- How to Cast a Circle || Wicca Protective Magick
This video will show you one of the ways to create a sacred space in which spells can be performed.
Witches call the process “casting a circle”. We do this in order to amplify the energy we raise, but the circle also protects us while casting a particularly challenging or complicated spell.
The moon was new at the time this video was shot, so I cast a New Moon Spell for insight and career growth. Feel free to substitute a different spell if you like. Be sure to check the moon’s current phase before you choose your spell. You want to work with lunar energies, not against them.
At the end of the video, I’ll show you how to dissolve the circle.

Great video. Do you reverse the directions - while casting in the Southern Hemisphere?
Yes. “Witches use duality in the way they move in circle. In the Northern Hemisphere, sunwise is clockwise-East, South, West, North, and back to East again. Ayenward is counterclockwise. In the Southern Hemisphere, sunwise is counterclockwise, and ayenward is clockwise.”-The Goodly Spellbook
if i do protection circle in my room do i just clean the circle when im done ?

No bother! The Elemental Creatures are: The Sylphs of the Air (East), the Salamanders of the Fire (South), the Gnomes of the Earth (North) and the Undines of the Deep (West).
is it ok if i dont have all this memorized to read it out of my book of shadows while casting?
lynn edwads Certainly! This video is meant to guide you. Work within the guidelines.. use your own words to summon the Watchtowers and Elementals, or use mine, or variations. Putting your personal stamp on spells, summoning , or setting up sacred space adds your unique energies to them, and boosts their effectiveness 😉
Do I need to be Wicca to use this? I’m an eclectic witch, but I follow no set religion. I pick and choose from which religions I believe in certain things. (Open of course). Thanks.
TheXFilesAreAwesome You do not need to be Wiccan to use this. It may be adapted and personalized in the way that feels right to you. As long as you respect the general principles of this method of casting a circle, it will be effective 😉
Protective circle protects the summoner but what about the other people in our house who will not even know about our ritual? Are they in danger? And how can we protect them?
Greetings! First of all, don’t assume the other people in your house don’t know. ( they may sense some aspect of the ritual, subconsciously). Secondly, when you dissolve the circle at the end of the ritual, release the positive emery you’ve raised and direct it towards your family. Finally, if it’s protection you want for them, be sure to specify that.

Get can you answer this for me pls (and don't come at me bc in new to this and I'm just unsure) but when you say 'Wicca', does it it count for pagans too bc I've done a lot of research and I've heard they are similar. Also does that count for 'Wicca symbols', like can Pagans use them as well?

Merry meet! Yes, Wicca is a nature-based form of spirituality that is a kind of paganism. All Wiccans are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Wiccans. Paganism is any form of spirituality that is not a form of the Judeo-Christian-Islam group of religions. I hope this adds to your understanding.
