Five foods to prevent heart attack: 1) beans 2) whole grains including quinoa 3) leafy green vegetables 4) berries 5) soy preferably in the forms of edamame, tofu, and tempeh. Got it. Thank you for another informative episode. Happy Holidays to you and yours! 😊

@@marilynroper5739 Lol Since when? Many have said differently especially when you consider the fact that animal fat is a natural source of trans fats and your typical farm raised meat is extremely high in fat making it unsafe and unhealthy to eat which is why it has been determined that WILD GAME meat is the best meat to eat for anyone who insists on eating meat as it is the only truly grass fed meat that is low in fat, sustainable and not a marketing ploy. Wild game meat is what many of our ancestors ate along with plant based wild edibles.

@@Amanda_downunderI focus on organic soy personally. I avoid soy in the form of protein isolates personally which is why I avoid many plant based alternatives that have it as an ingredient.

Here is how some slim and fit Chinese vegetarians get heart disease based on how people try to outsmart the DNA of a human diet which is fixed and exact and can not be altered by book salesman trying to fool the gullible. Slim and fit long term Chinese vegetarians taking no medications with a BMI of 22 ended up with vascular disease. 2005 article "Vascular Dysfunction in Chinese Vegetarians: An Apparent Paradox?"

Food alone is not enough. Other equally important things to do:
    1) Keep stress under control. Meditate. Breath well. Have friends. Have fun.
    2) Sleep well. 7 hours. Wake up by 6am.
    3) Exercise. Both cardio and strength. At least 3 hours per week.
    4) No alcohol. No smoking.
    5) Intermittent fasting. This helps a lot with insulin resistance.
Plant based, minimally processed, sugar-free diet helps.
If you want to slow down aging, increase fasting and increase exercise.

What about bone health? Too many people are not doing normal exercising, even walking, such as when they use scooters and other similar products where the legs are not moving. People, including children placed inside the back of shopping carts, are not exercising their bones, cartilage, etc. for health benefits. When those parts of the body are not exercised daily enough, they will become weaker. Add nothing in the diet for bone health and people will be in deep trouble in their 30s and 40s. I would love a doctor to talk about this to society, especially in relation to the growing bodies of children who need to move around, instead of sitting still in the back of a shopping cart for any length of time. Their body is growing every single minute of their young life.

I personally don't want a 2 year old running wild in a grocery store... The parent needs to shop for food without chasing after a small human, who will not become obese from spending some time contained in a grocery cart seat. Not everybody has the money or family to have the kid watched at home during such essential errands.

When I was a kid in the 1950s especially, harnesses were used a lot on little kids. It gave them a lot of freedom of movement but their parents didn't have to worry about them wandering off or running into the street. Little children can vanish so quickly because they are fast and unpredictable and so short.

The problem with these human "health" sites is that they NEVER take ethics into consideration no matter how heinous the fishing industry that massacres 2.7 TRILLION sea animals every year and destroying the ocean.

One aspect of democracy, is the freedom of choice, your right to choose.
Your freedom of choice, is based on, what you think is; right or wrong, and/or true or false
    Houston, there is a problem?
    Your “opinion” of what you “think” is;
right/wrong and/or true/false, is based on you knowledge.
Your knowledge, is based on the MEDIA.
The media is saturated with “expert” options; for and against, right and wrong, and true and false.
It is almost impossible to decipher, what is right or wrong and/or what is true or false.
That goes for everything in life.
