LOL I appreciate your complete tear downs of these devices. I've always been interested in possibly purchasing one but I always refer to reviews like yours to figure out if it's worth the price tag. It would seem most are NOT! LOL What do you recommend (if any are available) in regards to just getting a straight up arcade only console like this? I'd love to get one that doesn't include broken or imperfect emulations of any home console just something that plays straight up arcade games from back in the day!

Yep, Im working my way through reviews i have of products like this then I think I need to move on from these types of devices. Too many, too much crap, nothing that stands out.

Hey, I was thinking about getting one of these and I was wondering does mortal kombat 1 and 2 arcade play alright on there?
the buttons at first glance are set up where the closest button is for light attacks and the furthest button is for heavy attacks now while im not used to using a fightstick as ive yet to buy one i do think that personally it wouldn't be that hard to figure out

I’ve got one of these being delivered in the next couple of days. The screen tearing this will be an issue. I think my nephews will play on it more than I will.
It’d be great to find a cheap mini cafe to swap out internals for a lattepanda or something
also it has hdmi so to fix screen tearing couldn't you plug the device into a monitor or tv using hdmi
I had a Pandora's Box 4 that was not too bad except for the horrible tearing, I could not bear it. I got a Pandora Game 3D (didn't choose it, wanted a heroes of the storm or something but got shipped this) and this is pretty decent, no tearing at all. There may be slowdowns here or there but generally the image is very stable. Wish I could turn off the stupid bilinear filtering but with scanlines it has a decent image.
I want one with the last Pandora 3D !!!
I grabbed one these recently - I think its fine for the price, $75 is what I paid - its a nice little option to get that arcade fix

I'm still trying to find a link or some way to add the battery? It can be hard trying to find a good outlet, or even entertain yourself during power outages, but what kind of battery / setup do you need to install?? I try to ask the sellers, and they only give me "Our price is expensive, you can find elsewhere"... but no links, no information or specifics. I thought, maybe with the empty spot, they intended to have a battery/portable option... However, I've had no luck so far finding any help.

i have it..also i have powkiddy a12... pandora mini have better colors on screen but powkiddy have retroarch(cfw),bigger screen and battery...i like the dx collection of arcade games..but dunno 200euro i paid seems so much...(i already have pandora dx mainboard) thinking to return it tomorrow to amazon....
It's kinda baffling how Pandora's Box clones are screwing up controls. When I got an old Pandora's Box 4x and Pandora's Box 5 back last year, the Capcom games all had controls that made sense, and few NeoGeo games needed the D button so having it placed below A rather than at the far end was not a huge killer (though in retrospect it was sign of things to come.)

Tekken Tag 1 and 2
Now there is games on here that are not fighting games such as

Super Mario World
But at the end of the day it's a good system if you're looking for the greatest retro games

Ok guys i have good news just read from another video that you can move the arcade roms to mame2003 folder and screen tearing is fixed for arcade games.For nes/snes you cant do anything as it seems.

You know what I hate about getting older? Getting upset about grammatical errors. The one that's got me lately is" if I do say so myself" used in the entirely wrong context. Just have to get used to the fact that language will continue to change.

20s and under are so self-righteous, and parents are Deathly afraid of challenging their children anymore, I used to blame the school system (cursive is no longer taught - yet they start algebra / Spanish classes in kindergarten / 1st grade?)... We at least had the sense to look up at elders, how they got there, what's right and what's not, and all that's taken the undertow since "Everybody is a winner!" And you don't dare hurt someone's feelings!

I got it on sale for about $86, so if you get the console and $13, maybe I'll consider envy. 😂 Still, isn't bad for an "official" release, it's been tough trying to work out getting a portable power source (battery), but I like the look, and feel is okay too! I can't have big expectations of emulation, when even current gen hardware either jitters, or can't "keep up" on most games - be it glitches, screentearing, slowdown, pop up... I think Watch Dogs and 1,000 times flying through the windshield on GTA tired me out of poor / delayed rendering.
Apples and oranges, huh, but I wonder how one hates an older format, and disregards the same / any limitations about new formats... I know people who think vinyls are the master class, some love cassettes, but it's tough on me to be so tough on trial and error work, versus "you paid $500 + $60 and got ___".. lol I dipped out on current consoles when they went all "online only" and wanting 24GB downloads before you can "play", really sent me back down memory lane and replaying all the games I'd never got around to. PS5 is not gonna be for me, and I really have no use for a PS4, it's not appealing at all to hurry up, bring a game home, and still need to wait hours before you can even try it out. With all the server complications, it's anybody's guess why "digital only" sounds feasible, maybe people prefer bills for nothing, or think of personal property as "clutter", but there's no fancy card or anything to say "I bought this game on release day!" ... ? There may be... I digress, I know I ranted lots for little, but for an already "budget" device, I'm not sure what realistic expectations look like. All I really care about is the screen, performance, feel, and battery life. So, maybe all of it, but for the price of a tshirt from your favorite retail giant... I don't think they're "junk". Lots of people salivated over the idea, for decades, so having an arcade in a box, I'm not sure you can really put a please-all price on there. Given the product quality, and what's included, I'd still say it's a good deal. I've easily spent more in 5 years, just playing Simpsons, X-Men, and pinball games growing up.

Also this guys haven't even bothered putting the right coloured device inside the box. The box shows the red one but they threw the black one inside.
The screen doesn't look very good honestly and not being able to put things in 4:3 when the console is suppose to emulate games played on 4:3 Crt Tv's is just silly.
The size at least makes the arcade stick and button usable unlike the Neo-Geo mini.
