I had tears, this is the first time I have seen and felt a circle cast with such beauty.
Cleansing water: "I exorcise the of creature of water, let there be no negativity or unwanted energy contained within the, in the name of the Lady and the Lord, so mote it be"
Salt Blessing: "I bless the oh creature of salt, in the name of the Lady and the Lord, in rich, bless and ground this ritual, so mote it be"
Casting circle: "By the earth that is her body, by the air that is her breath, by the fire of her bright spirit, by the water that is her ever living womb, the circle is cast."
Open the circle: "By the earth that is her body, by the water that is her ever living womb, by the fire that is her bright spirit, by the air that is her breath, the circle is open yet unbroken"

I have been a practicing witch all my life (60yrs), and am a Clergy level Priestess of the Craft. Laura has done a wonderful job on this video, explaining in a beautiful manner without getting into the deeper specifics that can overwhelm those new to the craft. I have subscribed to her videos as I feel they are a worthwhile tool for new students.
Reading online I got really confused about how I should start but once I watched this video and learned that whatever you are comfortable believing is fine, I felt much better.

Your the first person who's demonstrated in a straight forward way how to cast a circle, that iv'e seen on here. Some of the others have just confused me as to the order in which they should be done. As a beginer theres alot to take in, so thanks for your help. By the way i'm also called Laura :-)
Very good video for beginners. Reading from the books is ok but actually seeing someone cast the circle is inspiring.

@MeloloB Thank you for the lovely comment. in my opinion you certainly can cast a circle outside, as long as you feel the energy of the space is right - which you'll feel intuitively. I've cast and been involved in some wonderful and powerful outside rituals. BB Laura

In the banishing pentagram, you banish spiritual energy from the realm of earth to that of the spirit, thus you start at the earth point and move up to spirit to make the pentagram.

i found it easy listening to her and i feel i`ve learnt alot and i`e took some notes as well
I was raised Christian but I never really felt apart of it and at 52 I have come to think that it is not the path I need to take so I'm searching for a path that suits my belief. One that doesn't leave out our Mother Earth. Now these are just my thoughts . .. Mother earth our Father the sun and I think the moon is our emotional link to both but those are just my thoughts on the matter but it would make a circle of those to connect with all the circles of life.

I finally understand the usage of blessed salt, and cleansed, blessed water being mixed for purification. I'm not a person who practices regularly, however, I didn't quite connect the dots with the "holy water" having salt. Earth is the element of stabalization and a purifying element, all elements have certain qualities for purifying, however with water being a very receptive element, and the salt or earth representation being a very stable purifier, the water absorbs the negative energies and the salt within the water purges or purifies those energies.

Thank you for the video. I find it interesting, as someone who is so far only observing Pagan culture from the outside, how many of these rituals from tradition to tradition are largely similar. However, I tend to relate more to your personal, creative approach to ritual and worship as opposed to the strict Alexandrian traditions. Whatever it is I seek in this Universe, it is vast and encompassing and deeply personal as well. Which is what makes it all the more difficult to find, I think.
