    Being truly present is the key. I'm no expert and really enjoy Tolle's talks. Like how he discusses the difference of pleasure to that of being truly present. When you're truly present you don't need an outside thing to give you pleasure. It is intrinsically coming from within. There in lies the difference.

    Consciousness free of thoughts.
    This is the next step of human consciousness.
    We have come to the end of thoughts.
    Garden of Eden is symbolic of the rise of thoughts.
    Eat from the tree of knowledge.
    Judgments.
    To be identified with thoughts is also to be governed by time, in past and future, in memory and anticipation.

    Wow that’s cool to hear
    I’ve been meditating for a few months and now at times I’m way “above” my thoughts and feelings
    They just flow through me and I observe them.
    It’s been somewhat unusual and a little uneasy and confusing, but extremely peaceful.
    I was wondering what it was about and this video explains it well for me.

    Pleasure arises from form.
    It exists in the realm of opposites. What gives you pleasure also gives you pain.
    Joy is an aspect of being.
    Joy is your true nature.
    Don't look for it because it's not a mind object
    Just don't incarnate into thoughts.

    Has the interactive bi - conditional contingencies in the mind's perception been endowed by fruition in substance? Children feel the greatest joy and pleasure from the simplest of things because their perception does not demand anything further. “ Maybe we’ve outgrown all the things that we once loved.” (Ref: Rise Against: Audience Of One)

    • @stephenflood3463
      @stephenflood3463 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with you. When we are children we are naturally infused with absolute joy and bewonderment of being alive on this Earth. But as we all grow older we become more and more aware of the dark nature of the world and also in ourselves then we soon lose the joy and bewonderment we once had when we were kids. And yet that is when our real spiritual awakenings begin where we rise above duality back to that place of light and joy.

    Nice portrait of the human condition by Mr. Tolle. Rather than the yin-Yang of thought-spirit he again deftly sketches the balance of the thoughtful mind with nature/spirit. Enjoyed his use of unconditioned natural (animal) forms to illustrate here, wherein instinct are the seeds of thought.

    Forms actually do not make you feel good or bad. They simply distract one from the heaviness of mind activity so the happiness that is our natural state shines through. Pain is not inevitable when the form is removed unless one has misidentified the source of the pleasure, which is usually the case.

  • @chiptowers1
    @chiptowers1 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Let me break this down as I see it.
    But what prompted " you, yourself" to, quote; " identify with a thought stream totally". Something within must have past information to the physical brain which the mind is only a faculty of.
    So from where within the human body could you a person send a message to the physical brain to tell the non physical mind to cultivate joy. After all, thought of something is produced by thinking or occurring suddenly in the mind which would mean something gave rise to thought either by you/one seeing something or you/one received information from the physical storage center within all humans.
    Thoughts are physical with spacial dimensions but they only have information passed on by neuronal activity, that is a neuronal cell ( a nerve cell) that transmits nerve impulses. So from where did a thought come from to be passed on via the neuron's because neuron's just wait and pass whatever signal can activate it. The neuron does not store information ie thought does not store information.
    There is no trap to be trapped in, because you/one wanders in or out of consciousness or unconditioned consciousness at your leisure. There is nothing spectacular about unconditioned consciousness or consciousness because your physical source within that formed the intelligent species is equipped for you already knowing that " I AM" as opposed to knowing "WHO I AM". Hello!
    The unconditioned consciousness is a sense of knowing that " I AM" apart from knowing " WHO I AM"; the consciousness of, being divorced from that which I am conscious of.
    Don't believe me, checkout Google for, what is " unconditional consciousness"
    Thats the major problem with teachers and Guru's, they don't have a clue how the physical source formed the intelligent species and therefore they cant recognise that only a physical source is PRESENCE and a non physical tool used by the physical source holds no information nor identity.
    No need to watch the video past the 5;19 mark, you would be doing your imprinted knowledge a disservice.
    Allow yourself to be enlightened by your physical source PRESENCE, that is real JOY for your PRESENCE.
    ( chuckle chuckle chuckle)
