This is actually a pretty neat idea for a portable arcade machine. If they had a way for you to rotate the screen for vertical games, this would be a nice little portable MAME box.
If you are looking for a similar form factor but much cheaper and lighter and I recommend the Powkiddy A13. I've had it for a few months and its been great, and it has a clamshell with a detachable joystick that stores in the unit when folded. The screen isn't as good, and the body is plastic (which I prefer), and its processor is a bit weaker (plays up to PS1), but its $100 as opposed to $350. It's also really, really RED... which once I got used to is part of its charm now.
Gotta say, I love you channel because of how you present things. You, Ralph, ETA, Wicked, 3rd floor and Killer have a great presentation. There passion, knowledge and just some good god damned times behind what you all do. It's very, very appreciated. If I had the know how if video editing I'd be doing what you all do as I just cannot hold back the excitement of what I see happening in the home arcade space. It just awesome. Love you guys. It looks like something benheck has built! They need to keep with the g1000 arcade style of casing as this is too messy for a portable solution. The ribbon cable needs sorting too!!
pretty cool form factor but the semi-jank emulation these pandora boards put out on the higher end games is what kills the sale for me since I have plenty of other ways to emulate stuff up thru the ps1, wish they'd use more powerful cpus.

Last thing I got from Japan(years ago) was on ebay, got a new, complete in box official Japanese Sega Saturn Wireless Controller set. The box for the controller as well as the shipping was pierced like an earring, about an inch big. All those years of being stored in some Japanese guy's collection, never used, just to be shanked like a prison inmate. At least whatever pierced it missed the controller. Ironically, all my Chinese purchases have arrived fine.
So some things you didn't cover. What is the DB25 connector on the side for? It has 2 HDMI ports, does it support 2 external displays? Can you use them both and the built in display all at the same time?

But I want something a bit more powerful and is able to play a greater range of systems efficiently without me having to add anything. Which Pandora box do I go for, or is there a better alternative?

Soul Calibur psp had frameskip on. It looked like it was running 30fps. That said, DOA on Dreamcast looked great. It’s one of the tougher DC games to run so that’s impressive
It looks cool for sure, but it seems incomplete.The cable in the back and the handle seem mickey mouse TBH. But I like the button layout and it seems sturdy.

I can understand the minute commercial but the lengthy PragerU one makes me wanna quit TH-cam. It's that annoying. I like these things but it makes me feel so old with my custom MAME cabinet still sitting in my living room that I built from scratch in 2004.
Pretty nice for a Pandora box but that price is out of this world.
For that price you may as well buy a series s and emulate all those arcade games on it.
