Jordan here! Gargoyles don’t even need to hit to scoot so forgive me haha they’re even better than it thought!
Listen to the man folks, whenever I play Jordan idc what else he brings I simply ask “are there 30 gargoyles???”
😂 😂
Thank you so much for making consistent 10th edition tyranid guides that are actually helpful! Cheers bro
Absolutely! It is my pleasure!
Ive got 4 armies so i watch alottttt of youtube videos about army turorials and breakdowns. Yours is without a doubt the best out there. Always a super insightful and a pleasure to watch your content
Thank you! That means a lot!
I've gotta admit you've done a fantastic job breaking down a lot of stuff in 40K. It gives me an idea of what to look for not just with the bugs but also what to be wary of with a lot of other lists.
Thanks so much for the kind words! It’s been a lot of fun breaking down some 40K content.
Love the videos, really helpful for starting the game. I was wondering if you could cover zoanthroaps eventually, I hear a lot about them
Absolutely! That’s a great idea. I love Zoanthropes.
These videos help me as a beginner so much! Keep them up, and cheers, dude 🙂
Glad to be of help! Thanks for watching!
Thank you 👍
This video will be very useful to me, I added a gargoyle unit to my invasion fleet list
Amazing! Love to hear it!
Another great overview. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!
Gargoyles only need to shoot to do their move and not hit (per the wording on the ability). I learned that recently :)
You’re right! Can’t believe I was cheating myself.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic, I'm using two unit of 10 tonight, 1st time, so I only need one of them in range to shoot something
would you ever do an abridged video of a battlereport, something shorter form so that its easier to digest, where you provide overdubbed commentary on your decisions? Think that would be really cool, but understandably a lot of editing :) thanks for the video this is all really useful stuff!!
That’s a really cool idea! I’ll give it a try.
It's time to introduce the other grants too 😊
They might be on the way 👀
Most excellent video and informative as always on the hive mind's various key units!! 🦟
Any chance you might make a video on the slithering boys...the Raveners and the Mawloc and Trygon? 🐍
Absolutely could do that! Thanks for the support!
@@WednesdayNightWarhammer; Absolutely my friend, as one fellow hive fleet to another, the more biomass accumulated, the better. 🤘
I think you probably should have mentioned the drawback to the "Dog Bone" formation. That is that as soon as a single model is killed from the unit, it is no longer in coherency and will have to remove models down to 6 at the end of the turn.
Yeah you’re right. However I feel that most of the time if someone is targeting my gargoyles they are probably going to kill at least four by the end of the turn so it often doesn’t matter too much.
Good thought though, and thanks for watching!
I kept looking at this fact. Glad to know it does change at the 6 models remaining unit size
@WednesdayNightWarhammer could you make a video about how the Nuerotyrant gives the Zoanthropes the Monster keyword?
Could be a good idea for a short or something!
Excellent content as always, Jordan! I just didn't understand the advantage of the Gargoyles' wings since the measurements are made based on the model's base. Can you explain?
They just make it a tad bit more annoying haha thanks for watching!
@@WednesdayNightWarhammer Oh I see, I loved it!
@WednesdayNightWarhammer would you ever run a 20 man unit?
If I was running endless dwarf before the nerf, maybe. Probably just 10 now though tbh.
Well I need to order some now because I don't have any yet 😅
Yeah they’re pretty close to a must have.
Thanks for watching!
I have 30 that I've never used in 8th and 9th because I didn't see their use. Going to try this now for sure.
I have a question about coherency. If my opponent shoots at my gargoyles and kills a model then I will no longer be in coherency right?
Correct. The reason I still recommend doing the dog bone trick is if your opponent is shooting at your gargs or attacking them they are probably going to kill at least 4 making coherency not too much of an issue.
Good question, and thanks for watching!
@ then my next question is if my opponent does kill a single model does that mean I’ve actually lost 7 models up until the last 3 models on one side of the bone? Or do I have a chance to get them back into coherency at the end or beginning of my opponent or my turn?
@ no, you would just pull models until the unit is left with 6. So just 3 more models. It makes the strategy not perfect but again I don’t think I’ve ever only lost one gargoyle haha
@@WednesdayNightWarhammerok I understand now because the rules for units of 1-6 models are different from units of 7+ models the moment there is only 6 models left they can be stringed along only 2 inches away from a single other model instead of needing coherency with two other models. Thank you!
Gargoyles and biovores win more games without killing anything than our monster bugs do killing swathes of enemies
Absolutely correct!
@@WednesdayNightWarhammera question I have about Gargoyles: is there ever a time to have them lead by a winged Tyranid Prime? I'm tempted to attach one to one of my gargoyle flocks in invasion fleet when I choose lethals against monsters and vehicles so they can have lethals AND sustained hits. Also wondering if using that one bigger extra body helps reinforce the dogbone strategy or even make the dogbone wider( like you have the prime in front center with three gargoyles on either side of him with four Gargoyles behind in a smaller line behind the front)
I understand that they can do a lot of things, but i just can´t get over the dated model design, so unfortunately not an option for me. I was thinking about adding 3 Leapers in my list to maybe moveblock something importent like a Landraider with goodies inside.
Also, on their datasheet it says they don´t even have to hit anything in order to move 6, they just simple do after 1 fired. Pretty crazy how much safe movement they got. Please GW, reeeeesculp them!
I get that honestly. Maybe get some 3d prints? Also I was wrong about needing to hit to scoot. I commented about it and pinned it. Can’t believe I was handicapping myself haha
Thanks for watching though, and the continued support!
@@WednesdayNightWarhammer Haven´t found cool ones yet.
Always something to learn in this game. :)
Thanks for the content that gives me something to support.
These are great, but i prefere these: - points at hormagaunts -
Hormagaunts are really strong as well!
MSU=multiple small units
I always heard it as “minimum sized unit”. But that also works!
Thanks for watching!
