His bandmates were his drug buddies. The bassist was arrested for possession of cocaine when the police arrived to Scott's death scene (cocaine was one of the drugs Scott overdosed on). And, considering how he talked in the media about anyone who dared suggest he was using, had any of them said anything he probably would have fired them and replaced them with another 'yes man' who would enable his drug use.
This video made me cry. Scott deserved best at the end of his sad life! It hurts to see him in those awful health conditions, even though have passed already six and a half years of this video and six years of his death. I miss him terribly!

Homer Simpson I’m not a lawyer and I don’t have any experience with the system but would you not be able to get the amount t adjusted if you’re not making the same amount of money?

I guess why it wasn't adjusted because he was still clearly able to make that much but at the expense of both mental and physical health. I guess he had to keep touring to make money to pay his ex-wife and maintain his standard of living. From the interviews I gathered that he actually hated touring that much as he was more of a creative person and would rather spent his time recording new music. It is really tragic story.

While I get her point about father that should be with his kids and stuff like that, I felt it was rather unsensitive from her when she played a role in his downward spiral. Scott was sick and his mental health reflected his substance abuse. Ending a message that he chose to give up is just disrespectful. I don't know man, it is sad... As I said, I didn't know him but I don't think he gave up when he dealt with that shit for a long time. In the end he just ran out of energy to keep fighting and lost the fight for good.

But it did seem more noticeable the last year of his life. I guess his body was worn out and weak - between that, his bipolar meds, the substance abuse and the Hepatitis C.
