      The issue with this claim is that a team is quite capable of beating the other team as the refs. For example how the hell would you be able to rig that Super Bowl for the broncos to beat the Seahawks? You would have to throw a flag on every down

      @@waltersobchak6 there's more parity between teams than you think, and one or two flags at the correct time to dictate momentum can absolutely determine the outcome of a game.

      NO commissioner is in charge, remember how they get to be commissioner ? The OWNERS put him there, and the tail doesn't wag the dog. Super Bowl 3 (Colts-Jets) was definitely a FIX, Colts 17 point favorites, led by MVP Earl Morrall, who threw 3 interceptions in the 2nd quarter, 2 in the red zone; and on a play designed to get Jimmy Orr wide open, which he was, Morrall doesn't even look his way since it was time for him to throw his 3rd interception in the quarter. Colts owner Rosenbloom was a notorious gambler, he even had the Colts go for a td in the 1958 Championship even though in sudden death they had a chip shot field goal....why ? since the spread was 4 points and a fg winning the title would have meant the bum lost his bet. NFL title in 1958 and SB 3, Rosenbloom had big bets and manipulated his team so he made the big $$$ ...later on this wonderful sportsman who was an expert swimmer drowns, and many say he messed with the wrong people with his bets and they took the bum out.

      It is gone on for decades in all sports with the WWE. When ya hear storyline for a player, ya know it is likely what it is. And many are blind fearing the truth with Vince (WWE) and Roger (NFL) as butt buddies. Merge both for WWNFLE and the rest of sports. Remember mid late 90's WCW having sports players come on Nitro and or Thunder? Karl Malone, Dennis Rodman, Bill Goldberg, Reggie White, Kevin Greene, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, Twins player, Vikings player, Steelers player Nascar for the NWO, NHL hockey player and more. It seems silly that human error can even have an effect on the game of football when the technology exists to eliminate it entirely. If AWS can collect so much "next gen stats" without any changes to NFL equipment, imagine what could be done with minor additions of gps sensors to the ball and a few sensors in the equipment that players wear. They could eliminate the zebras, if they wanted to, but then games would be decided by the players instead of the gambling profits...

That in itself speaks volumes if you understand small market teams compared to larger market teams. Even with the lucky addition of T. Swift to the recipe, the NFL still would prefer a coastal team being the dynasty. Of course in today's world KC is becoming America's team (and why not?) so they could become THAT team but to suggest they started out that way is ludicrous. Lamar enjoyed the cover of Madden the year that PM won his first SB, if I recall correct. The Chiefs have won often times despite the refs working against them, though whiners will claim the opposite. It simply isn't true. Especially at home the refs seemed unfavorable. PM will provide shade for LJ because he's better under pressure and has a superior team surrounding him. Yet LH and JA will get all the love ...

To this day I remain dubious about our 2 point conversion. Lance had that ball for an instant, and if it was enough to count as a score it wasn't by much. Even that wouldn't have made a difference, though. Why they think it's OK to accuse Peyton Manning of intentionally throwing a Super Bowl away is another good question. I'm sure he'd appreciate that.

People say Kyle blew it 9ers blew it blah blah they didn't execute like they should have late but if the refs didn't butcher the game in the cheifs favor they would have never needed to do anything late to start with. They was up 10 with 7 something left when that play happened on 3rd and 15 it was a 44 yard gain that sparked the comeback. Without that it's very unlikely the 49ers don't win. At the end of the ravens game they got screwed too. I don't understand everyone whining about the lights like the lights going off and getting 30 min break only benefitted the 49ers and not the ravens or something. They took the 2nd half kickoff back to make it 28-6 then the lights went off soon after. Maybe the 49ers simply made halftime adjustments we see it all the time where a game is a tale of two halves I don't understand how people think turning the lights off somehow swung the momentum when it happened right after halftime anyways. It was like an even longer half than normal. To me I think the 9ers just made halftime adjustments and came back and it had little if anything to do with the power outage. Now the play at the end on 4th and 5 was blatant as hell and they held the flag essentially stripping the 49ers of another Lombardi that is 2 in the last 10 years. 9ers haven't faired well in Goodells tenure.

Kurt Warner was basically stopped from trying any long passes with time running out with the referees stopping the game when I thought the Cardinals should still have time on the clock.
    Also I remember as a kid hearing about a Baltimore player being happy as Hell after Superbowl 3 saying he just made Three Million dollars! Remember this is before the NFL paid well. Most players needed off season jobs unless you were a top star. Plus gambling was far more prevalent in the 60's with the mob running Las Vagas and Atlantic City. The blackout bowl is an interesting one, because while the blackout threw momentum in the 9ers favor, there were many egregious ref non-calls that benefitted the Ravens throughout the 2nd half, including blatant holding across the Oline on the fake-punt (when they took the safety on purpose to kill the clock) toward the end. Definitely a dumpster fire of a game all around.

    • @tomatoisnotafruit5670
      @tomatoisnotafruit5670 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Blackout Bowl was to get Niners back in the game, but they weren't supposed to win and they didn't. So that game still got the rightful winner, the rigged part was to make the game close instead of a blowout and that's what they did.

    • @matthewmaning4859
      @matthewmaning4859 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What you don't understand is even if they threw the flag during that play, the play would still have to finish out so the same amount of time would have ran off the clock.

    • @tomatoisnotafruit5670
      @tomatoisnotafruit5670 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, the holding everyone and taking a safety to run out the clock, is not the refs being biased and not calling a penalty. That's just a loophole in the rules.
      Rules say if there is a penalty then there is still another play even if the clock ran out, but not unless the penalty is on a scoring play. SO by holding and taking a safety, the holding team gives the other team 2 points and even thou the clock ran out on a penalty, it was a scoring play so the penalty doesn't matter and game over.

    Steelers-Cardinals. NFL liked to favor the big market teams back then. In the regular season, the game-winning catch is likely not a TD given the questionable toe tapping. The Cards probably wouldn't have gotten that call. I remember Madden claiming it was legit from a distance on the replay. Same with Al Michaels.

    12:55 A few years after this, Joe Namath was on a plane with Bubba Smith, and he was so sick of the allegations trying to take away his big moment that he told Bubba Smith that he had an awful.game, too, so if the game was fixed, Bubba Smith was in on it. That shut Hightower up.

      BINGO. I have watched SB III in its entirety multiple times & there is ZERO evidence to suggest the game was fixed. The Colts simply were NOT ready and took the Jets way too lightly. Colts RB Tom Matte went on record as saying that the Jets played better than the Colts & Matte is right. The score was only 7-0 in favor of the Jets at halftime, but what happened in the 3rd QTR? What happened in the 3rd QTR was the Colts just flat out got smothered by the Jets and the Jets extended their lead. The 3rd QTR of the game is where the game was really lost for the Colts.

      @@brdempsey69 Yeah. Morrall not looking at the wide-open receiver that the flea-flicker play was MEANT to go to wasn't sus at all. Neither was the 3m bet placed on a Jets win by the Colts owner. Everything is always exactly as the establishment says it is.

      @ Believe whatever you wish, but all you have is hearsay and no substance. Go look at the 1997, 1998, and 2015 Denver Donkeys & there is where you'll find substance that the fix was in.

      @of_doom_and_steel477 No proof whatsoever of what you're saying. Regarding Morrall, mental errors from players are quite common -- look no further than Colts RB Jonathan Taylor and what happened to him in the Colts game against Denver in this 2024 season.

    • @wvu05
      @wvu05 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @of_doom_and_steel477 Nice try, but all of this was a combination of sour grapes by a few players who can't accept the fact that they were victim to the biggest upset loss in pro football history and conspiracy hypothesizers (a theory involves actual proof) who want to think they're smarter than everyone else. There is absolutely zero evidence to anything you've said. And Morall looked in Orr's direction but didn't see him since his jersey blended in with the blue uniforms of the marching bands. And for one of the interceptions to come off a ricochet that landed right in the arms of Beverly to be deliberate is just absurd. Bubba Smith had a bad game, too, so was he in on it?

      The NFL is controlled by the owners. The fact that the Falcons have never won a super bowl proves it's not fixed. If it was really just Goodell in charge, Atlanta would have already won a super bowl because of Mercedes Benz Stadium and the large population base.

    • @styner3

      @@markb3786Atlanta has a large population but the Falcons don’t have a large fan base. Most people that live in Atlanta are not from there. Billionaires don’t care about a little trophy, if the fanless Falcons blew out the great Brady the NFL would have lost millions. Owners share revenue and no one buying Falcons gear. Plus the Patriots ran the ball 7 more times down by 25 than Falcons did up by 25. When all they had to do was run the clock. That’s 100% proof.
