Enjoyed the videos. I would suggest that you place your net next to your console with the handle pointed toward you every time. By doing this you don't have to step down in the bottom of the boat to get the net, which stepping down causes you to lose just enough slack in your line so the fish can get off. I loss some nice fish doing the same thing so I feel the pain. Good fishing.

Well not much handles Gaston in summer well other than a yacht!! Haha but seriously I love the boat. It handles waves and rough water well. Mine has a 45 inch Fortrex on it but it will occasionally come out the water if I really big wake boat wave comes. But I am very happy with it
what was you rod and reel setup ? do you fish a high speed reel and strong rod like 7'3 heavy ? it seems like those hooksets should of stayed in more. good video man and congrats !
I use to use a 7ft 3in MH with a deep parabolic action but I broke it a while back. I'm getting a new one built just like that one but this tourny I was throwing it on a 7ft Medium Vendetta with a 6:4.1 Gen 1 Revo and 50lb power pro braid. For open water FROGGING I prefer a softer rod so I walk it better and dont RIP it out their mouths. In the heavy stuff I use a Falcon 7ft 3in Heavy/Mod

Haha I know it. Those first fish starting hitting it funny. Just lipping it kinda but then they started eating it right. That big one had the frog completely gone but they just dont stay buttoned sometimes unfortunately!! Hurt my feelings haha. It all worked out in the end tho

Not this year but this club is a Federation affiliate starting 2021. I will probably fish some bigger tournaments this coming year. I fished federation stuff years ago but havnt recently
@@GunnFishTV i did the braid thing too. Hook up ratio was the same but landed more fish on fluorocarbon. Not sure if it’s the stretch that helps. I throw both. Braid around vegetation but, open banks fluorocarbon for sure. It would be a cool test.
It's hard to tell on video but the first several fish that bit the frog weren't really eating it. They were just starting to get on that bite and they were blowing it and pushing it. I had several more that I didnt show on the video that pulled it under by the legs and spit it out. Once they dialed in I started catching them. Thats what those fish do there when they are just starting to get on a certain bite. I adjust my hookset according to where I'm at. These river fish will spit it in a hurry if you wait to set the hook. You notice all the ones I caught had it deep.
You got to stick to fishing. You got problems with your poker face. I was wondering what kind of weights came in behind you? Guessing this wasn’t on that you won by one oz.

when you set the hook on the frog wait a second and you will get more... i have the same problem and i notice when i wait a half second i get more

You are horsing them way to hard take it a little easier and you will get more in the boat just take your time
