Thank you for your story. I was sent to military academy in 1957 and was very careful of my conduct. There were several students that I could 'service' but over all it was a terrible experience for my high school years. Have had no contact with any one from those days. Am now 82 and still resent my father for dumping me even though he's been dead for over 50 years. The 50's were a tough time to come out.
Luckily David was strong and was able to handle the situation, but sadly that wasn't always the case for many others. As a gay man I never thought about this growing up. It's one thing to be gay and another when you're not the "standard" straight acting man. That's a whole different layer. By the way, I saw your profile and listening to your music right now. I'd like to get in touch with you. I'll try your website.
well, when you are never gonna fit in, and you know it, you may as well own it and live it. I'm so glad David made it out on the other side though...bullying can and usually does have severe consequences
Actually he did have a number of experiences and it was part of a story. Unfortunately it was all scattered info and not enough useable footage that I could edit it into a story for this purpose.

Would've loved to document some of your stories. If you ever traveled to Los Angeles, please let me know.
How unchristian: knowing you were bullied and doing nothing.

There's no hate like Christian love.
Charming as always. ❤

You were a cute kid. Did you ever have any boyfriends in military school?
