    Anyone remember the infamous "no call" NFC championship game saints vs Rams? The refs all went to a huddle and still didn't make the right call. Very questionable how it all went down. Then the NFL changes the rules so that refs can overturn PI calls and the next year change it back to how it was before.....comon man!

    You literally only need 1 ref to be paid off/told to hold a flag or two which can dramatically change a game. A single ref can make sure to call a hold on one team and not another. You dont need "everyone" in on it.

    • @maxbrian6066
      @maxbrian6066 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Exactly. Plus, you also can get leverage over a player or two to do something they otherwise wouldn't. The argument has been the players already make millions why would they do something for the sake of some bet or preference? Well, when lots of money is at stake, someone in control with power can always arrange something. Maybe a player has a crime or scandal in their background that would ruin them if found out. McAfee needs to drop the whole, "SOOO many people would have to be in on it" mantra. He's ULTIMATELY kissing the league's butt (his bread and butter) and flirts with the "controlled opposition" card.

When you look at an extremely large event that happens and people I know immediately start claiming ConTheory I just ask them to think about the required amount of people it would require to pull it off. After they've answered or sat there silent long enough it starts getting awkward my next question is "How many people do you know that constantly gossip and just run their mouth constantly?" That is usually when things start to fall apart.
      Are there exceptions? Absolutely.
      Besides, there were still 8 seconds on the clock. It was still possible the Chiefs could have got another play off and out of bounds with time left on the clock to get Butker closer, and even despite that hit a 62yd FG earlier this season.
      Now I wait for the inevitable rush of people commenting that I'm wrong even though I believe that the scenario was possible not a lock. Hell Butker could have shanked the 42yarder on that last kick anyway.

    The NFL has been rigged for years. The league is just getting more brazen about it as the refs are increasingly deciding high profile games.
    The "holding" call in the SB was the worst "call" in SB history. The "hold" didn't impede the receiver's route in any way and Mahomes threw the ball out of the end zone. No more proof is needed than this to show that the refs repeatedly rescued the Chiefs throughout the playoffs.
    Has anyone else ever seen a team that gets a new set of downs because someone somewhere didn't hear a whistle.
    The NFL is a criminal organization who should be sued into oblivion for defrauding the American people.

      The weakest point in a sporting event is always the officials. They are so easy to sway and control to determine the outcome of the game. What makes us think this doesn’t happen in the NFL and college football?
      It is one thing if you are claiming that players are rigging the games themselves (which, in hockey and football that is very, very hard to do), but it is another to make a claim that officials are rigging the games. One is highly likely, the other is VERY likely.

      Seemed to me that the broadcast attempted to stir up some controversy over the holding call at the end, but it was (a) an obvious hold to the eye and (b) James Bradberry, the guy who committed it, said it was definitely a hold, during his press conference after the game. The Bengals call was also an obvious and good call (Mahomes being hit late, well out of bounds, which is precisely what the rule says is illegal). I often agree with accusations of cheating, but it's not always the case. I feel like people who became of aware of rigged games are now starting to look with biased eyes and see it in everything. It doesn't take much. Just a few boarder line calls. A called hold here, a not called hold there. A touchy PI called here, a obvious no PI called. A touchy roughing the QB. It would not be hard to have an (one) official sway a game. It may not guarantee the outcome. But definitely keep it within a point spread. Bring on Donahee and get his opinion....
