God he looked so good and healthy.
Yes definitely. His body had tone and definition and he looked healthy and like he wanted to be alive.
He barely looks like the same person
@@chipmcdip8629 he was perfect 😭💔💔
The unhealthy creates the best modern hymns.
MYheah head. Head. Head. My. Head. My thoughts. My thoughts. My thoughts. Me me me. Who is it that grasps silently to HOPES. who!
This is the Scott I choose to remember. His roar was amazing.
There was nobody cooler than baggy pants, baggy t-shirts, full power voice Scott Weiland from 93-95. When he lost the baby fat on his face , 1996 onward, he completely switched up his style and clothes.
Baby fat years was Beer years, then came heroin years.
1996 and onward was his actual style, he said he only wore the baggy clothes to fit in with the grunge scene
@@autopsy3689it was all they could afford at that time okay?
The fact that his t-shirt has “Chester” at the back is extraordinary
Which Chester is it?
YES IT IS!!!!!...wtf!!!!!!!!.....
Somewhere in that mosh pit is an 18 year old.. me...damn I olded.
I olded too but at least you got to be there :,(
We all olded!
I’m pretty olded myself. As I watched the crowd I thought how freeing it must have felt to be in a here. So glad you had the experience. 🤘🏻
Other than 1965-1970, the music from 90-99’ was the best music I’ve ever heard made. This was one of those bands that made that era epic. RIP SW.
I think if you add in the years 70-75,you nailed it. I was in my thirties during the 90s. Just some wonderful groups
@@stephentierney9266 Agreed! 67-99 rock music seemed to evolve so wild and pure. An entire culture established on art and music. Back before the dark days of Auto Tune.
If I had a time machine I’d go back to the early 90s.
Same
Me too!
I was there…I mean being 14 sucks no matter what…some parts were cool though
Oh hell yeah!!
Same, bro
What a difference a few years can make.
When Self isolating, listen to STP.
Yes. I'm about 3 months behind you love. I mean as far as the response. But We've been isolating for 3 1/2 mos. Words to live in, 2020.
Yup, my go-to. STP all the way. I’m currently not feeling well and here I am. TH-cam is my STPtube.
@@a.schottinthedark57 stptube love that!
@@a.schottinthedark57 I'm a little late with the reply but I hope you're doing better
I first read that as "when self loathing, listen to STP"
RIP Scott Weiland (October 27, 1967 - December 3, 2015), aged 48
You will be remembered as a legend.
Should have seen him in San Diego
This was my first gig ever I was right at the front few rows ...I was thrown around like ragdoll..fantastic energy..and like that I was a lifetime fan ..Reading 93 was awesome
Thanks for watching and commenting, you were lucky to have been there😎
31 years later still gets my blood flowing!!!! STP LIFER!!!!!
STILL DOES - ONE OF THE HARDEST ROCK SONGS EVER - AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT!!!!
Such a lovely man , there has been and never will be a better front man !
No Morrisson
Bowie
Murcury
Hutchence
Jagger etc etc …
There will never be nor has there been a better front man 😎🙅♂️
Rubber man rubber man ! The GOAT ! We miss you and love you every day God ❤️
Bon Scott i'd put in there cuz;-)
Scott in his prime, rest in peace brother.
Thanks for watching and commenting Julian
Omg Scott!!! 😢
Gosh he looked so damn AMAZING!!!! And healthy!!! So nice to see this and it's so nostalgic!!! I can't watch his later performances where he was all messed up it breaks my heart!!! I'm so sad he couldn't fight his demons and battled a severe addiction. I've been battling addiction and alcoholism for far too
Many years now so I know the struggles. They don't make music like this anymore
I'm truly glad I grew up in this era!! We had THE BEST music ever!!! I hope your at peace now Scott!!!! 🖤💔
YEP I SAW HOW HEALTHY AND TONES HE WAS SINCE THE STUDIO VERSION OF THIS SONG - LATER HE GOT SKINNIER AND SKINNIER. WHAT A GROUP.👍👋👋
Still my favorite band
I agree.
Gutted
They were badass for sure!!!
I agree to.
yea
Dean Deleo reminds me of Jimmy Page w the hair and Les Paul
Dean starts a solo and...goodbye Slash.
what a time to be alive
Absolutely and scary to think it was almost 30 years ago 😮
It's an awesome time to be alive as a live music fan that can catch windows into the past, catch streams, and find new music via YT. Thanks STV!
This gave me goosebumps. So healthy and the whole band sounded amazing. I wish I could tell Scott not to do any drugs, we need this music more than ever.
I hope you enjoyed this
well he wouldnt be the scott we love without drugs
he lived longer than few. RIP
Same, so true.
He will live on forever 🙏❤️ don’t hold your breath waiting for a front man to come close to him 🙅♂️ the essence of the 90’s 😎
Look how heavy he was.... before opiate addiction and every other drug known to man. What a lost talent. Miss his voice
Not heavy but healthy. ❤
I’d say buff. Total stud
Hot as hell.....😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
captured images retrieved from Planet Rock & Roll : At the exact moment of the rock star's appearance in his natural habitat the stage !
One of the best front men of all time what a loss ❤🤘❤️🤘
So true, thanks for watching and commenting
Ain't it though. We have lost so many. He was awesome. STP (early) was one of the best ever. Core is and always will be my favorite.
1993 I was 16yrs old and we were SMACK in the middle of a Rock n Roll revolution !
Thanks for watching and commenting
Those were the REAL music festivals - people mushing all over the place and really living it up. No smartphones and not being stressed whether your freakin IG story was being popular or not. Just enjoying the music and really being there in heart and mind! Greetings from Mexico. Been a big STP fan since forever!
Love seeing the concert crowd and mosh pit jumping and bouncing. (No cellphone camera BS.)
"mushing"?
I would use my phone to take small videos lol
@@adamw116 It strangely kinda makes sense... Moshing into a mush! 😀
I was there that weekend, it was one of the greatest weekends of my life. I'm 53 now and so wish I could go back and live it all again. 🤘🏼😍🤘🏼
Thanks for watching and commenting Ian
If u figure out how to go back can I go with u??
@@jasonkeith9317 yes of course.
Fantastic weekend Tool were excellent from what I can remember. 😂😂😂
I used to valet cars in San Diego, there was a story of Scott often pulling up in a Porsche full of boxes of wine.
🎉 f ' in awesome performance. STP rocked it. Scott's is a vocal god. But dam it, still brings tears to my eyes. RIP buddy 😎
it's crazy how Scotts voice literally never lost any power for so long. He didn't really really lose any of his voice capabilities until about 2010
Not true at all. He lost the power and the raspiness by around 96-97. Heroin does that. Theres a big difference between his concerts then to his 93-95 shows.
@@lastfewtokes You are correct he did lose some raspiness but I meant he didn't completely lose his voice like a lot of rock singers do.
@@joshuafult84 Good point. Up until his 40’s he still had a massive range for someone no matter their age. Nothing beats 93 Scott Weiland though. 🤘
Chicago 2010 concert he sounded great.
@@lastfewtokes he is very hoarse here, obviously struggling, probably just fatigue from back to back performances, singing is so hard, people dont realize til they do it.
God he was so damn fine. All of them
I love Scott's look during this performance 😍
Thanks for watching and commenting Linda
He accidentally predicted one of the more common styles used by nu metal and hard rock d00dz of the early 2000s.
If you don’t like STP something is wrong with you
Insane how Scott changed through the years
I love how matter what year it is Rob DeLeo looks 45
Hahaha
That hairline really betrayed him...
but god damn can the man come up with tasty bass lines!
So healthy here, and the voice is PRISTINE
7:49 Pause it. Kinda eerie how the back of Scott's shirt reads "Chester" and how Chester Bennington eventually became their singer for a bit.
Damn Scott is unrecognizable this healthy lol. just 3 years later, at 25 he looked 45 and sick and losing hair and emaciated and had lost his deep tone.
0:50 o cara levou uma na cabeça coitado
Scary to see how he transformed into a former shell of who he was.
Miss you Scott ..hope you found some sort of peace.
Damn, when Scott was in his prime he was untouchable. Shame what happened to him.
I agree dude his voice in his prime was untouchable so sad how even when they first got back together in 2000 his voice wasn't the same. And it was all down hill after that such a shame that he battled mental illness and drug addiction his whole life.
@@Ridingasadad I'm still crushed over it. His eyes were lost and had no light left in them if that makes any sense 😭💔
@@pattyconley4096 I totally understand and it makes sense even in one of his last interviews you can tell by looking in his eyes nobody was home. He was showing up late to his own headlining shows with the wildabouts late so sad.
I saw him perform the week he died and yeah, he really seemed out of it.
@@nedflanders2943 what was it like watching him on stage?
Kind of eerie the back of Scott’s shirt says “Chester” (at 3:21) considering Chester Bennington would replace him 20 years after this performance.
Early 90's was a good time for music
Best version of Naked Sunday (live). 7:13
The best era of rock music....Scott, Layne, Mark Lanegan, Kurt, Billy, Mark Arm, The Pixies and on and on and on
That’s a real rock star kids. Just don’t do drugs baby
Crazy to see he was doing the dance moves before the drugs. I always assumed he was just tweaking out but glad to see it comes from an authentic place
I love to watch him dance!! I never saw another dancer cut a rug like the way Scott Weiland did it!! 🕺🤩
@@kamijenkins4202 yes!!!!!so wild,weird,free,sexy.....😍😍😍😍

the greatest live music decade
I recorded this too! The Beat was a great programme. Can't believe the state Scott ended up in 😢
Did you hold onto your tapes or lose them over the years?
@@ScottishTeeVee no, they're gone due to several house moves etc 😔
@@angelacurran5924 That's a shame, as the original production company master tapes no longer exist. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Back then when you could actually hear the bass
RIP Scott, you are truly missed.

I keep watching this video over and over again. The mesh of the music and the presenter works out quite well.
these sick 90s bands man
thanks for posting all these man you are absolutely incredible
I'm glad you found and enjoyed them 🙂
I’ve seen STP lots of times this was before he hit his prime
Perhaps, but he is still pretty damn good
ScottishTeeVee ya man I have in top ten best front men of all time! Not like the crap they hear today
So True@@mikepedroza9218 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Absolutely . Unfortunately there are almost no videos of his peak , which was during the purple tour. At least imo.
@@fairweatherfriends. dam I wish he was still here cuz rock n roll did dead now there are real front men of his caliber anymore

Relic!!
The good old days. Fark! Wish I was back there.
Dude, Eric is a damn beast! Holy moly!!
Scoot was a great dancer.
El grandioso contraste de la bateria con los otros instrumentos qe hermosa emocion .
For me I would say that the legendary grunge/alternative albums of that time were Core, Nevermind, Superunknown, Ten, Dirt and Days Of The New, and are my favs.
STP featured your video on one of their throwback instagram posts! Congrats!
Yes, you are right, thanks for telling me 🤗
SW the man of the thousand voices and thousand faces
Amazing voice
People who don’t like STP, make me sick
Blud at the beginning wanted to take credit for Plush being a hit
Whaaat?!?
Eric KILLIN it on the double kick at the end of sex type thing! That’s amazing...I’ve barely heard him use his double kick outside of a fill here and there
Glad you enjoyed this
Eric is one of the most underrated drummers

I love to watch Scott dance!! His voice was AMAZING. Sure do miss him. R.I.P. Scott Weiland.

They were so damn good in that era
Agreed🎸
Scott Weiland looked like an "embryo" of what would become,"A mega ultra Monster of Rock" !
See the Daytona Beach 93 MTV video. 3 songs. STT is the last song. Absolutely Amazing. Probably 1 of the best performances ever. Dean is on fire
Thanks for watching and commenting
Miss this man and era of the band. STP will always be my first sought out band. First album purchase at harmony house. First band I fell asleep to. First...
Thanks for watching and commenting
Yeah dude, they're extremely special to me, too. Rap was the first non-mainstream genre I ever got into and I grew up hating glam but there were five defining songs that really hooked me on grunge/alternative for good: Smells Like Teen Spirit, Don't Cry, The Unforgiven, Sober, and Plush. I realize not all of those are grunge but they all steered me right into it. Also, it's amusingly ironic that I hated glam yet was helped into liking grunge by STP, a band that started out fairly glam-tinged in the pre-Core days.
Also, STP was just the third concert I ever went to. It was the Tiny Music tour in May 1997 with Cheap Trick opening. PHENOMENAL opener. I knew nothing by them going in and they won over a crowd easily 10-15 years too young to be reasonably expected to know who they are, let alone give a shit about them.
Also, STP was the first band I ever saw multiple times. Caught 'em on the No. 4 tour in 2000 as well.
Robert DeLeo still looks the same after all these years 🤣🤘
Makes me sad to see Scott at the end of this so young and full of life.
I can remember watching this at the time I recorded it on vhs video tape fuck I'm old
can't believe I've never seen Scott, 93 my fav year in life period! why I'm divorced I guess I miss her to but 93 i miss more!!!!
