What I find amazing, is months later after finishing my walk starting ftom La Puy, 3 months of walking, is every day you think if it. Moments come back to you when you sit quietly it creeps into your thoughts, it s magical.
I am planning to do the Camino in May 2025 after my daughter finishes school and I cant wait. 29 months to go!!! Watching your journey has been a big driver for me. Instead of feeling its something that I cant do I now see myself giving it a go. And also doing it as a sole female traveler (will be 57 by then) :-) I am now living and breathing the Camino and feel such excitement. I'm breaking in my first pair of hiking boots and as you so wisely said "The Camino journey begins when you first make the decision to do it." Thank you for being so open and vulnerable in your vlogs gorgeous. We don't actually have one sole purpose in life. We have many missions as we move along our timeline of life and whether you know it or not yours has been the "Teacher" and the educator for the rest of us. Bless

Fantastic series. I did the Camino Francis in September and felt exactly the way you described. I cried for so many reasons at the end and like you, I feel it has changed me forever. Before the journey I doubted myself but know I feel that there’s nothing I cannot do. Your videos are fantastic and brought me right back. Thank for for this beautiful video. I walked the Camino in 2019 and cried so much. On the penultimate day, I was incredibly conflicted about my Camino coming to an end. I was excited about reaching what had become the mythical cathedral but I also knew that I wasn't ready for my journey to end. 4 years later I ache to recapture the joy of this achievement. Crystal, I celebrate your accomplishment! You walked it with a welcoming and fun approach just as we shud welcome life. Those emotions you attained are the same when, one walks with the Good Lord. If u don't mind some advice, try substituting the Words Lord, or Holy Spirit for camino or spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that called St James( Santiago) on this walk to the distant Hispania. Therefore, it is the Holy Spirit that Called you as well. I don't think you know it yet, but your simplicity towards this journey has made you Catholic. Keep up with those churches in Scotland.. luv you sister. 💓

Great intro. Brought me back to when I completed my CF in September 2021. Overwhelmed by what I had done, surprised by what I had seen and who I had met, and unsure of what I would do next. I cried, laughed, sighed, and smiled. Then there were the bagpipes.....
I'm a bit late to the show but over the last few days binged your Camino walk. Loved it. What an experience. I've only done 3 Scottish distance walks but definitely want to do more as such a different experience than day walks. The way you film & share your thoughts is so lovely, thank you.
I think i watched this part about 5 times and every time i'm crying as much as you do 🙂 I'm walking the way next spring, starting in my hometown Ostend, Belgium...i will be walking about 2300km to get to Santiago and i will continue to Muxia and Finisterre. I think I've never heard of a person that's needed more time than you to walk the Camino Francés. However, I believe you've also had the chance to enjoy it at a slower pace which really makes it more special. Buen camino!

I walked 4 weeks ago just the last 114km with many health issues. The rmotion just overcomes you when you reach the cathedral. Than the next at pilgrimsmass. As i am original from poland but live over 35 in Germany. I was surprised to hear a polish priest at the church. The also got to me a bit. And i am not even really religiouse. I enjoyed your videos as well before my walk.

As a woman who longs to walk the camino most probably solo, your videos have only reconfirmed how much I'd want to walk the way. I reckon you just integrated your 5D crystalline self fully into the here and now and left the old 3D version behind. Congratulations on your achievement Crystal. I hope that one day you will have the opportunity to have a kitty in your life but until then you might like to follow along on Dean and his cat Nala's journey as they travel the world by push bike and combi van. They live in Scotland but they are travelling through Germany now.

Well put. I feel the same, with almost exactly the same descriptors about my Camino. My feet were an 18-blister wreck. I even came apart unexpectedly at Mt. Gozo as well. My emotions caught me totally off-gard. I arrived July 27, 2022. From friendship to a swift kick in the ass (humility), the Camino gave me exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. Ultreia et Suseia!
Another great segment of your journey. I’m sad that this was the last of the Camino journey for you but also for those of us following. I’m walking the last part this April and found myself saying “ I’ll be there! And I’ll be there” as I saw your footage. Thank you for being an inspiration❤
Should you be thinking of doing a shortish Camino I would recommend starting in a picturesque town called Villafranca del Bierzo. That way you would get the more unspoilt pre-Sarria stages followed by the noisy and boisterous final stages from Sarria to Santiago. I, personally, love both. The stunning mountainous scenery prior to Sarria and the joyous celebration that awaits from Sarria onwards.

Congratulations! What a journey! I have longed to do the Camino for years, but due to children, work and then physical issues, have not been able to. Now, after a recent back surgery and upcoming hip replacement I still hold the hope that it might still be possible. 🥰
We started the Camino on the same day in May (I was there when the ambulance helicopter was on the mountain on the way to Orisson). I met some of the same people on The Way (the earlier episodes, as I walked a bit faster than you and finished at the end of June). It’s been a pleasure watching your journey, which brought back many memories. I cannot believe it’s been over six months now! I feel your emotions and reflections upon completing the pilgrimage resonate with mine. 👍

I am so happy for you. Your Camino isn't over, it is now a part of you and everything you learned about yourself and the world. The Camino helps all of us to become more of who we "really are" and then we go home and try to explain it to others. An impossible task but still we try. Congratulations! I really enjoyed watching your experience. Brought back so many memories of when I walked on my own in 2016. I had a similar experience I found my true self. Congratulations Crystal! I've been following your journey the past couple of months and re-living my 2 Caminos through your videos - 1st with my wife in 2019 and my solo walk in June of 2022. I appreciate your honest and real assessment of the walk - both the good and the not so good. After giving it some thought, I've summarized my lessons from the Camino that I've shared with others. God bless you and your journey through life and Buen Camino! Check Your Expectations The destination will be different than you imagined. Pay attention to the journey Be Grateful Gratitude is the beginning of Hope and Hope leads to Joy Don’t Pack Heavy Only bring what you really need. Lighten your load by helping others Plan Carefully But control is an illusion. Your Camino will happen as it should Heed the Signs They’re not always obvious but be patient, your Way will be revealed Walk Your Camino Others may be faster, but you’ll still end up at the same destination The Camino Doesn’t End Because it’s a metaphor for life - and trust me, you’ll want to go back!

I walked 4 weeks ago just the last 114km with many health issues. The rmotion just overcomes you when you reach the cathedral. Than the next at pilgrimsmass. As i am original from poland but live over 35 in Germany. I was surprised to hear a polish priest at the church. The also got to me a bit. And i am not even really religiouse. I enjoyed your videos as well before my walk.

I hope that one day you will have the opportunity to have a kitty in your life but until then you might like to follow along on Dean and his cat Nala's journey as they travel the world by push bike and combi van. They live in Scotland but they are travelling through Germany now.

Well put. I feel the same, with almost exactly the same descriptors about my Camino. My feet were an 18-blister wreck. I even came apart unexpectedly at Mt. Gozo as well. My emotions caught me totally off-gard. I arrived July 27, 2022. From friendship to a swift kick in the ass (humility), the Camino gave me exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. Ultreia et Suseia!

Should you be thinking of doing a shortish Camino I would recommend starting in a picturesque town called Villafranca del Bierzo. That way you would get the more unspoilt pre-Sarria stages followed by the noisy and boisterous final stages from Sarria to Santiago. I, personally, love both. The stunning mountainous scenery prior to Sarria and the joyous celebration that awaits from Sarria onwards.

We started the Camino on the same day in May (I was there when the ambulance helicopter was on the mountain on the way to Orisson). I met some of the same people on The Way (the earlier episodes, as I walked a bit faster than you and finished at the end of June). It’s been a pleasure watching your journey, which brought back many memories. I cannot believe it’s been over six months now! I feel your emotions and reflections upon completing the pilgrimage resonate with mine. 👍

I am so happy for you. Your Camino isn't over, it is now a part of you and everything you learned about yourself and the world. The Camino helps all of us to become more of who we "really are" and then we go home and try to explain it to others. An impossible task but still we try. Congratulations! I really enjoyed watching your experience. Brought back so many memories of when I walked on my own in 2016. I had a similar experience I found my true self. A lot of work is to be done when you go back home and the camino will continue to be your strength to get you through life especially the tough times knowing what you achieved on your own.

Congratulations Crystal! I've been following your journey the past couple of months and re-living my 2 Caminos through your videos - 1st with my wife in 2019 and my solo walk in June of 2022. I appreciate your honest and real assessment of the walk - both the good and the not so good. After giving it some thought, I've summarized my lessons from the Camino that I've shared with others.
