It’s design and purpose is for parents and family who want to know what is going to happen to their loved ones. It’s all sugarcoated time make them feel better. This is like reading off of the website and only going over the basic things that will happen.
This doesn’t prepare them for the “challenge” of cranking and real GQ. Getting the M9 ribbon doesn’t matter, they still have to requal when they do SRF-B.

Do they get up in your face yelling and swearing, or is it just very soft like a summer camp. I would rather have a tough boot camp with yelling than something that's easy. How hard is it exactly?
None of the videos really show how RDC's are. Yes they scream, alot, but they may loosen up towards the end. They want to break the people that can't handle stress. They'll make you do extensive workouts and see if you'll give up. Its hard in ways you don't expect, and ways that are hard to put into words. Once you get used to it you won't really see it as hard though.

Changed alot from when I was in Boot Camp- 2005, Ship 18, USS The Sullivans, Division 198. We would have eaten these new recruits alive. RDC's would beat us on a nightly basis just for GP.
David Lucas may other divisions were, but there was nothing soft about divisions 197/198 (integrated division- males from 197 and 198 slept in one compartment, then go through a set of doors, go down the hall, go through another set of doors, and there was another compartment that the females from 197 and 198 slept in), all our RDC's for both divisions had ESWS/EAWS/FMF, demanded nothing less than perfection on everything, even the slightest screw up got everyone in both divisions, and the butt chewings were not only marine corps style yelling, but were at least 4 RDCs on one recruit.
Lmfao I love that they make such a big deal about keeping Battlestations a secret but then they include it in videos like these. Makes no sense lmaoo.
