I started WoW in 2007, and I'll never forget the first time I saw someone on a Netherwing drake. That single thing got me into WoW, and I stuck with the game until 2021. I'll never have that moment again, sadly.

Ahh, the good not-so-old-anymore days! I gotta say I kind of dig the way attunements work in TBC. It feels like many the raids are already there for you to unlock and look forward to, as opposed to just having to wait for blizzard to release them, which was satisfying! But getting to revered with a bunch of reps can be a grindy I suppose!
Btw the Blacksmithing weapons were really sick to start off with, and were pretty terrifying in Arenas! And later on in the expansion, I mainly made my Gold through flask crafting as an Elixir Master!

Alchemy is by far the best money making profession because all the high level raids require elixirs and you can SELL them as opposed to other weapons and gear that actually require the maxed proffession to use. I think this is where Blizz screwed up because it made some professions more lucrative than others, specifically Alchemy and Jewel Crafting which sole items that didnt require (mostly) the maxed profession.
They should have made all items tradable from any profession so that you could make a decent living no matter what prof you picked instead of just picking one that gives you x or y end game item and is not much more useful after that...
But i guess they had to introduce a lot of farming mechanics in the game to keep people hooked until the next expansion, and boy did they do that well in TBC.
I for one, smelled this tactic early on and, as a person who really does not enjoy farming in games, i picked 2 gathering professions, sold everything on the AH and made a ton of gold that way, then i just bought the gear i wanted, got some nice weapons from the arena system and the rest from rep gear and raids.
Since Karazan was my fav raid i did that many times and geared up quite nicely, so i didnt feel like i needed to grind a prof to 350 to get one or two items out of it. But hey, that was my choice and i had fun doing it. Also it was fun logging in, going to your mail box and finding 50-100 gold from sales waiting for you there. :D

I tried to play Classic BC, but with the boosts in place and character transfers from Vanilla with Overpowered gear breazing through content with an already saturated auction house due to this just makes me not want to play. It's no different than a private server at this point.
Classic wow is the only one still worth playing. on the newest server that is.

@@mochabearry I agree with this, i could go spellcleave dungeons and be 70 in no time yet i took my time did all questing and about to hit 70 today with no pressure or problems being a bit later than others.. I'm even thinking about leveling another one now just cause i like it.
Making the Riding Crop cost 420g 69s was a nice touch :)
The Burning Crusade was a real pain in the ass back in the day, when I simply couldn't find the right people in order to complete the reputation required for the numerous factions for the heroic dungeons. I remember it all too well when I was struggling for months, venturing through Outland without a guild, until the day I met some AWESOME PEOPLE who took me in and allowed me to express myself freely and they were continuasly (correct spelling?) asking for my oppinion when it comes to strategies on how to avoid unnecessary damage etc.
Anyway, I spent some time with these people (about 8 - 10 Weeks) "touring" the heroic dungeons, honing my sklills and adapting to the requirements of all the dungeons. Then all of a sudden, after defeating Kargath Bladefist on heroic, they decided to invite me into their guild and my life changed for the better. Turned out that these people were all either my age or older and they told me that the purpose of that guild was to be made out of people who NEVER let their humanity in the bedroom... so to speak.
My first raid in Karazhan turned out to be one of the most pleasant experiences I ever had at the time. The Raid Leader took his time to explain to me the ins and outs of the respective Boss we were facing. I followed his instructions and we all made it through without casualties. Then they helped me with the attunements in order to enter SSC and Tempest Keep, Battle of Moung Hyjal and Black Temple. Slowly but surely we cleared one raid after another and there was no Drama because of Loot etc. As for me, I would remain in the guild until the day it disbanded, due to the fact that many people simply didn't have the time anymore. Some of them got married, while some others decided it was enough and decided to move on.

If you are a decent person and you help out people with dungeons and advice, you will find a guild sooner or later. Sometimes meeting some random good players in a dung and complementing them will do it. The point is not to be shy and just talk to people in chat about anything.

Just started playing classic a few months ago and am about to hit 60. Idk if im just dumb or what but I feel pretty overwhelmed about the stuff I need to do in TBC (mostly because I have shit gear). Videos like these really help me at least set goals to work towards. thanks dude!

I like how BC added some endgame grind but didn't go overboard like retail is. You could still have alts and play with them.

Resilience is not wasted in PvE. For tanks it does count toward crit immunity and can really help.
Specifically the PvP shield has a TON Of stamina, and will last you through Kara, and is by far the BiS pre-raid tanking sheild.

I still remember back in TBC i afforded epic flying by crafting riding crops and leg enhancements with leatherworking and selling those drops for the scryers and the other rep, took sometime though ah good old times

I think the Netherwing dailies were my favourite dailies of any I have done in any expansion in the game.

For RPers out there, hitting exalted with Netherwing unlocks a small quest and a cutscene with Illidan's image. I think it's the only time you actually see Illidan before Black Temple. Bringing the player together with the main villain so rarely (once lol) was something Blizzard wanted to rectify in WotLK which is why you meet Arthas or his image so many times throughout questing. I think they overdid it with Arthas.

I think their best bet would be to, after they do Wrath of the Lich King Classic, branch out. Make an alternate reality with different set of expansions, keeping the old "mechanics", talent systems, professions importance, and so long. I personally enjoyed Cataclysm but this was when those changes in the formula began.

since tbc came out ive been leveling 3 of my boostie's proffessions from 1 - 300 to this day lol
I think didn't got the fast flying mount up until Cata, on TBC just bought the 60% speed and the cold weather flying on WOTLK. Was always to broke to buy the fast one.

My favorite expansion of them all even though I played a druid and was horrible at it.
TBC: Raids are locked behind long chain quests (attunement)
Shadowlands: every part of the game is locked behind chain quests

hey, i have a question. If me and my frnds start BC right now, can we still play through the events of classic wow. or is those story and events inaccesible. we are not that concerned about the endgame, just want a fun game to play
Yes absolutely, you may not be able to do some of the level 60 end game raids (which have parts of the lore of course) but through questing and dungeons you will experience almost all of that
The world events like Gates of Ahn'Qiraj and Scourge Invasion are over and won't return, but other than that, it's not much different compared to vanilla. The only differences are that quests give more xp and rep, many mobs lost their elite status so they became more soloable, and some of the level brackets require significantly less xp.

The questing and professions will be much easier as you won't have to share the zones with as large a player pool, but it will be harder to find people for dungeons but there are definitely people doing the same thing as you though

a minor correction, you can do EOTS before level 70. I'm 66 right now and can queue up so i'm guessing it has a 60-69 bracket? Definitely something pre 70 anyway. Not that many people are playing it at that level.
Flying makes you less gankable.... Yeah i play on Skeram, and seeing an Ally is like seeing a fucking unicorn , i dont think i need to worry about getting ganked.
So... (1) Get the Flying mount ASAP (2) Get professions maxed
Or avoid BC for a month. Let those trying to complete the game first... complete the game first. And stay in Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy the game. Pick some plagueblooms. Wander over the BC when mats are cheap, subscriptions are spent. And enjoy the game.
Some people enjoy the game by doing exactly what Madseason said to do. They love rushing to endgame, they love getting the fastest flying and best gear. The journey and slow leveling isn’t their favorite part - Everything else after is. I don’t feel that way but I won’t knock them for enjoying how they play.

Guna preface my next statement by saying TBC is my second favorite iteration of WoW, first being WotLK
TBC content dies out pretty quick, especially with how slow blizzard rolls out new content. It's not a bad idea to skip, or come back during later phases. For the first 2-3 phases there really isn't much to do.
