Amazing video Kenny! ReaSynth isn't as pretty as some other synths but it sure does sound really good when you add some modulation and effects. I appreciate you showing all of us how simple it is to do with your video.
Allright! This is so usefull. By copying a few synths down and using the filter U can really take it to new places. And in the LFO control, try changing the Sine wave to Square, it can get really mindblowing. You can take far out :-D
the way reaper handles midi reminds me of vcvrack a little bit where you have to program and connect all parameters manually, no quality of life. wish you added distortion after the filter envelopes though, that would blow anyone's mind on how drastically timbre would have changed where pre-filter lfo would set "shape" of post-distortion
Никогда бы не подумал что в Рипере можно нормально крутить звук этим синтом. Но оказывается можно. Хотя ясное дело, что удобные сайлендом или спаером. Кому какой нравится.
This video won't convert me to use ReaSynth, as there are plenty of excellent free synths that are a bit more user friendly (I like Charlatan, for a super simple synth, others like synth1), but it's certainly one of the best synth tutorials I've ever seen. The only way it could get better would have been to add a JS : scope meter to the video. I didn't know the technique of two detuned synths each one on each channel for an amazing sound.
amazing video! I do have one small question regarding my own setup. I only recently bought an akai mpk mini, using reaper and reasynth I am getting a slight static or popping noise whenever i let go of the white or black key. would you have any suggestions on how to get rid of this?
I'm trying to get Guitar Rig5 to record on Reaper. Everything is good except I can't get any play back. I can't get the output to connect. What do I do?
I passed over this one because it seemed so basic. As I get more into Reaper, I am going through all the plugins to see what they do. This is a great little synth!
From what I understand it wouldn't be all that difficult from a development standpoint to implement some pretty basic features into this (and other Reaper plugins) that are typically found in other plugins. The decision to not further develop some of these plugins seems kind of eccentric (if not just plain stubborn).
I wasn't interested in the Reasynth until you showed the parameter modulations and the envelope. Maybe I don't need Synth1. Everything I need is probably in the Reaper plugins! Also, is there a way to add an ADSR envelope modulation?
synth1 can do everything this does and much more, with less aliasing, but the merit of this video is to make you understand the power of a simple synth. You can totally do what you see here with synth1.
@@vivenzeo with that logic you can fart in mic and start composing from that sample.... p.s it's easy to do, but will take you 10x times longer to do so if you would've originally started on a strong feet. Good luck spending hours tweaking perfect sound when you could spend that time composing.
why does this dude try to talk like christopher walken. most disconcerting, had to turn it off in fact. Reasynht isn't very good any way, there are no presets available in reaper, just the one basic sound.
I really didn't know that Reaper was so resourceful. With this plugin, all we need to have is a piano.
I picked up an Akai usb midi keyboard for £17 on ebay.
Thanks! I only just got Reaper, I play bass but have never used a synth or a DAW before. This was a highly useful tutorial!
This video is really good, I'm surprised how much you can do with the built-in synth.
Wow! I had no idea. Kenny you are the best. Thanks.
When I first saw Reasynth, I was like "meh, standard oscillators", but that's pretty cool!! thank you Kenny :)

Sir 😁😁 what synth does fade into darkness used........
Chapeau Kenny ! great intro to this small but great gem that offers us Reaper.

Wow. Very eye opening. Never knew you could do this much stuff with it. Thanks! Great job.
Great the Substain Pedal works when recording not in playback
pretty cool tutorial, no need to buy expensive plugins to be creative.
SO TRUE !
What a great tool.
Never even considered using it this way before!
i had so much fun doing the stuff in this video
This plugin is dope for g-funk hip hop/rap synth licks
may i suggest the tal chorus, a free plugin modelled after the famous roland juno 60 chorus

Excellent tutorial.
Thanks for sharing.
It would be nice if in future versions of Reaper, ReaSynth would come with some presets like ReaXComp etc.
Thanks for this tutorial, you gave me a lot of inspiration to play with this plugin.

Hi, Kenny. Can you recommend a synth plugin that plays in 432hz? Or how to make reaper play any synth plugin play in 432hz?
thank uuuuuu
Great, thank you Kenny,
where can i find the midi keyboard, it's not showing up for me
Hey @REAPER Mania Helpful video, but how do I duplicate the synth plugin with the new reaper update???
Cheers

yo, i have this thing, when i use portamento and stop playback, it stills playing
Now I want to find out how to use it on vocals...

This guy makes cool tuts, really!
Engenious!
Thanks for the tutorial. It helped me a lot!
Great tutorial, thank you
I wish I could like this video 1000 times!
Synthesis is cool. thx for the video.
Cheers
Are there presets available?
Is there some way to change polyphony?

Cool virtual keyboard skin. Where it come from?
Cool, thank you
i mostly use it for bass.
ALSO HOW DID YOU JUST GET RID OF ALL THE PARAMETER MODULATION STRAIGHT AWAY
Ethan Thomas double click on the lever
also he use a key stroke to go back in history
Christopher Walken?
We need more cowbell
the low notes made me wont to puke lmao
Damn, son!
This one has tons of aliasing....

sythesis 101 without all the theory
i love u
Hope you've learned something. Are you kidding!!!!!!!!
all that shit you're doing with LFOs and stuff and CPU usage is still at 0.1%. i think i'll use reasynth from now on lol
where can you see the CPU usage?
@@rio4861 right below the tracks panel is like an info bar. right click on it, change to cpu/ram/last saved
As much as I appreciate the effort it still sounds like..... "not so much"
inarisound don't hate. You've probably already spent a tone of money in plugins and synthesizers, that explains your bitterness.
add some reverb and distortion, it gets more interesting, basically you build your own synth
negative little weaB
Or you just refuse to accept you can do much with a free synth coupled with skill, mr.presets guy.

Okay dude
presets are for kids. create your own sound dude.
