Mavic Mini - Gimbal Stuck Error with Fix!

I had a minor crash that knocked my gimbal out of whack. It wasn't a software issue, but rather a physical one. The gimbal was pushed up and back into the body of the drone and was stuck. I used two screwdrivers to fix it. Now it's good as new!

Just bought one at Costco. charged it up and tried it out & got the Gimbal Stuck warning. I was very careful with it but I assume it got dropped at Costco or during shipping. I pulled slightly forward and it works perfectly now! Many thanks!

I had the same problem. I couldn’t fix the stuck gimbal. While I was trying to use duster and air to clean the gimbal, nothing would work.
I then was flying the drone in my living room and flew the drone into the wall crashing the drone. SURPRISE! The drone fixed itself after crashing into the wall! It was a miracle. I am guessing some dirt got stuck in the motor and when I crashed it into the wall, the dirt loosened up.
Anyways! Works great now! 🤙🏻

DJI should fix this by another hardware revision. It should not be so easy to block the gimbal.

Dude! Saved my butt! I was out on my first run with my Mini 2, trying out some basic maneuvers, and even in a huge open field managed to crash into a tree! Took a bit of Googling to find your solution, but easy, peasy! I'm back in business. (Now if I can just figure out how to avoid crashing it again...)

@Joelb already said it, but for those having this issue, definitely try gently pulling the gimbal out a bit. I panicked thinking I had already broken my drone when in reality the gimbal was just too far in. I def think this is going to be an issue for those who get this drone for the first time and are new users such as myself. Anyways great video, super helpful tips!

Likewise, my Mavic Mini flew backwards and hit a wall. Gimble stuck to the left side. I noticed that there is a Y-shaped support arching to the top cover and one leg of the Y is out of its proper socket. Similar I used one, not two, small screw driver and pop it to the right place and WaLa. It is loose now. Hope it tests okay. Thank you for the video.

Dam bro. Good job. You should mention that it make a snap noise in place. I used wood skewers to move both blk plastic arms at same time.

Nice. So far, I like it. But, I think the video quality is not great. I shoot in 1080 and it's not as good as my phone or iPad at the same resolution.
Maybe in doing something wrong.
@@highswithlowe Firstly you need an SD CARD to put inside your drone. Then you choose the video settings to be 2.7K at 30fps and hit record and begin your flying. 1080p is also a good resolution, but I always use either 50fps minimum or usually I use 60fps!
After your finish making your video and finish flying when you land the drone take out the SD CARD and put it in a computer, then you will see the real high quality.
If you are watching vises on TH-cam then always remember to choose the 1080p at least, usually also for Mavic Mini videos I choose 2.7K (1440p) if possible.
The video which are found on your phone are just CACHE videos, just for reference so you can review your clips! Also in TH-cam always use HD quality at least view the videos!
The videos which you have automatically on your phone are the low quality CACHE videos, you don't even really need those.
You can also use the Fly application to download the full 1080p or 2.7K video files directly to your phone, and then watch the high quality on your phone directly! This usually takes a lot of time depending on the videos, that's why I prefer to use my computer and copy in seconds.
Watch my videos on my channel, like my first flight to the Stadium, but watch at 2.7k (1440p) and tell me how the quality especially when I fly over the actual stadium.

@@ivanjdrakov1957hey Ivan, thanks for the detailed reply. I have an SD card that I use. I use 1080p since that's what I shoot with my camera, my phone and my iPad. I don't want to deal with a different resolution with the drone. Also the files are huge. Anyway thanks! I'll check it your videos.

I had the same problem a few days ago and I find the solution by pulling the gimbal forward and now the gimbal is like new.

I crashed my mini and the gimbal was pushed in when I rocovered it. I was able to get it unstuck tho. But now it yaws weird and there's a visible horizon tilt everytime I rotate the drone in any direction

my problem is the horizontal gimbal, it doesnt resenter when i play with it
My gimbal isn't stuck but I keep getting the error code and it won't move so how to fix that?
what is it actually pulling? mine just moved forward with the rubber mounting, nothing popping.
There are two black support arms that get stuck and it pulls them out/front. The gimbal then is able to move freely on its rubber bands again.

i bought a mavic mini yesterday as my first drone, i charged the battery overnight set it up and instantly had a error saying a camera malfunction and it said it needed to be repaired. i haven't even flown it

I'd recommend that you delete the 1st 9 minutes of your video and get to the point, which is how to fix a stuck gimbal. Why all the other stuff - it ain't important, but thank you for the tip to use to small screw drivers.

I know I don't have the best tools but I fixed before and heard a click. Problem is that only fixes one time. When restarting the problems persists.

I been getting that error just got my Mini. a week ago.but it's not pushed in. I just play around with it a bit and reset it in the app and its ok then when i go out to fly again it does it again. 3 times out same thing. a pain in the butt . But it seems to correct itself after play with it for a bit. don't know why it does that?

HELP! Please :) Cannot calibrate gimbal, it gets stuck at 10 or 20%.. During the test, the gimbal only tilts one direction and not the other! Had a little beer spill the other day and all seemed fine but not anymore.. Was having gimbal stuck message but not anymore. Now i just cant calibrate it, and it seems to only tilt in one direction.. Please help :)

Oops, sorry I didn't reply sooner! I think you do have the same problem and I hope you fixed it by now. In any case, I don't think I can describe it better than I showed in the video.
You use the tips of the small screwdrivers to simultaneously pull the black support struts forward, to the front of the drone.

My mavic says 40002 stuck but when I turn the mini on the gimbal rotates freely. My brother is fond of telling anyone who will listen "I dont think introverts exist.
