I’ve been playing and watching ArmA for the past five years and this is the first time I’ve ever heard someone complain about having “only” around 40 frames.
i mean since the game is out since 2013, back in that time there wasn't even a pc that could give more than that on max settings, i mean this game renders shit from 2 km if not more

@@zacokickI have a pretty top of the line rig and I get the same performance. It’s great during the day, but anything at night (with lots of point light sources) gets sloth-like performance due to the engine’s inability to handle lots of shadows.

I tell ya buddy that Girls' Frontline model mod saved my ass on my school project about making a product that we sell. I said that I'll sell these advanced robots to the military and with some info from the GFL wiki and recording some "combat footage" using helmet cams I was able to pass it with flying colors.

I don't understand why people often take a stance of "this is shit because it's different/my immersion/it looks weird/4chan dislikes it/Han shot first". Seeing someone new playing the game and spending a long time learning the editor to make a single mission, as someone who has been playing ArmA 3 since around 2013, I just sit here thinking "Oh thank the divine he didn't have to experience the original 2D editor." And don't worry, I've been playing that long and STILL don't know how to do much in the editor. I just cheat and use Eden Enhanced for a lot of stuff.
Its nice seeing someone new and seeing the experience, mine was mostly para trooper invasions of Stratus. Which to be fair, I was literally a kid, I wasn't even in middle school yet, couldn't expect me to figure out much.

Big ask, can you run Arma 3 on Linux(Pop OS) and let me know if performance is way better? I run a 1070 and on Windows it sucks but on Linux it's fine.
Somebody should make a Thomas the train mod but instead of it being normal Thomas its that cursed robotic one with the mechanical spider legs and flamethrower on top that it uses to torch your enemies. (It can even have a laser under it's belly.)

I think i just remade a loadout with a different kit, not sure exactly what caused it but creating a different setup was what fixed it for me
