i feel like the flying mount is still faster travel times in general simply because you not only fly in straight lines from a to b, but you also don’t go over terrain. the ground has lots of hills and dips which creates longer lines in travel paths.
For sure, I did mention that if there's an obstacle on the way it's always better to use a flying mount and I do consider the terrain layout as an obstacle if it's uneven. For example it would be better to use this tip in Nagrand which is mainly flat instead of Hellfire Peninsula which has a lot of hills and dips.

wouldn’t the cheapest/most efficient way to abuse the mount changes be to purchase the vanilla classic riding skill for 18g, then waiting until tbc classic to buy the 95g mount? total of 113g much cheaper than the other totals on screen...
That would only work for normal mounts, since epic mounts don't have a skill right now. After prepatch, you just automatically get epic riding IF you have an epic mount in your bags / bank, and the epic mount costs 900 gold right now. So it's not really gonna be that impactful since it's unlikely you have a lot of characters in the level 40 range who haven't bought the skill yet or haven't gotten their mount right when they bought the skill.
Speaking of epic mounts: Is it confirmed that the riding skill will only be 600g/570g? I read somewhere that it was 900g (or similar) on tbc start und was lowered in some patch.
@@rockingDuck I believe they said most things like that will be working in the 2.4.3 manner, only gear will be progressive (for instance obviously sunwell badge gear would not be available on launch). No, because the skill you buy right now it's the regular one. You only get the epic mount skill automatically if you have an epic mount on your bag already and for warlocks/paladins if you know the skill to summon the epic mount.

Dude, these tips were fire! Thanks for helping out a noob like me! I had been trying to figure out more stuff on the mount situation so this was perfect!
The runs in normal dungeons at low level is win-lose situation. On the one side, mby is better to avoid the competition with both allies and enemyes due to the small areas in burning crusade and like you said to get reputation but on the other side in order to do heroics and make the big step in raids you will need gear, and this gear you will get from the top end normal dungeons in shh, sv, sl and tk dungeons. I give you my unlucky exemple i had to run with my protection paladin 17 times in sv normal to get the prebis cloak i was lkie 16/21k reverded with cenarion.. So my point is either way you are leveling you still have to run top end dungeons a couple of times to get your prebis gear..
You mentioned being able to use the other faction's mounts, but what do you think if we buy the riding skill on a character that doesn't have an epic mount...will I be able to ride an epic mount for the cheaper pre-patch price? I'll probably try it either way because it's like 20g.
If you buy Horse Riding for example, after prepatch drops it will be converted to Apprentice riding, which is the 60% mount skill. The only way to automatically get Journeyman Riding , which is the 100% mount skill is to have an Epic mount in your bags or bank. @Alex Dorobant Yes if you have a R11 mount now you will be able to use it in TBC and a bonus on top of that is that you will be given the Journeyman riding skill (100% ground mounts) for free.
@@NumidiaWoW Thanks, thats nice. I already have a 100% mount, just wanted different ones :) But didn't want to spend that much time and gold to get exalted reputations.
900g for another faction mount seems cool however your not really saving much since it's only around 1k g to buy enough runecloth and raise your rep from honored to exalted. Granted you would have to spend a lot of time buying regular rate stacks of runecloth to avoid price gouging and it might take time to acquire that many stacks.
Indeed, if you can source the runecloth for a cheap enough price it's fine, it's good to have this tip as a failsafe or for lazy people like me that can't be bothered.
it's 800g if r3 and honored, you'll need insane amount rune cloth, not to mention its a hassle and you only get 50rep per stack at 60, you'll need 420 stacks to hit from revered to exalted, and that's only if you bothered to farm quests all the way to revered, now these stacks are on basically 3g, that's 420x3 = 1260g. Yikes.
Bro im pretty sure they're scrapping old school arena teams in tbc classic and just having the system like what they have on retail. I remember that from the interviews but I could be wrong as I can't find anyone who's put info out about it haha
BioSparks did a great video explaining everything they said about the way arena will work in Classic TBC, here it is : th-cam.com/video/iaNjuQeHV38/w-d-xo.html So TLDR they are keeping arena teams, they will have personnel rating on top of team ratings (Like it was very late in TBC), and they are thinking about moving from an ELO system to an MMR system. So yeah since they are keeping teams the way they were but they may be moving to an MMR system, this trick of deleting your arena team should theoretically still work then, obviously we need to try it first to be completely sure. Also love you charlie
Tip number 5 about disbanding arena teams to reset the rating is ridiculous. All the top grinders get to plov through the casual players every week, its not challenging for the grinders and its casual pvp'ers have no chance. And before you say "its the best way to grind" just remember that all the over grinders will be doing the same, so it makes no difference for you
I just noticed I was referring to "races" as "factions" in that last tip. I meant to say that with this tip, you can get another race's mount (From your faction) without needing to be exalted , not that you can (or should) get a mount from another FACTION (Horde/Alliance). Even if the latter scenario is somehow possible I feel like it could definitely be considered an exploit so don't do it.
I just woke up and had a revelation, no the mount trick will not work across faction as the mounts have race checks on them, example : classic.wowhead.com/item=13331 , so even if you trade them on the neutral AH that wouldn't work :p

@@evereststrength That riding skill gets converted. I literally did this on live years ago. My current warrior has epic skill trained but no mount. I'll let you know when prepatch drops.
@@TheNebulose we are talking about what happens when we phase from Vanilla to Burning Crusade, what I said is what happens. Might have changed on Retail but if we follow pre-patch after 1.9 this should be the road we follow
Yes that is what we are talking about. What I said has, previously when prepatch for tbc went live in OG WoW, happened.
What you said happened when?
what if you just get the riding skill for 100 gold now and buy 100%mount for 100 gold when tbc drops... dont have to be a genius to know this
There is no epic riding skill to buy during classic vanilla. The video is correct
About the epic Mount from another race of your faction: Can’t you just simply buy it after prepatch drops? Why buy the Mount now?
i think you'll still need the exalted reputation to actually buy the mount (not to ride it) in TBC. Thats why you want someone to buy it and trade it to you now whilst its still BoE.You wont be able to ride it now because it still requires Tiger Riding (for example) but that will be removed.
@@TheFhab That makes sense. So if I get the rank 11 mounts now i will be able to ride them in TBC prepatch/TBC live, right?
Yikes.
thanks
this helped me
Bro im pretty sure they're scrapping old school arena teams in tbc classic and just having the system like what they have on retail. I remember that from the interviews but I could be wrong as I can't find anyone who's put info out about it haha
BioSparks did a great video explaining everything they said about the way arena will work in Classic TBC, here it is : th-cam.com/video/iaNjuQeHV38/w-d-xo.html
So TLDR they are keeping arena teams, they will have personnel rating on top of team ratings (Like it was very late in TBC), and they are thinking about moving from an ELO system to an MMR system.
And before you say "its the best way to grind" just remember that all the over grinders will be doing the same, so it makes no difference for you
really hope Pallies and locks don't get screwed over when TBC launches... seeming as our mounts are spells :'(
That's a good point, I'm not completely sure actually.
Those mounts wont require the epic riding skill so I really doubt they will give it when the pre patch hits.
atleast on private servers there were no pvp in caverns of time, since the guards were imba, and would just imidiately kill anyone who tried to gank
Well tbh everyone gets a SL key at the end of a SH so it's not much of a hassle and everyone will be farming it later on, btw arca as well lol.
Wait a minute. There is no way the mount thing works across faction.
I just woke up and had a revelation, no the mount trick will not work across faction as the mounts have race checks on them, example : classic.wowhead.com/item=13331 , so even if you trade them on the neutral AH that wouldn't work :p
that´s wrong? trick 1 is not working on dire maul north?!
How is it not working ? Pull the ogres outside and die near the door then come back as a ghost and get through the door and resurrect. I tested it as I was writing the script :p
@@NumidiaWoW no. getting through the door (without having a key) as ghost does not work for me (just like it is intended)^^ i am on a european (german) server... maybe there is a difference?
For the mount buy skill know and mount later it will cost you almost nothing..
Unfortunately that would only work for the 60% mounts as there's no "epic" mount skill in the game right now.
Hey, the trick for the mount work with the boost 58? Thx
how about you buy the skill... then buy the mount after prepatch.
Doesn't work unfortunately, the skill that's available now will be converted to the base 60% mount skill in TBC. There's no "epic mount" skill available to buy now.
Staysafe was here
Dad ?
Extra tip if your real cheap and want to get epic mount on a alt just buy epic riding skill now and wait till pre patch and buy the cheap mount after saving you even more
Unfortunately this only works for the 60% mount skill, there's no "epic" mount skill in the game now and the skill that exists now will be converted to Apprentice Riding which is the 60% mount skill.
40g per week is cheaper than my world buffs...
10k gold as starter pack for tbc
When did mmos make the shift to saving time? We are literally playing it to waste time to begin with lol
When we all grew up and had to pay our own bills
Already made all the mistakes😂😂😂 on privatd server..not a minute too early
That's why I'm here :p
Tip number one: Buy a boosted level 58 character...
Oh yeah... Thanks for ruining it all Blizzard.
Best tipp eu get 0-10 and get arena gear😂😂😂😂
but MY WBUFFS
To skip dungeon gates ? Yeah rip :p
Insane
Number one tip to save some time: DONT PLAY THIS GAME!
You start on 0 in a new arena team 😜 Glad they fixed it so pvers dont get that much of arena gear 🤣
Tip 1: don't install the Game
I have better time-saving protocol, do not play wow, i´ve saved thousand of hours since i stopped
You missed buying an account. That way you don't even need to play the game.
Botting
right, because we all know that the one thing we don't have in wow is time to kill! yes, I remember, I had barely time to see the whole content, before the next phase in classic. uh-huh... need to save time! gosh! if only I could become a raid logger even faster and spend less time ingame...
Then don't watch the video mate :p
@@NumidiaWoW right, because you should only listen, talk and watch if you agree. like you'd curate your feeds. like.... sheep
Well tip number 1 is stupid, most leveling guides atm are showing you how to have 4/5 keys by level 70 as well as almost having kara attune complete.......
Not really stupid. Keys only require revered and many people will be going for exalted for recipes and epics
