Hi Dawn and John, it was great to watch your Poole parkrun clip! It's impressive that you both have completed almost 1,000 parkruns combined. The new course looks beautiful and challenging, with stunning coastal scenery. It's nice that you ran into a former Commonwealth Games runner and the event organization was excellent, considering the high number of participants. Congrats on your personal performances, and keep up the great work!
Well done guys another long adventure away! Perfect weather for it. I was at Hillsborough yesterday 25:17 which is decent for me and just after another illness. Hoping to go faster next week at possibly Rotherham 😅 Keep on keeping on!
Well done, Simon! It's Rotherham's anniversary next week. We were the first finishers there on their first event. It's a good undulating loop. Enjoy and indeed keep on keeping on. 👍
Congrats on the time trail Dawn! I suffer from a similar lag on my watch annoyingly. Fantastic footage on the drone. I wasn’t too far away from you this weekend over at Lymington parkrun.
What a beautiful parkrun location. That is brilliant result Dawn!! Based on that do you have a target pace for next Sunday? I love parkrun wavas as they still use the old data. In my news my partner has Covid 🙈 this is not looking good for me 😢 as we have just spent a couple of days away on his boat and two hour drive home together!
Thanks, Sandra. What's the old data as I just go by what each race produces and don't really look and compare? I've got 3 goals for Manchester. All sub 3.30 🙂 Sorry to hear your partner has covid. Hope he's not unwell with it! Fingers crossed you don't get it....🫰🫰I know families who have managed not to get it when others close to them have, so here's hoping for you!
Hi Dawn. There are wava tables that have been produced more recently than those parkrun uses. Standards have improved quite considerably so there is usually a 2-3 % difference. A lot of races still use the old ones too for example a recent 5 mile race gave me 82.00 but the new standard was only 80.0. I only know this because of the running site I log my stats on and am always disappointed when it is downgraded 😂 I have the beginnings of a cold so will test tomorrow 😢 Have a great run and enjoy above all being able to participate 🎉 xx
I see... Yes, I've just looked at a few age grading calculators, and I came out at around 87.02% as opposed to the parkrun wave of 89.84%. My aim when trying hard is 80% and above, so I'm pretty pleased with the result on other wave calculations, too. Hope the cold is just that. Although very close to Boston... 🥲
Feeling pretty rubbish with temperature, headache and cough. It just wasn't meant to be!! I shall enjoy tracking you instead and wish you success on your marathon mission!!
To some places, but not Dorset. The furthest radius from home would be 2 hours. We only go if there is also some other place of interest we want to visit. 🙂
Good to see a bumper crowd out there 👍 I've never been to a parkrun that big but hoping to go to the home of parkrun, Bushy Park, at some point where I hear they tend to have over 1000. That's a super age grading as well Dawn, excellent.
My home parkrun, I was there on Saturday. It was gorgeous weather and a fantastic turnout. Love the video ❤
Thank you Vanessa. A lovely venue and lovely day.

Beautiful parkrun. The sun rise in the background made some beautiful shots.
Yes, it was a glorious morning to show off the park. 🙂
This is my local parkrun… great video thanks! Great run by Mrs B too
Thanks, Lesley. Love Poole Park. We'll certainly be back in the summer. 🙂
Great running Dawn. Waiting to see you smash that marathon!
Thanks, Kathy! A week of keeping myself calm, then this time next week, it will be over...🙂
My home parkrun 😍 It's a lovely park!
Yes, it's very scenic! 😁
Looks busy and beautiful down there! Great to see the warm weather coming, it makes such a difference to those early runs!
It's was a lovely sunny but cold weekend, but we'll take that...🙂
An outstanding run Dawn irrespective of wava!!!
I have covid 😢
My first time too. Arghhhhhh
Oh, sugar! Not what you need the week of Boston. Hope you're not too unwell with it!
Fun Parkrun. It’s super quick. Flat as a pancake and basically a road run.
Looks fun.
Busy fun. 😁

@@tworunningbrooms that's amazing you guys!! I love it!
Beautiful day for a parkrun and great turnout at this one! Good thing the path seemed quite wide for most of the course. Looks like a fast one indeed!
Yes, it's mostly a wide closed road, but some pinch points and a section around the lake that was hard to overtake on. Still fast, though!
Congratulations dawn on ur age grade pb - amazing 🤩 well done you 👊😊
Thanks. I was very happy with my run. 🙂🏃♀️👍
Wow over 800….ran there a few weeks back , never felt great but finished with a very good time .Marshalled here at Heartlands in Cornwall yesterday
It's definitely one for going for a good time. 👍

Thanks, Sam. That's one on our radar for when we're down in summer.
The watch thing is annoying...
That certainly is some turn out. Do you have a particular Parkrun lined up for your combined 1000 ?
Not yet, as it depends if Dawn does Milton Keynes Marathon. We would like it to be one of our favourite. 🙂
Well done Dawn, you’d make the perfect pacer for me 😂
I'd be too kind you need John. 🤣🤣
@@tworunningbrooms 😂😂😂😬

Dawn got a whopping 89.84% age grading!
If she got a little bit faster she would be a world class runner!
Feeling pretty rubbish with temperature, headache and cough. It just wasn't meant to be!! I shall enjoy tracking you instead and wish you success on your marathon mission!!
Rubbish! 🥲 Get lots of rest, and hopefully, your time will come in another marathon.
Hi guys, Do you travel from S Yorks and back in one day?
To some places, but not Dorset. The furthest radius from home would be 2 hours. We only go if there is also some other place of interest we want to visit. 🙂
We crossed the line together then Dawn. 21.00
Hi, yes, so it seems. I didn't recognise anyone around me. I think I was focused on trying to break 21 and thought I had. 🤔

We did Bushy back in the day with a couple of hundred runners. Maybe we'll take Mr Drone to their 1000th event. That would be a scene!
