to shooting from cars

@@panzer00 it will be a deliberate choice not to focus on it - Arma 3 devs mentioned it took a _lot_ of work to make it happen, and Arma reforger hasnt had it added yet either. I bet they're using their manpower wisely to not focus on something that will require a crazy amount of work to make it work good

Curious when and why you stopped? I stopped 2 or 3 months ago but plan on coming back when frostline comes out. Game just got stale
@@Shoes_Gone i also stopped playing just because everything to see in DayZ was seen too many times but i will buy the frostline expansion to check it out and have a few adventures before most likely stopping again until something new and exciting comes out.
@@Shoes_Gone realized nothing would ever compare to the thrill of the first couple hundred hours spent learning the game when Chernarus felt mysterious and unpredictable. It's still probably my favorite game of all time and was definitely the most hours I've ever put into a single game, but I wish they had leaned more into the simulator aspect of the OG Mod/pre-0.63 days and less the gamey/console side, but I guess Bohemia has gotta keep the lights on.
@@lemonbeans I totally get what you’re saying. And as a next gen console player, we hate having to support old gen consoles so I see why you would feel that way. But those reasons are pushing me to get a pc. After over 3.5k hours of Xbox dayz I’m just burnt out of it. Pc has so much variety and options. Most community servers on console are just money grabs with “custom bases” with loadouts you can buy and all sorts of stuff. One server I played you could pay $50 usd for one weekend of raid protection meaning no one can raid you… the game just feels so off on console. And official has a whole different set of quirks.
3:28 the glass bottle has been in the game for a long while now, like at least a few years. I saw them on community console servers and when spawned they do contain vodka. I believe early on it gave a slight warming effect but was removed but it still said vodka but acted like water or the beer. It could in this update actually give a slight warmth effect because of the alcohol but i guess we’ll see

This is true also people forget that Rabbits are just being added to the game after they were removed and reworked along with many other things in the game that we've gotten the last few years

Yup, the Vodka is better as a food source than for hydration as it currently is in the files though weirdly enough. Think soda stats on steroids.

Glad to see deadzone settings coming to console. I emailed the dayz team 2 months ago suggesting deadzone setting, so this makes me very happy
What are dead zones?

@@tehtapemonkey dead zones are a setting that allows the game engine to ignore the lowest input threshold or to set the threshold of what is considered a registered base input. The main reason it exists is for sensor calibration or to help solve stickdrick especially with potentiometer based console controllers.
This'll be just me, but planning a boat Vs car race around the coast on cherno like on top gear would be sick

Been a WOBO content consumer for a hot minute. Dawns on me every now and then, just how much time and effort goes into every single thing you create.
If a change or an update or anything dayz related is coming you are my favoured info source.
Heres my theory for the warhead.
Youll need to first, find the scientists briefcase.
Then, turn on the power in the bunker to a specific area (may also be a few locations in a particular order)
This will then allow you to access that big door in the sound files (possibly with a keycard like the livonia bunker)
You can then enter a launch room and launch the missile at a place of interest specified by research papers from the briefcase, which would also have launch keys (documents and fragile items)
i love this game so much. i have had the game almost since launch and i never get tired of it. i have never played another game like dayz and cant wait to see how crazy this game will get in the coming years
This is shaping to be an excellent looking DLC. Many of the PC players were pissed off about Livonia being made free, along with a paid version of all the things mods offered, but all of these additions and this new content and map are looking amazing.
"Land_WarheadStorage_Powerstation" has the exact same syntax used for building models. I think it's pretty obvious that this is the name of some upcoming building and not some kind of actual warhead (hopefully)
I think in all likelihood it's probably a module for the bunker that's designed to store warheads - probably empty or full of inert/deactivated warheads, or potentially a model for a warhead storage box, think the pox storage boxes in the livonia bunker, but most likely open and empty

@@greenglassrecycling Considering most updates after livonia have been minor, adding miniscule things, i think an update adding a map with a whole new system for looting and surviving is the best update since Livonia especially since theres so much more on top and not to mention this will certainly help bring back some players on console

@@berdyderg900 If, by that, you mean reintroducing removed items that the modders, themselves, copied then... yeah, sure. Ninety percent of what's being announced is just old assets being reintroduced or features from Namalsk (which is Adam's mod... you know... the lead developer of DayZ).

devs are late, redfalcon has gotten this exact method with boats down, and you can actually stand and shoot from them whilst riding... not to mention his helicopters.

Except they're still alowing peoole to do base raid glitches, the cars aren't even close to fixed, the game itself is too laggy in majority of servers, and they can't even fix basic bugs that they have created from all the previous updates. They need to do their job

I've always loved being an indigenous type of player. I live out of the woods. A snow map, accompanied by camos to fit the environment. I'm digging it.
Updated settings on console makes me happy, aiming kinda sucks right now

One thing I severely dislike is the Gorka being so low on insulation. I own a Gorka uniform and that thing is surprisingly weird honestly due to the fact that I never get super hot in even 90 degree weather but in 30 degree weather it REALLY helps against the cold.

My theory is that the briefcase has something to do with documents for the warhead teased. Whilst I bet it is unlikely we can fire it perhaps it can be detonated?

3.5k hrs on console, recently haven't touched Dayz just feels dry, been grinding Arma Reforger. But this looks like it's deffo gonna bring me back
I'm getting some ARMA III vibes about potentially having an All Black dingy.
Its going to be hell trying to get into that bunker especially if it already has the generator and lights laid out, people are going to be using it as a base in every server
I hope building is turned off by default for official like how they changed Livonia to no building
@conorhutchings4468 Oh I didn't even know you couldn't build in Livonia, I'm sure it'll be the same on the new map then, I was very underwhelmed with Livonias bunker though I only recently went inside of it after a few years of not spoiling myself and was extremely underwhelmed walking through there with a torch
They should add skis and snowboards for quick escapes down a mountain
even just langlauf skis would be amazing!
i asked them about dynamic weather patterns that move on stream a few months ago, they told me they had no intention of using that
Irl camo tip for sakhal: Mix snow camo pants and regular camo tops and carriers for the best effect. As snow always settles under trees and brush
