I LOVE my dual axis. Really want them to develop a set for elbows with similar construction.

Sitting at home recovering from a concussion after a Mountain Bike fall, landed face first with a half-helmet on. I swore I would always wear my full face, but alas - the "cool" factor influenced me to do the half helm for what I thought was a simple trail with a few jumps. Unfortunately I took a hard fall and blacked out for about a minute. Lucky my son was with me. Face fully swollen and recovering. Elbows and knees scratched up. I have the Leatt Hybrid 3D EXT Kneed guards, which are awesome and will NEVER leave home without them and the full face helm. Now I'm looking for some arm guards as I suffered pretty nasty rash on both elbows. These look like they provide great protection and comfort.
Thanks for review and trying on items.

The pads do take some of the "just ride" factor away when you have to "suit up" before each ride. But it is well worth it if you go down.....but the stories are not as great....lol.

I own the dual axis & the Hybrid. The hybrid tore above the knee & below the strap on my 1st fall exposing my skin to the rocks. Massive gash on my knee, very pushed with the poor stitching. I’ve gone back to the dual axis pads.

I sorry to hear that. Have you reached out to Leatt? You may have had a defective set.

Good review, I'm glad you showed the Guards with your boots on. I've just bought the Leatt 3DF extended Knee Guards, due to the Acerbis Profile 2.0 that I own at the moment, been just too bulky and I can hardly close my Alpinestar Tech7 boots....That said the Acerbis Guards are a perfectly decent entry-level Guard and it probably down to my large calf's.

I apologize for not responding sooner. This comment somehow slipped by. I just checked and the size of pads and we have "S/M" as listed on the tag. We all have skinny legs. I would think Medium would be OK for your size. Thanks for the comment.

Would I recommend these over knee braces for HS type racing/ trails?

Technically speaking, these products are not knee braces. They are Pads and Protection. We have never done any races so I can't say if they would hold up to long Hair Scramble races. What I do know is the moderate trail riding that we do is perfect for protection. Hope this helps.

people dont understand that you should wear something that slides on asphalt like hardened plastic, instead of some sort of sponge...........
