One of the reasons why our military in the US is so good is because we don't have national service. Our military is made up of trained professional soldiers who have chosen to be there.

This is what happens when those who think they are killers take on those who have been trained to do just that. Those gang members did not have a strategy to take down this group of Rangers. I am sure if the Rangers wanted to off any of them they would have rather easily. They knew the lay out of the property and all of the avenues of approach, had them all covered and they also had concealment inside of the house something the gang members did not have.

This is my family’s neighborhood for about 30 years. I know people from both sides. This story is bullshit. The cameras were a point of beef, but what started the fight was one of the Rangers at the bbq was leaving drunk and hit a crips car as he pulled out. The only casualty was a ford bronco shot up. The owner of said bronco ended up as my recruiter years later in 2002. The Sgt. didn’t change a damn thing. Hilltop remained a shithole until 2010 when the hilltop as a whole was hit with a massive RICO case. It went back to shit about 6 months later.

don't discount gangsters for training and combat proficiency. the % of US military members, currently active or retired, that are or were in gangs at a time when they could and did pass military training on to other members is staggering. it's quite common for younger gangsters facing serious charges to get the option of prison time or time in the military. a lot of them choose military, learn everything, get out and go right back to gang life. some gangsters just voluntarily join the military so they can bring that training back. it's a real problem.
