@@luisf.martinez2582 I definitely upgraded to a ninja 600 within like 2 months of owning the bike. It’s a nice starter I guess but extremely underpowered for crazy traffic and NOT a highway/interstate bike. It’ll do alright around that 50mph range but just feels unsafe at 65+. Not only that but the mono shock is terrible for an extra rider you’ll have to really stiffen up the rebound stiffness. I’m 6 foot 180 and have long legs but it felt nice for my size. If you’re getting it for less than let’s say 1300 I would say go for it. But any higher you might as well look for a 300cc ninja or bigger. Better fuel economy better ride and better part accessibility.
@@steezdagodd3103 for sure I appreciate it i was also looking at a 2001 susuki Gz250 only 800miles tops out at about 85-90 for $2200 the thing looks impeccable basically new from a motorcycle dealer so thats really tempting im only 5’11 about 180lbs and i hear the motorcycle is about 350lbs and great with handling and good beginner motorcycle i might just give it ago 🙏🏼
Neu 0zzy yes it can keep you from getting run over on the highway. I haven’t tested the top speed yet but someone else with the same bike and sprocket set up had it around 100 to 105 MPH
Grandpaps Garage incredible as that is definitely more than enough yet not want my license record scuffed and hope you have good luck on your endeavors 💪
My friend just bought his first bike its 2005 hd softail 1500cc and i want this v250 yamaha and he keep saying don’t be stupid its not worth buying I think he’s stupid not me
I just got the same bike, same year and even the same color, whats even more interesting is that i am the 3rd owner of mine as well.Mine has just 9230 miles on it ,the bike is just broken in and is in similar shape as yours.I do have a ride vlog with it on my channel if you would like to check it out, will also be putting a back sissy seat on mine for the girlfriend.i didn't think i would like a low rider style bike but am loving it after riding it a few times and this is not my style of bike that i am use to.
very good sound friend, I have a 95 and I am thinking of changing its exhausts for something like that, you will have the circumference measurement as data
Did you reject your carb to adjust for the open pipes ? I’ve been considering buying some pipes for a project over the winter, but am hesitant to mess w/ the carb
@@Lank912 Make that ALMOST any! :) My first motorcycle I bought in 1989 was a slightly used 1986 Honda Rebel 450 (CMX450C), a pretty rare motorcycle only made for a few years and it had spoked wheels but still had tubeless tires, with what must've been a pretty unique design with the spokes threading through a flange on the rim and the threaded ends were on the hub! I've recently seen another motorcycle with the same sort of design but don't remember the make. Geez I do miss that little Honda! (I miss all the motorcycles and most the cars I've owned but that's a whole other story!)
Somebody pet that cat!
Look at the size of that house! Incredible!
Just got one today the exact same color and all. I’m very in love with this bike it’s perfect for a starter or a smaller person
How tall are you im looking to buy one right now!!

Looks good, and sounds real good for a 250cc. Those drag pipes work.
Le cambió el escape y quitó silenciador
sounds great! ride safe and hopefully getting myself one as my 1st, ppl think I’m wierd because I’m 24..
Neu 0zzy it’s a great bike to start on. I changed the sprockets to get better top end out of the bike just so the RPM is lower when cruising.
Grandpaps Garage looks like that will be the first thing to do for the VStar especially in Southern California where nobody does 65mph limit :(

This sounds way more mean than expected I thought only big bikes could sound like this
Single crank pin v-twin with true dual pipes will do that for ya! Sounds great indeed! ❤️
Man, those are just good looking bikes I'll take over a harley for price

That sounds really good especially for a 250cc what pipes
So stylish and cute! Want One just for a little McDonald's and back Cruiser... :D

I did not rejet mine.
Depends on the carb, XV250 carb is capable of a wide range of tuning.
sounds great
Did you have to make any carb adjustments with the aftermarket exhausts?
No sir
You replaced the sprockets yourself?? If so was it a semi easy process or would taking it to an experienced person be a better option ??
It was not that difficult
it's using tubed tires still?
Yes, any wheel with spokes uses a tube
