    I made them!! My nephews LOVED them. Thank you so much! Altho I had a hard time figuring out how to package it. For these I just made them smaller and put them in a cute container they could get one or two out at a time. But I want to ship for my other nephews and don’t know how to package that. Any ideas?

      You are most welcome! I like to put 5 scoops in a little plastic bowl and shrink wrap the whole thing. I include a little spoon and it looks like a bowl of ice cream! I put it inside of an organza bag with tags for the label ☺️ I also package them individually with a shrink bag inside of an organza bag with tags for label! I always include an organza because they work so much better if you dissolve them inside the bag! Keeps little chunks from getting away ☺️

      I find the same with baking soda here in Australia. I can actually buy it cheaper in 1kg boxes from Woolworths with my weekly shop.

      I heard or read somewhere that by mixing the fragrance oil directly with the natrasorb bath then adding it to your product it locks up the fragrance in the natrasorb to be released when it hits the water. Makes sense in theory. I haven’t tested it side by side with just adding it to the batch but just thought I’d put it out there.

    Hello I’m new at making bath bombs. And a new subbie I love your channel. One question my bath bombs will not stay together it falls apart. Even when I spray witch hazel it still breaks apart. Would you know why is that

    • @southernfleekbathbynickey5618
      @southernfleekbathbynickey5618  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Thanks for watching ☺️ Without knowing your recipe it’s kinda hard to pinpoint the problem but I’m happy to try and help. Make sure you are using a 2 part baking soda to 1 part citric acid base. Your going to want to use a tablespoon of any kind of oil per cup of baking soda and polysorbate 80 equal to half the amount of oil used. Also I personally add all my liquid ingredients together including fragrance and then mix all of those in with my dry ingredients without adding the citric. Citric is the very last thing I add. So you can add your binder (in this case witch Hazel to the wet ingredients or spray it in at the end. I measure 1/2 tablespoon per cup of baking soda to my wet ingredients and then spray more as needed (if needed) I personally use my vanilla stabilizer I make and sell in my shop as my binder so that I don’t have to worry about discoloration but which Hazel or distilled water are my top next choices. Now, another thing that causes a problem is overpacking. Make sure your not putting too much in your Mold as this can cause them to break apart when unmolding. I hope this helps you out!! Happy bath Bomb making🤗

      There is a clip of the written out ingredients in the video that you can screenshot☺️ You can buy the ingredients from any bath/soap supplier such as wholesale supplies plus or save on citric:) and you can even get a lot of them from Amazon, but that will cost a little more that a supply store. Hope this helps☺️ Thanks for watching!!

    My bath scoops weren’t forming right, I didn’t use the natrasorb instead I used tapioca powder. For the life of me I don’t know why this batch was so hard at some point I had to just release the bubble scoop into my hand. Was it not wet enough of was it too wet?

    • @southernfleekbathbynickey5618
      @southernfleekbathbynickey5618  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello 🤗 If you don’t have Natrasorb you can just leave it out. It sounds like they were too dry. You can add Coco Betaine until they are the right consistent or you can also spritz some rubbing alcohol in there too! Be careful not to over do the Coco Betaine though, because it can become too gooey very fast. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching☺️

    You sell these for $3 each? Bargain! Looking at these ingredients I’m hoping things are cheaper where you live because damn, I’d be lucky to make them for that. I really want to try these but all my beautiful expensive precious ingredients 😭😭😭😭 I might try a half batch. Is it humid where you live? Do you use a dehumidifier?

    • @southernfleekbathbynickey5618

      I agree they are not cheap to make but really are worth it🤗 I buy ingredients in bulk, and that tends to be a tad less expensive. Yes, it is very humid where I live, but I do run a large dehumidifier in my shop!
