Its good as it is. Anyway, i love the old Bullet of course, i grew up on it, but it would be boring to get an album like the other ones. Thats my opinion. :)

even after a year of this songs birth it still helps me through the dark times. My baby brother recently passed away may 16th. He was a survivor of a horrible motorcycle accident in 2017 when he had -1% chance to survive and he pulled thru. 3 years later a rip current took him away from us. His bro in law and a fisherman found him 500 yards. they did everything they could for him. 26 years before him my little brother his other big brother by 2 years passed away at 2 years old to drowning so 26 years apart two of my brothers passed away to drowning. how I miss them and how this song makes me feel that I have the power to heal from all the hurt I had to endure the past 26 years.

This album is an auditory recreation of what divorce is like. Looking for stucture when there is none. Trying to get yourself through your days without the one you love(d). Trying to make something out of nothing. Trying. There are going to be some extremely emotional moments when they perform these songs live... I will say that this album is not the "old BFMV." But I will also say this: if you divorce from someone or something and don't change in the process, then you never really loved what you lost in the first place. Losing someone changes you as you try to figure out how to go on. Think about that. And you'll see just how ignorant all the "I want the old BFMV songs back" comments are.

BFMV feels like, at least for me, that they have grown and matured as I have. When I first found them I was driving around mindlessly on Need for Speed Most Wanted, that was back when I need the strong rebellion. But as I got older I grew to love the punk/rock that became more mature. Honestly, everything I've found from BFMV so far has been beautiful, touching and just amazing! Keep it up, and just remember, there will always been someone in your corner! ♥

I wrote my ex a note while we were dating, the words; "you kept me breathing under the water, when everyone else left me to drown." Because around the time we were dating I was seeking therapy and had to admit myself into a psych ward for things I expressed (suicidal thoughts, plans, etc.) For a few days. The day I was released she stayed with me the whole day because they wanted someone to make sure I was ok for at least 24 hours. She did it cause she loved me and wanted me to be ok. We broke up March 2020 right around the beginning of quarantine and I heard this song one night drunk as all hell and just fell apart. She really was there for me when everybody else said they were when in reality; we're not. I can never listen to this song the same again. But it truly is something.

The fact this entire album revolved around a divorce shows how much of a heart Matt has. I thought the sound was a BMTH ripoff at first. Then I learned this and listened more to the lyrics and it has since grown on me. Honestly, my favorite songs on the album are Piece of Me and Over It. But this is up there for the third spot.
People need to understand that this was basically Matt's way to get his personal feelings out because around the time that they started writing for the album, he'd just separated from his wife (they've since reconciled and gotten back together thankfully) and thus, didn't want to make a metal album more than he wanted to make one that would describe how he was feeling at that time, so it's still a heavy record in that aspect. Yes it kinda pushed Moose out of the band as a result and it seemed like everyone else took a backseat during the writing process, but they're his bandmates and people that are like brothers to him, so I think they understood why he wanted the album to sound the way it did and didn't mind. I'll always have a soft spot for it because it's what got me into BMFV, but this album exists for a reason and shouldn't be hated on just because it's not old-school Bullet or not that heavy for the most part.

My brother was a big Bullet fan. He loved the older songs so much, he even had “Deliver Us From Evil” tattooed across his chest. We would listen to “your betrayal” and “4 words to choke upon” in the car and he would hit the brakes so the car would rock with the music. He was my Idol, he introduced me to metal music and Bullet was the first band he ever showed me. He gave me one of his older shirts which had Bullet For my Valentine written on it with skulls and vines growing out of them and I remember it being the coolest shirt I ever had. He died in 2016, and since then, Bullet For My Valentine has become somewhat of a comfort for me, I listen to it to feel close to him and to grieve. I’m saying this because, while this song is not like the more popular ones, it’s a very powerful and emotional song. I can listen to this when I’m thinking of him and bawl my eyes out, or I can listen while doing work and feel a sense of comfort, like an angel over my shoulder. Some people don’t like this song, others hate the album entirely. I can’t help but disagree with that sentiment. This song comes from a source of incredible sorrow and yet it’s one of the most comforting things I can listen to. I love this song, and I know that my brother would have loved it too.

Esta canción no te genera nada, pero esas letras estan mejor pulidas que en otros tiempos tal vez eso si pueda rescatarse pero se queda en algo mediocre sin duda.
Facu Wind Mmm no concuerdo contigo del todo, es normal no poder a veces estar de acuerdo con alguien pero creo que Road To Nowhere y esta canción no son lo mismo como para medirlas con la misma regla, más sin embargo creo que son parecidas por lo acústico, el tono y la letra pero para nada idénticas Creo que Road es más del estilo de Scream Aim Fire, un sonido "Trashy" combinando con toques de nostalgia y una letra que es triste pero no tan cruda y esta por su lado, es más emocional, son toques de electrónica y muy poco uso de la guitarra eléctrica, con una letra más cruda con indicios de depresion, y sin ese toque "Heavy" y al final te da una canción que es 100% para que te deprimas Y por ultimo tienes 2 contrastes distintos, el estilo "Nostálgico pero no vulnerable" de Road to Nowhere y el estilo "Estoy vulnerable y no hay nada que pueda hacer" de Breathe Underwater Ambas son buenas canciones y tienen sus propios estilos pero definitivamente no es mediocre, porque expresa la canción que es sentir depresión por alguien que fue tan cercano a ti y expresarlo de una manera más vulnerable que Road No necesariamente se necesitan rifts heavy's melódicos para hacer una canción nostálgica o triste como el caso de Venom, Say Goodnight o All These Things Mientras tu sepas expresar lo que sientes y como lo quieres llevar a cabo, es más que suficiente, Deftones sería un ejemplo claro de esto

Segundo, yo hablé de que Road es más épica no si es más nostálgica, es más te di la derecha y dije que líricamente es mejor, más madura etc etc. Tercero, yo me refiero a que el instrumental de Road te hace que la canción te llegue, el INSTRUMENTAL es genial y la canción está bien estructurada. En cambio Breathe instrumentalmente es una canción garbage de tantas que uno puede ver en youtube, después si te emociona mas o menos eso ya está en cada uno, la cosa es que bullet tiene el potencial hasta para hacer canciones acústicas mucho mejor que esta y hasta por que no, añadirle un solo acústico bien nostálgico como decís vos. Listened to the whole album on repeat for a solid week and now just getting to see what videos they put out. This song stood out. Its beautiful and heavy just like a couple songs they put into each album. They can make an amazing real video for this song I think.
When i first heard this album in early 2018 i hated it. But i was a different person back then, i was with the love of my life, my dog was still alive, there were no scars on me, i was happy, i was successful in profession. 2 years later i lost all that along the way and now i finally appreciate this album.

Going through what I am going through....I understand everything he is saying...It is very very relatable. I listen to this I just cry, when your with someone for that long where do you go next? I have been a BFMV fan for a long time. I have to be honest: when this album came out, I was disappointed. Not because it's bad, but because I thought "It's not Bullet". No solos, almost no screams, much lighter sounds than the usual. But I gave it a chance, I listened to it many times and I really like it now. Moreover, one good thing of this album, EVERY song is good and fits perfectly in it, almost like it's a concept album. I mean, in each of their other works there are at least a couple songs that I tend to skip. In this one, no, every single song is worth listening to, like it's a necessary piece of a puzzle. I really like it. PS: I broke up with my GF very recently, I can't stop to listen to this song, it's the perfect picture of how I feel right now :(

Well, they said the entire time that they will take a "leap of faith" and depature from their normal metalcore sound. I would say they are more Post-Hardcore/Alternative Rock now, like Memphis May Fire of sorts.

BFMV feels like, at least for me, that they have grown and matured as I have. When I first found them I was driving around mindlessly on Need for Speed Most Wanted, that was back when I need the strong rebellion. But as I got older I grew to love the punk/rock that became more mature. Honestly, everything I've found from BFMV so far has been beautiful, touching and just amazing!

I wrote my ex a note while we were dating, the words; "you kept me breathing under the water, when everyone else left me to drown." Because around the time we were dating I was seeking therapy and had to admit myself into a psych ward for things I expressed (suicidal thoughts, plans, etc.) For a few days. The day I was released she stayed with me the whole day because they wanted someone to make sure I was ok for at least 24 hours. She did it cause she loved me and wanted me to be ok. We broke up March 2020 right around the beginning of quarantine and I heard this song one night drunk as all hell and just fell apart.
She really was there for me when everybody else said they were when in reality; we're not.
I can never listen to this song the same again. But it truly is something.

Not every album BFMV makes has to be heavy . This is such a chill album, sometimes you don’t want to listen to loud hardcore music.
The fact this entire album revolved around a divorce shows how much of a heart Matt has. I thought the sound was a BMTH ripoff at first. Then I learned this and listened more to the lyrics and it has since grown on me. Honestly, my favorite songs on the album are Piece of Me and Over It. But this is up there for the third spot.
People need to understand that this was basically Matt's way to get his personal feelings out because around the time that they started writing for the album, he'd just separated from his wife (they've since reconciled and gotten back together thankfully) and thus, didn't want to make a metal album more than he wanted to make one that would describe how he was feeling at that time, so it's still a heavy record in that aspect. Yes it kinda pushed Moose out of the band as a result and it seemed like everyone else took a backseat during the writing process, but they're his bandmates and people that are like brothers to him, so I think they understood why he wanted the album to sound the way it did and didn't mind. I'll always have a soft spot for it because it's what got me into BMFV, but this album exists for a reason and shouldn't be hated on just because it's not old-school Bullet or not that heavy for the most part.
Thank you Bullet, this song changed me. In a good way. I am very grateful.

Seeing people who put r.i.p bullet for my valentine is actually sad just because they changed their sound for an album, I like it, i feel like they are letting the emotions slip through more with this one, just because this album is different from what you are used to doesn't mean they are going to stick with it..

My brother was a big Bullet fan. He loved the older songs so much, he even had “Deliver Us From Evil” tattooed across his chest. We would listen to “your betrayal” and “4 words to choke upon” in the car and he would hit the brakes so the car would rock with the music. He was my Idol, he introduced me to metal music and Bullet was the first band he ever showed me. He gave me one of his older shirts which had Bullet For my Valentine written on it with skulls and vines growing out of them and I remember it being the coolest shirt I ever had. He died in 2016, and since then, Bullet For My Valentine has become somewhat of a comfort for me, I listen to it to feel close to him and to grieve.
I’m saying this because, while this song is not like the more popular ones, it’s a very powerful and emotional song. I can listen to this when I’m thinking of him and bawl my eyes out, or I can listen while doing work and feel a sense of comfort, like an angel over my shoulder. Some people don’t like this song, others hate the album entirely. I can’t help but disagree with that sentiment. This song comes from a source of incredible sorrow and yet it’s one of the most comforting things I can listen to. I love this song, and I know that my brother would have loved it too.

This song is hauntingly beautiful! I've been a fan since about 2005 and 'Breathe Underwater' just hit home for me. I was missing their heavy stuff but I can't praise this song enough. Their best new song in years for mine. Well done Bullet! Incredible track.

WHAT A BRILLIANT WAY TO FINISH THE ALBUM! Really, everything on this particular song is perfect: the instrumentation, choirs, voice, lyrics, everything put together like it was made for something ethereal.
I think this Album is more of a crying and suffering silently Album rather than a letting it all out and burst out in anger kinda album. I personally prefer Venom over this right now but they have totally different moods.

Jonathan Garcia S. road to nowhere es épica e infravalorada, rompe la parte acústica con riff melódicos y te invita hasta a agitar la cabeza. Esta canción no te genera nada, pero esas letras estan mejor pulidas que en otros tiempos tal vez eso si pueda rescatarse pero se queda en algo mediocre sin duda.

Mmm no concuerdo contigo del todo, es normal no poder a veces estar de acuerdo con alguien pero creo que Road To Nowhere y esta canción no son lo mismo como para medirlas con la misma regla, más sin embargo creo que son parecidas por lo acústico, el tono y la letra pero para nada idénticas
Creo que Road es más del estilo de Scream Aim Fire, un sonido "Trashy" combinando con toques de nostalgia y una letra que es triste pero no tan cruda
y esta por su lado, es más emocional, son toques de electrónica y muy poco uso de la guitarra eléctrica, con una letra más cruda con indicios de depresion, y sin ese toque "Heavy" y al final te da una canción que es 100% para que te deprimas
Y por ultimo tienes 2 contrastes distintos, el estilo "Nostálgico pero no vulnerable" de Road to Nowhere y el estilo "Estoy vulnerable y no hay nada que pueda hacer" de Breathe Underwater
Ambas son buenas canciones y tienen sus propios estilos pero definitivamente no es mediocre, porque expresa la canción que es sentir depresión por alguien que fue tan cercano a ti y expresarlo de una manera más vulnerable que Road
No necesariamente se necesitan rifts heavy's melódicos para hacer una canción nostálgica o triste como el caso de Venom, Say Goodnight o All These Things
Mientras tu sepas expresar lo que sientes y como lo quieres llevar a cabo, es más que suficiente, Deftones sería un ejemplo claro de esto

Segundo, yo hablé de que Road es más épica no si es más nostálgica, es más te di la derecha y dije que líricamente es mejor, más madura etc etc. Tercero, yo me refiero a que el instrumental de Road te hace que la canción te llegue, el INSTRUMENTAL es genial y la canción está bien estructurada. En cambio Breathe instrumentalmente es una canción garbage de tantas que uno puede ver en youtube, después si te emociona mas o menos eso ya está en cada uno, la cosa es que bullet tiene el potencial hasta para hacer canciones acústicas mucho mejor que esta y hasta por que no, añadirle un solo acústico bien nostálgico como decís vos. En fin la canción puede generarte algo a nivel lírico porque si, es triste y habla de la depresión pero el instrumental también cuenta y ahi no hay escencia de nada, no hay nada nuevo ni algo de originalidad, esa estructura si que es mediocre y si le sumamos la voz de matt que para mi en este disco es muy floja no hace un tema muy bueno que digamos.
Apesar de que sea una de las mejores canciones, y aunque aun conserven su esencia extraño al viejo BFMV.

But i was a different person back then, i was with the love of my life, my dog was still alive, there were no scars on me, i was happy, i was successful in profession. 2 years later i lost all that along the way and now i finally appreciate this album.

Going through what I am going through....I understand everything he is saying...It is very very relatable. I listen to this I just cry, when your with someone for that long where do you go next? They were everything you did everything with them. It like you forgot how to function without the other. I'm sorry for everyone else who feels this same pain, your not alone.

I have been a BFMV fan for a long time. I have to be honest: when this album came out, I was disappointed. Not because it's bad, but because I thought "It's not Bullet". No solos, almost no screams, much lighter sounds than the usual. But I gave it a chance, I listened to it many times and I really like it now. Moreover, one good thing of this album, EVERY song is good and fits perfectly in it, almost like it's a concept album. I mean, in each of their other works there are at least a couple songs that I tend to skip. In this one, no, every single song is worth listening to, like it's a necessary piece of a puzzle. I really like it.
PS: I broke up with my GF very recently, I can't stop to listen to this song, it's the perfect picture of how I feel right now :(

The entire album is not metal......although I agree it's not enough for say "RIP" as a band, they can do pop, or whatever they want, but.....you'll maybe agree aswell, they're not metal anymore
Well, they said the entire time that they will take a "leap of faith" and depature from their normal metalcore sound.
I would say they are more Post-Hardcore/Alternative Rock now, like Memphis May Fire of sorts.

However, in my case, me and the girl lost touch for a whole year and for some reason we kinda reconnected by a mutual friend of hers which has become one of my best friends. I had the opportunity to spill my soul and even though we're not together, that shit gave me some closure. I still love her, but I don't feel as bad as I used to feel during the time I kept it all for myself. The reason why I stopped trying to reconnect and build a relationship with her is because is about to be two years since we last talked as friends and we've both changed. I don't feel I belong there anymore, and is okay. At least she knows how I feel and I will always cherish her and all the memories we shared while we were friends. You should do the same. Try to talk to her, and tell her. But don't play the victim. Just be real, and thank her for being there when you needed someone by your side. It will lift a heavy emotional burden off you man
