Tax is from the devil. Looking at Gross vs NET pay is so depressing 😢
I know hey😊😊
And it all goes to the politicians who will blow it with blue lights vehicles and BMW's ya neh.
From 92500-52300. But R13k was his choice
I love your content Boni. Thank you so much
You are welcome, but the third payslip , 15k, is the deductions, not net.
Thank you for the work you do
Thank you
It's be nice to know which companies. Understandably, I know why they wouldn't want to share that but there is a lot of discrepancy between what companies pay. It's be interesting to see the same job but different employers

Hii Bonnie! Can we get a corporate finance manager next time. Their job description, qualification and of course salary!🥰🥰
I haven't received one yet.
2000 Actuaries?? yoh. this field is under saturated and obviously tough
I love the way you say “chest pains”. Please do it more 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I've been exhausted lately but I do use it in all my videos actually.🤣
🤣😂🤣
tax is CRUEL!! 😰
oh my word😭 I'm about to do first year of Actuarial Science... hao jesu
I must move🗿
Why move? This is a good qualification.
@@liferesetwithboni I mean 'move out of South Africa', I saw one comment about the increase in the standard of living and pay once someone leaves South Africa
Lol the last 2 are abnormal, don't worry. You can look at the stats released by assa to get a sense of how much you'll earn. Don't be fooled by outliers.
Honestly, i don't even believe the last one. Theres something wrong there. Theres key information missing. Im guessing its a quant position that does not reward passing exams or theyre simply lying about their number of exams and experience.
Plz do statician & economist.
No wonder people are leaving SA . I mean lets start taking inflation into account. R50 000 nett 20 years ago was a powerful salary. Wow this is shocking
Leaving SA to where? Where is it better?
@@liferesetwithboni 3 family members , one based in Australia civil engineering 3 times the salary he was earning in SA, other two members are in the middle east (Abhu Dabi) with their entire family's relocated and earning way more. SA is a beautiful place to live in honestly but come now lets be realistic its a struggle financially.
@@liferesetwithboni I appreciate your channel so much. It will help graduates and young professionals alot. Even the veteran corporate professionals can use this platform to understand what their "market" related packages should be.
I wish I could know the name of the company of the 1st analyst 😂.
After 2 years, I need to join their company because R46k with only 5 exemptions and 6 months experience (basically a graduate) is really good in this field 🔥.
Things are tough ne? 😪 not what we think?
Hi guys!
Last payslip error:
Gross is R49k and the Deductions are R15k . That will give you the net. Sorry the payslip didn't show the net. We have to calculate.
Please like and share the video and let me know what you think of these salaries! ❤
So 34k????????
@wendykgosi149 Wendy you are so invested in this 🤣🤣🤣yes doll, 34k !
@@liferesetwithboni hahahahaha haibo 😳😳😳😳for an actuary???? This is beyond shocking . I’m invested cause I’ll like to know the truth cause I nearly pursued it. No ways.
I always think it is best try by all means to get into a career that has opportunities of being your own boss. It’s ok to start as an employee but at some point you need to be able to sell your skills for a higher price without anyone putting a price on your forehead.
there are 15 exam if you study with ASSA which is the south African board. but most people are familiar with the UK board IFoA which got 13 exams
Okay thanks
ASSA has 13 exams to qualify including the Modelling Exam.
Chest pains or not - an employer will always only pay you so much to keep you working, whilst you help them generate many multiples of what they are paying you.
Yeah, that's how it works 😊
Lol they will hate you for telling the truth
The way people over hype this career as if it pays millions 😅
It's not about money
@@liferesetwithboni you can't pay bills with passion
@@williamdimphomonama7478basic bills wont make you broke...living above your means is the problem...regardless of your income and relationship status with the bank.
You can pay bills with passion@@williamdimphomonama7478
Actuaries have the most stable careers in SA. The insurer I worked at paid interns 40k & they don't have to work 12hrs/6days a week
All in all is the hard work and struggle worth it boni and viewers?(for the money they earn)
It's not that bad!
Can we have a Plant Manager salary and Supply Chain Manager/Director
I can do the supply chain manager not plant manager for now.
Net pay of the last payslip sounds incorrect...Gross vs Net?
48 _ 15k will give you the net pay. Sorry. 15k is the deduction.
Sorry and thanks for reminding me to write it on the pinned comment.
The pay is not worth the sweat, ncono I sweat for Accounting or IT. Even medicine, though they are struggling to get jobs, they get paid more hai ngeke
Lol on Medicine
Compare actuary vs doctor pay relative to years post-matric. This actuary is probably earning well over 100k at new company (10yrs post-matric). A doctor would need to work overtime to earn what an actuary earns 10yrs post matric (medical officer 1). Sad reality of RSA
And some actuaries obtain fellowship a lot sooner, within the first few years of working
Medicine? Aowa those ones are overworked and underpaid, maybe Accounting or IT 😩
It’s 15 exams for FASSA(fellow actuary)
Do you wrote all of themafter obtaining the qualifications? And how long do they take?
It depends on how many you take per session or something, but let them answer you
Okay, where did the 22 come from?
@@tiyanimashimbye9386you can finish varsity with 9 of them min, it depends on the uni you attend.
@@tiyanimashimbye9386Each person’s qualifying journey is different. It really depends how you do at each exam. Some qualifying in 3 years when passing all exams at first attempt. Some 5/6 years and others even 7+ years.
Working for company there's no security when there's misunderstanding they can fire you hence most of people who are making money are not happy they are the ones who are experiencing chest pains I feel sorry for females who making a lot of money because they don't know where spend money after houses and cars even in relationships they are not content
Why are you bothered?
@@liferesetwithboni because we're transforming the economy
Yoh R52k!!! Ya shame only chest pains😭
🥰
Have you done salaries for Procurement Officers ?
I've done supply chain and logistics.. there is a video on it.
Uct
Only one, some were not from UCT. 😄
That Actuary works at Deloitte 👀
🙏
Only chest pains 😂😭
Yebo😂
There are 13 exams
Not 22?😂
@@liferesetwithboni yeah
Please do SAICA trainee
Okay
Depends whether it's with the big 4/medium/small firm but big 4 starting salary with cta is R18k/20k and after you pass both board exams and in your final year, it's roughly R35k/38k. Your salary increases several times over your 3 year contract.
Is it chest pains🙈🙈
Too much
🥴not me expecting to see something above around 100 Tao something
Check latest video.
What if we teach our people to own their own businesses not to flex their pay checks working for company has no security
What if we let people do what they want to do with their education and salaries?
@@liferesetwithboni but still repeating the same generational curses of working for capitalists and imperialists
@@liferesetwithboni are you proud of the curse
@itumelengmosailane1192 Teach them in your own platform. The good thing is we know what we are all doing here, and we don't need to justify it to you or explain ourselves to your condensending tone. We are good, don't worry about us.
Create a platform if you don't have it already where you will teach people about business, etc. we don't teach here.
Stay blessed 🙌
Itumeleng. Please tell us what it is that you do for a living? And also emphasise how it has been working for you.
Mining Engineer?
Not yet!
Shocking!!!how do you go from 92k to 50k? Lol not worth it . And tax still . Ai naw hahaha
Lol
@@liferesetwithboniI am correct in saying the 50k still needs to be taxed???
@@wendykgosi149 no you are incorrect
@@liferesetwithboni then where are the calculations for tax
92k was the gross, 52k was the nett after all deductions including tax
