From someone who has met him a handful of times and knows his business operations very well, the man has a memory like no one else. Photographic on financial statements and doesn't forget people or prior situations. His management team (AMSI) are seasoned veterans and keep a close eye on the day to day operations out in the field. I am surprised that he agreed to answer any questions for Forbes but glad he did.
He obviously values his privacy above just about everything else. Why bother the man? Especially if he isn't doing anything illegal, scamming people etc.
I could never get behind these "started from nothing" stories. Most billionaires came from wealthy families. He didn't buy his 1st dealership (a multimillion dollar undertaking) working at McDonald's.
To me this is an example of a smart businessman, whether he is a billionaire or only a mulit millionare does not really matter. By flying below the radar these people can lead a relativly normal life while enjoying their wealth at the same time. There are quite a lot more out there like him.
Its like that here. Two families own just about all of the car dealers. One family were teachers doing a side hustle on summer break. The other was a radio station and advertising owner. Then got into cars.

I'm hoping to retire next year at 55. My goal next year is to be more serious and consistent with my investments I've been investing since I was 22. 2024 is going to be more serous for me investing consistently for the long term. starting to save for a house down payment. I want to invest more than $105k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk
Its unclear which stocks and sectors will lead the market in the next uptrend. It is advisable to diversify while retaining 70-80% in secure investments. looking at your budget, you should consider financial advisory.
Diversification is key. I've had success with a mix of growth stocks and dividend-paying stocks. Have you considered consulting a financial advisor to help guide your stock investment strategy?
I'm also looking to dip my toes into stock investing as well. Do you have any recommendations for a good financial advisor who specializes in stock market
I agree with you, but also this dude is old af so money went further. if his dad paid him a semi decent wage working in the dealership, especially as vice president, it's not too inconceivable
The father made him vice president at 23 what an unbelievable accomplishment. Who would have thought that his father would give such a high position to his own son.
I’m his brother in law my sister Cindy was married to him. He did not let her contact anyone in her family on my dad’s side. Never really got to know her. I just wish he would have been more willing to let her contact her family. I def could use the help
I stopped watching when he said "i wasn't given anything". Dude no doubt you built an empire , worked hard in what his father started, but you had a solid foundation & head start...😏
His empire is surely crumbling now and will fall completely in the near future ... EVs will force him to start dumping dealerships very soon. Now excuse me while I shed a tear.
He would be a no one had his father not already had the business. I have zero reapect for the kids of people who have busted their asses and then the kid comes in to eat the fruits.
I think forbes magazine wants people to think that have they've never heard of this man or others for that matter that are featured in forbes magazine before But a lot of people have heard of him i've never met the man personally but i've heard of him though different articles although (and i don't live anywhere near any of his car dealerships) the years, he's not a household name and i'm sure that's what he enjoys but nevertheless (NOT!) EVERYONE is ignorant forbes. sidenote: yea i've seen his GULFSTREAM G450 tail # N1TT down at my local airport once or twice.

Probably calculated that it was the best way to have them intrude in his privacy the least.

Facts unlike the scammers that Forbes always give publicity..
Dealership are scammers lol. I mean for idiots.
He owns a chain of car dealers, he is, in fact a scammer.
They're called 'stealerships' for a reason.
Every billionaire is Evil. There are no good ones.
Had the pleasure of meeting him. Very energetic and very nice. He's a bit older but has the energy of teen.
Isn't it better to be seldom seen but always heard?
Nothing wrong with it. There are Billionaires in food, tech, meds ... you name it. Thank God for them - they employ A LOT of folks.
What did "god" do?? 🤨🤔

So you are limited in your capacity to think.
Most billionaires are self made. Its not that tough to google.
Still it takes work to turn that into a billion
No most billionaires do not come from wealth. Most if not all tech, fashion and finance billionaires do not come from billionaire parents.
So if I gave you one dealership for free you’re telling me you would be a billionaire too? 😂
My boss is a billionaire. Grew up during the depression. Told me he never had money in his pockets or a full stomach until he was drafted.

Leave the man alone, and let him enjoy his life in privacy.
in case you're wondering why dealers won't give up their "doc fee"
He learned the lessons of KING CYRUS very well...many kingdoms under his rule, took the minimum from the kingdoms, and never had to defend the wealth.
I thought it was going to be Herb Chambers
That's how my old boss did operate his dealerships, and when he passed away he was a very wealthy man, very discrete as well with such high networth
Its like that here. Two families own just about all of the car dealers.
One family were teachers doing a side hustle on summer break.
The other was a radio station and advertising owner. Then got into cars.

AMSI dealerships are among the best operated in the business.
