Best UI is very very much subjective on that one of my friend. It's good for EQ and limiting and stuff but the fact that they use that interface for everything is kind of annoying and I hate their synthesizer. In the ways of user interface I actually really really appreciate what minimal audio has been doing they are modern and I'm taking into account all the good interfaces that companies have made and kind of amalgamated them into one
@@nolanroberts2710 I actually agree on that - let´s say, best UI for engineering plugins & FX :D I really don´t like the synth much but the UI works so well for EQ, Comp, Multiband, etc.
FabFilter and Dan Worrall never cease to amaze me. New features and tutorials I could never have dreamed of. The Auto Gate and Ducking function are a game changer on their own, let alone the new presets and new added options. Thank you for creating the best plugins on the market!
Or look at it another way: all this 'innovation and detail'... just to fake a room. You can imagine how "the game" has changed, but in fact the job never changes - not since the lowliest spring.
When he mentioned enhanced multichannel support I started cheering. When he discussed importing IRs, I went wild with excitement. By the time he was midway through talking about modulation types, I had already upgraded. 😂
Holy SHIT - this is amazing. So not only do you load the IR's but Pro R 2 interpretates it too! The problem with IR's is that they feel static and not three dimensional like algorithmic reverbs, but they tend to sound better. So if we can effectively use this feature to 're-create' our favourite impulse responses, then this is a MASSIVE game changer. Defo upgrading. Pro R was awesome, but feel like v2 solves all of the problems I had with it!
Just tested the IR import with some IRs I have captured for nice sounding studio rooms - wood, stone, controlled, etc - and I was impressed, and loved that I could tweak things to get the perfect sound for a mix.
This update combines all the excessive plugins you often use to process reverbs, amazing! Gate, side-chain compression, EQ pre and post, chorus and precision control of all of these.
I’m having a shit day, so I tuned in here to try and learn something to give myself a small win. Hearing your soothing voice with all these amazing lush sounds really helped! I’m quite grateful for your tutorials, and that I have this amazing plugin 🙌 Bravo Fabfilter and Dan!
Absolutely gorgeous my guy. I usually have to watch these at least twice. Once to just learn and enjoy, and the next to try to imagine your process in seamlessly tying together the script with the (usually) uninterrupted musical flow AND all the screen caps. Any way you slice it, it takes real skill. Thanks for putting in the rehearsals, because every show is fabulous
No other company offers your a free short 'lecture' explaining and demo'ing their new than FabFilter & Dan. Well done again and long may you continue. Con Amor. Paz.
Dan delivers again answering what you were looking for. In a style. I was waiting for this update indeed, looking around for other reverbs too often. Thanks FabFilter for advancements and Dan for inspiring soundtrack to it!
Thank you for creating fantastic tools! Pro-R has always been one of my main go to reverbs. The new features are incredible... supporting you by upgrading immediately!
Just got the FX bundle and watched your introductions for each plugin, the greatest immediate benefit to me that I noticed is how easy they all are to understand once you get a grasp of one of them. Awesome stuff
double treat! A new plugin, but I'm just as happy to hear Dan's voice and quality delivery of this awesome technology. Thanks Fabfilter, Thanks Dan! Now where is my credit card?
Fantastic update! I started noodlng around with it today on a choral project that I am in the middle of mixing. 100% worth the upgrade. Fantastic work, FabFilter!
Yep! PRO-R2 is now officially the best reverb plugin in my arsenal. And Ive got a lot of reverb plugins😋 The Moog SubSequent 37 with PRO-R2 is a dream come true!
Loving it so far! Feels like the CPU load is much lower than with Pro-R 1, which became fairly noticeable with 10+ instances running. Was really a shame as I absolutely loved how much control v1 had. Has me really excited to test v2 out more! Also, I bought the total bundle about a month ago, and was given a free upgrade to Pro-R 2 due to a grace period. The people at Fab Filter are just great!
@@TheirIAre My short answer is yes! The long one is yes, but it kinda depends. It depends on the reverb style you use. The other parameters (including the EQ) don't affect performance enough for me to notice. The modern style seems to be the most intensive (a little more so than v1 actually), but the vintage&plate are totally reasonable. Pro-R 2 has tipped the scales for me overall! I can dial in an exact 'verb incredibly quickly, without my DAW becoming unusable with a dozen+ instances running. Plus - the decay time EQ opens the door to sooo many unique and personalized sounds that I can't get any other way.
Dan, i love your delivery, its a pleasure to listen to you. With such experience and knowledge to hand, i feel safe and supported to have purchased the latest total bundle for live 12 ❤️👍
I've tried it now. In my humble opinion, CHARACTER and THICKNESS are a wonderful idea but they both should be way more intense, more interesting, more pleasantly "destructive" & more powerful with their full range dialed in. They are a bit too subtle. Everything else is PERFECT. It'd be the BEST All-in-one reverb plugin on the market for years to come if those knobs could only make much more justice to their names. I LOVE YOU FAB FILTER. Thank you for reading this.
Finally, a video introduction to the new wonderful plugin has been released! Thank you for working and making high-quality videos on reviews of your cool plugins! In fact, plugins from FabFilter have become the most used ones for me!
Plugs like these are why I'll pretty much always like algo reverbs over convo reverbs. The only main exception is guitar cab IR's. The character, thick and various types of verb are already quite flexible. Adding decay rate per band and being able to adjust pan for each is absolute genius. I love that choir space and the modulated saw in plate mode. Such a rich, lush sound!
Springbox IRs also are an exception. While Pro R 2 can replicate the Reverb tail very well, it simply cannot replicate the springy sounds from the box. Pro R 2 works best with IRs that come from units that it has modeled. Like if you have a vintage reverb console, Plate, or Room IR and want to replicate that. More basic reverbs like Springbox simply won't produce the results you might be looking for.
R1 is my go to reverb. The UI is so easy and quick to use. And to me really long reverb tend to sound metallic and unpleasant, but with r1 I find it easy to make it pleasant.
I'm not planning to buy Pro-R2, I'm here just for Dan's voice... Edit: ok, after watching, I want to actually buy it as well... :D good job FF and Dan!
Stellar stuff as always from both Dan "Attenborough of sound design" Worral and Fabilter ❤🔥 The ReaVerb surprise was definitely a surprise but also cool and reaffirming to me personally as a Reaper user. I noticed Dan uses Reaper in previous tutorials some years ago as well, and this solidified my choice of DAW as a rookie when being overwhelmed by the plethora of options for music software out there these days. Fabfilter makes creating sounds a much more fun and enjoyable experience.
I buy FabFilter plug-ins for two reasons: 1) The are high quality and intuitive, and 2) Dan’s tutorials and demos. Im not sure which may carry more weight in my purchases…
FabFilter not only has the Best UI in the market to their astonishing plugins - they also have the best tutorials for it. Great Job, Dan!
if I see a new Fabfilter plugin with Dan doing a video on it, its as good as bought before pressing play lol

By a landslide!!

When making a tutorial becomes an art form. Bravo Dan!
it really gives me goosebumps and i know they want to have their customers right there, it's amazing!
YEAH! we know how much we wait for his tutorials
It gives me David Attenborough, Animal Documentary vibes lol

Dan is back. Awesome!!
“Hello, and welcome” always gets me
this is EXACTLY how a reverb should function!
My goodness.. this is really gamechanging.
Well done Fabfilter!!!
I feel like my production game improves every time I watch a DW video. The godfather of audio tutorials.
Wow! My go-to reverb of choice pushing ahead. Sounds beautiful!
Why are you guys so good at doing tutorials?
I'd pay for a production course by the guy on this video.
Big ups Mr. Fabfilter
This is him and he has his own channel @DanWorrall
The way you talk with the background music on, I feel I am watching a documentary with an exciting scene. Great video and tutorial, thank you!
We all just went to Fablfilter church and had a religious experience once again with Dan at the pulpit.
😭🙏
SIMPING is Pathetic
Thanks FabFiler, for the plugin, sure, but also for getting Dan Worrall!
Dan's voice alone makes me want this plugin, I swear.
Dan Worrall just inspires creativity. I bought Pro-R 2 right after watching this.
Wow! So impressive. Guys, you raised the bar again! Dan did again an amazing job, too. What a great tutorial!
Cheers,
Oli / Sounds of Revolution
Dan Worrall is the god of plugin demo-tutorials. Makes me want to buy them just to play with them.
Never get bored watching Fabfilter's Introduction done by Dan Worrall, when you get excited about new VST and pure knowledge at the same time
I hear Dans voice and immediately hit 'Like'
cuz I know it's gonna be good.
UVI Falcon 3 last week, FabFilter Pro-R 2 today, we are living in an amazing (and expensive) time. Excellent tutorial, Dan, thank you!
Cubase 13 today too
Loved hearing Dan's voice... upgraded before the video ended

Hi Dan! Glad to hear your voice, take care!
Thanks to both FabFilter and Dan. I've just bought the upgrade from Pro-R 1
best writing for a reverb demo I’ve seen
I just get that email ... and Dan the man has already done out his official FabFilter review. Perfect!
We are spoilt and fortunate to have such an outstanding delight of a reverb plugin available. Another great demo by Mr Worrall the maestro!

Pretty sure this is the best intro/demo video for any product by any company. Well done!
"Did someone tell you never to add reverb to the bass?" - behold, suddenly the bass breathes on the trail. Very good, Dan!
I come to Fabfilter YT channel not not to educate myself on their fab plugins, but also to just listen to best pretension videos - it calms me down.
Great to hear Dan again.
Your music's amazing and your tutorials are an inspiring art form of themselves.
My favourite reverb plugin finally getting the update it deserves. Take my money!
Great video, thanks for sharing!

I love Dan's video. thank you Sir
I was just starting to pine for those dulcet Worrall tones and those wonky Worrall tunes. What a treat. The new plugin is nice, too.
The IR waveform transforming to EQ and delay curves is a strong sci-fi delight
Thank you Dan. Your walkthroughs are on another level. I bought Pro-R 2 based on this one.
Sensei Dan, in heaven and earth, is the Truly honored One! period.❤❤❤❤
Amazing. Used it all day. The IR import is so cool and such a great starting point for scoring stages

Love Dan on tutorials. Nice reverb!
Great update, although the decay time curve could use another color so it's easier to not confuse it with the side EQ curve :)
