Watch video but I will always buy xs there the best period in my opinion and something change with optima batteries awhile back and I warranty a red top 3 times in a year. Js
At 5:55 of your video, If you are doing that (using STD mode) to your Redtop then you are charging with the wrong charging algorithim. The RED Top is an AGM battery, so that may be why you are going trhough them every two years. Not an Optima fan anyway, I just caught it in your video. Anyhow nice upgrade with the XS power. Good luck with it. .
I thought you could’ve put AGM batteries underneath the hood of our older car unless the car came with the AMG battery BMW keep the batteries in the trunk. They got AMG batteries help me out. I’m looking to buy one if you can keep it underneath the hood and no problem.
@@CarshowRellStudios hey thank you for relying I was hesitant to buy Xs power battery XS I was told if you put it underneath the hood and it overcharges, the battery might be lumpy or swell that’s what I was told but if you have no issues, I guess I can buy one and put it underneath my car. I have a 2001 Nissan pathfinder. I’m gonna upgrade the alternator and the battery . For some reason shops like to charge over $400 for alternator for some reason and this alternately 280 A it’s not even 320 A and Time was charging me in New York. I found the local place next to me so I don’t have to go out or buy it online
@@American_Express_my_love_ yep paid like $500 for my hi output Alternator. Rare cars like mine and probably yours gonna cost more for a bigger alternator. So far it’s well worth it going from 70a to 280a. I am also running a 5,000 watt sound system. Much needed in my case.
@@CarshowRellStudios thank you bro. I’ll keep you updated when everything is done right now. My car is in the shop getting into an accident. Someone hit me. Thank you for helping me out with this information.
I had voltage issues due to my alternator on its way out before installing the XS Power battery. When I installed the XS Power Battery it was power hungry. My oem alternator however was only 70 amp couldn’t handle the XS power battery. Had to go back to the oem battery until my new high output alternator was installed. I’d say really depends on your alternator output but only one way to find out.
yeah .. after 2020 the yellowtop batts don't work as well as they use to. I usually upgrade all my cars to use AGM batteries but lately that brand has gone downhill.
Should not be any liquid coming out of the red top battery.... they are a dry coil assembly/AGM.....you got water in the battery case probably pressure washing the engine bay and pushed it in the vents near the terminals...I had my red top 15 years and only got a new one because of the years it has been used...... now I use it as a test battery
I have a 15 year old red top too../.. but i hate to tell ya.. Optima was sold and Johnson control absolutely f"d off the product and its junk now. Your new optima is junk

BINGO 🎯
I had a yellow top back in the day and that thing lasted about 8 years, I get a more modern one and it crapped out in 2
Yep new ones are trash
Hey nice video what kinda of battery charger is that??

I have no issues, car starts immediately with no hesitation even after sitting for a week due to the battery and alternator upgrade.

@@CarshowRellStudios but the alternator is like the hardest thing for me because they don’t have anything for my old truck

I’ve did some research and looks like the company has changed ownership somewhere down the line. I’m guessing that’s attributed to the downhill 😔
Have u tried autotech engineering for an alternator
I haven't and thanks for the tip. I will reach out to them.
All I run is autotech I have dual alt set up always been good to me

Why add a stock radio and then have to use more space to add the aftermarket, when the aftermarket already has designated space? Just for the look?
Yessir, just for the oem look.

Red tops are 💩💨 they don’t hold good charge.
