Well Shot short film. It's a good thing they are raising awareness for Veterans suicide, it is a problem that needs to be addressed. Props to whoever made the film.
I get it. He's not actually a prisoner of war. Well he is. But in an emotional sense. The ied blast he feels was his fault. That's making him a prisoner in his own mind.
Excellent Work by the Team at Funker530 & Special Guests. Thank you for putting this together, it was a well thought out piece of work. Will be sure to share. Best regards to all.

+FUNKER530 - Veteran Community & Combat Footage Guys can you give me names of shops with military uniforms, i mean American,Great Britain, Canadian, SWAT uniforms please (Sorry for my english)
+FUNKER530 - Veteran Community & Combat Footage please tell them that what they do is important and milloins of people appreciate it. and thank you u fo bringing awesome footage of infantry ground fights and assults
I would like to thank all Vet's past and present of their service. My dad is gone but he gave his all for our country for 11 years of his life. Just like most vets he didn't want any praise for it.
Fergesslich If you are saying my dad was not honorable then you are full of shit and have no clue what life is about. I really dont get what you meant by that so why dont you explain. My dad was in the war he did not die in the war he died in 2013 at the age of 90....he was a hero.....unlike what most people think heroes are today.
The truth hurts, he didn't attack you or your father in anyway. His view is his and your is your own. If he can't speak then why can you share yours as well? War isn't nice, but war heroes deserve all the honor and glory they deserve.
+like2thc a lot of those deaths have nothing to do with war or military. There's a standard rate for almost any class or field. More veterans die because of war, but not all veterans die because of PTSD or war. Some would have died regardless of whether they served or not.
if You Don't Like Peace You Will Learn it The Hard Way The Soviet Union Fell For Not Believing in God And U.S is Next if You Want War You Will Always Get War I Seen None Human Call Extraterrestrial Earth is Just One Rock in The Galaxy, Universe Etc. Understand?
This needs to be shared as much as possible, a lot of civilians do not understand the sacrifices, physical and mental tolls taken on a veteran who has seen combat. This video is somewhat of a window we can look through and see what challenges they face and it gives a pretty good glimpse that only they know and feel. Thank you to those who have fought! And for those who have passed, lest we forget!
To everyone out there who served thank you so much it means everything to my family and myself. I love being free thank so you much for everything you guys an gals have done. I wish i could do something more then just type these words on my computer. God Bless all of you everyone.
right in the feels. Many thanks to Funker and the makers of this movie for having the intestinal fortitude to talk about this topic in such a way. happy birthday USMC
Brutal , Every veteran even if they aren't a combat vet needs to see this short film. Even if you didn't serve in a combat role chances are you have friends and family that did . Get off your ass and get in the game, lets help out our fellow vets and get that number as low as we can. Listen to them, get them help, always pick up that phone when they call. Dinner can wait, your buddies can't wait
Shit got real when you realized he was the prisoner of himself, but it is most definitely true. Our minds our ourselves and if we live in a prison of bad thoughts, in a cell of regret and a life sentence issued by shame...we to can go through the same fate..
Everything I've wanted to say just doesn't seem to do this short film and it's message justice.... Thanks for putting this together guys. And THANK YOU to all military members, past and present. Happy Veteran's Day from an extremely thankful American.
My battle buddy killed himself 2 months ago. I spoke to him 12 hours before he did it, we were going to have lunch on SUN, he killed himself a midnight SAT. I saw no signs, no symptoms, no cries for help. I miss him with all my heart, I am mad he did this and heartbroken at the same time, we could have worked this out together. The church was full at his memorial, he had no idea how many people loved him.
I am not a vetran....i watch these videos to try and understand what is really happening with our guys over seas. I thought the video was really great, well thought out, because it made me partially understand what going thru that would be like. THANK YOU.
Absolute wonderful work. I'm Italian and not even in the army. But I can assure since the beginning I understood it was all about PTSD. This means the message was perfectly put into the short. Cheers, bravi!
I lost my grandfather who was in the army from this when I was still young and I just wonder how different it would be if he were still here. I wish we knew how bad he was doing so we could get him help. Please get someone help if they have any form of depression or PTSD after serving you never know how bad it may be
Thank you Veteran's God Bless you All. Thank you Funker530 and to all that put this together it is an eye opener. My prayers will be for them that gave and gave all.
I've never been in the military so I won't pretend to understand what you guys have to live with. This is depressing. I somehow see this as the reality that many of our service members live every day. Much respect to all of our service members.
Outstanding film and this actually hits pretty close to home for me. My sister's ex-huspand was a Marine and got ptsd while over there. After a few tough years of jail, no job, lost wife, and no where to go he shot himself at his parents house. Its sad how so many people fail to realize how horrible ptsd can is on your mind. People just think that since its a mental problem it can be easily fixed or prevented when in reality a victim needs every source of help they can get. Hope this gets around to people.
Josh Kelly best suits the role of this film considering he has served in the US Army in the past. He has the vast experience and knowledge on how it feels to be in such a desperate position. The message is so deep and thought provoking so as to elicit our undying support to the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us to have freedom and peace. #joshkelly #veterans #usmilitary
compelling ... those statistics are jaw dropping, thank you all for your service, please reach out of you have an issue to anybody. we should take care of those at home whom we sent to war.
At first sight, I didn't want to continue to watch. I am not a Veteran. Nor was ever in the Service, no matter. This short film makes me.... we'll for the lack of better word's. I'm Glad I changed my decision. now I can help others and I have. thanks again for reminding me how strong you have to be. I always wanted to be a Marine. but life changed. Eathere way I respect all Military Personal. We'll done. Thx again.
Really emotional video on some of the things we as Americans over look. We need to find a solution and give back to our veterans and not treat them like dirt. God bless all Veterans that have served in the armed forces.
That was one of the biggest explosions I have ever seen from an IED..... It looked like the whole world shook when that thing detonated. Love all of our Military Personnel, and will be forever indebted to, and grateful for, every last one of you!!!!!
Just seeing this made me cry for our troops ,fathers ,brothers, sisters in arms ..please reach out your only human and we all should know that god bless our Vets and those who suffer from these tragedys
Thank You and God Bless you all that have suffered in the name of Our Freedom. You are not "Weak" for being Human. You are Loved. You are Important to us and we want all of you around.
Prayers for all those that have served.Suffering from so much pain, locked down in your memories. You are respected and loved. I wish you peace, love and hope. God bless America. You are NOT weak. Please do not harm yourself.
To all my brothers in arms that feel like they have to suffer in silence, please understand you are not alone in this fight. We are all here for each other and will stand strong to help overcome this constant struggle. Nobody ever won a war all by themselves, so please reach out to any source available to get better.-signed Jordan Aldridge A co 2/3 INF JBLM
An extremely accurate portrayal. Well done, and thank you guys for sharing this. So many vets and current serving can relate to this.. Prisoner of war.
He is a Prisoner of War, in his own mind. The past haunting his decision. Reflecting upon how little he feels of himself and the horrors he has witnessed. He is, in fact. A prisoner, of War. In his own mind. He is a prisoner of guilt, regret, and feels he is to blame.
amazing video man, stuff like this always hits home and being a vet myself I want to help my brothers and sisters in arms former, or present in any way that I can
True story perfectly depicting the internal conflict some if not all veterans face on a daily basis..... well done folks I just hope someone will reach out.
Veterans have been through hell and might still be in it, just to save us. Now let's save them from hell and make them feel like the loved people they are... They need it Be there for your vets! because they have been there for us....
R.E.D Never forget ANY of our service members and all the sacrifices they themselves and their families experience and have given, for all of us to enjoy what we have and what we do. 🇺🇸
It’s really sad to know most of our veterans when they get home feel lost, alone, and guilty.... we’re prisoners of our own mind it’s the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice and never made it back that are truly at peace. If you have a friend or family member that is a veteran let them know there not alone. And there are things out there to make life worth living. I’ve had a gun to my head multiple times but now am in a space were I appreciate life and most of the people in it. Love you all thank you for your service. Till Valhalla 🍻🇺🇸
If you're wondering, they don't post on this channel anymore because they now have their own website. If you follow them on fb and go to their website, they're still active. Like this so others can see.
It amazes me, how much pride america and americans take in regards to their Armed Forces and veterants. In my country they're treated as filth and looked down upon, for doing something so great. Serving their nation and fighting for peace in this world. The world would be a better place, if we'd appreciate everybody's life and fight fight for theirs and ours.
for everyone totally missing the point here, or are commenting literally before the video's over, this video is all about the ramifications of PTSD, and how the war never ends for so many people back home. They're tortured every day for decisions they had to make in a moment's notice.
im just going in and im looking forward to lead my own platoon one day but i don't think i could bare the fact the soldier under my command died i would hold it over my head forever
Only a choice few will comprehend what is really being protrayed in this short movie before it gets to the end. I can only offer hope to those who are punishing themselves in this way, know that you are loved by many who appreciate your sacrifice, and understand that the best training in the world can never prepare a person for the hell of war. Don't pay the price that our Lord and Savior has already paid for our mistakes, I promise you all that He can heal the broken heart, and sooth the wounded soul. God Bless our wounded warriors, I am personally grateful for your sacrifices, each and everyone, and reach out with everything I have to wish you a Merry Christmas. Words are not enough, but I say them anyway the best way I know how. Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for protecting Liberty despite many who fail to see what liberty truly is. God Bless.....
Well Shot short film. It's a good thing they are raising awareness for Veterans suicide, it is a problem that needs to be addressed. Props to whoever made the film.
You can take the veteran out of the war, but you can't take the war out of the veteran.
Deep shit
👌👌👌👌legit phrase
Very true
rejoice veterans , fighting has just begun soon you gonna return , don't cry don't suicide do pushup take captagon and say goodbye to family
Hello I’m from the year 2019 with a lot of bull shit and this is true
I get it. He's not actually a prisoner of war. Well he is. But in an emotional sense. The ied blast he feels was his fault. That's making him a prisoner in his own mind.
Yes that is the essence....
+IH8BOYBANDS_ For so many, the war never ended! It continues, every day!
+IH8BOYBANDS_ Then the metaphors of him feeling beaten up by what he did and drowning in his guilt.
+Tilley LePew Theres a reason why Plato said that only the dead will see the end of war.
I know right, he feels so guilty for what he did. he constantly beats himself up over and drowns in his own sorrow.

As a combat veteran I thank you for posting this film it really hit home with me.
People are generally too dense to understand this.
Veterans as well as others suffering from PTSD and anxiety knows what this is about.
Fantastic Film! Amazing Message!

Thank you for your service all active duty and retired military members in all branches Happy Veterans Day!
I love everyone of you. It brightens my soul knowing there are strong men out there fighting for a just cause amoung brothers.
Love this clip and and the message it sends. but not the message this labeling channel tries to infer.
Why would someone dislike this video like wtf
+TheKid Cooney People who does not like the war in middle east ?
dumbasses that know nothing about what goes on in a vets head
+Nate Nelson Why are they dumbasses? How could they know?
Tilley LePew they shouldnt, but they should definitely know what ptsd can do to people
+Tilley LePew They'd know if they actually watched the video. Don't try to defend the people who disliked.
Best short film I've seen. I hope you guys get awards for this work

Very powerful and evocative video. With the state of mind I woke up to, I am now in tears.

Is the interrogator the same actor as the prisoner? Having a hard time picture the difference....
Brilliant
This is a great video. Not all stories have happy endings
Veterans have been through hell and might still be in it, just to save us.
