Safes can be a good idea, nothing against them, My father used do own gas stations, and in one he had a safe inside a large steel 55 gal drum- filled with concrete, He had break ins often. And the safe being in plan view in the front room, it was always a target, But rarely were the crooks ever able to move this extremely heavy safe more than a couple feet, By the time the cops arrived there would be a trail of blood, sweat & tears as the thieves cut themselves getting through the glass doors and worked their asses off to move the safe unsuccessfully. Another interesting anecdote is a friend that’s a serious gun collector, He said he kept 2 gun safes, one that was more easily penetrable, with much less expensive weaponry, so the crooks would get the easy grab & leave… And not search further to find his real gun collection. My dad in his gas station started this philosophy also, Purposely leaving a small amount, under $100 in the cash drawer, as the the thief would generally take that small amount & vacate, not searching, causing more damage & potentially finding more cash.
I have a SecureIt Agile Model 52 safe. Perfect for an apartment or upstairs. Has a keypad too. Less than half the cost of this. Although I would love this Vaultek too.
Liberty makes the same size gun safe that's fire rated, built stronger, has a biometric digital keyed lock, and half the price.. Plus it's run on a 9v, so it opens 2,000+ times on a single battery. So much better than the horrible battery life this one has because of the rechargeable battery it uses. Multiple people have talked about how they have to keep it plugged in because the battery life is so bad.
Love that you still do these review/showcase type videos. The political and headline news stuff is necessary and really important, but this type of content is a nice break away every now and again.
I think the best safe is a hidden one that blends into the home, like a false panel or a in-wall design with a mirror. Anything else aside from a walk-in is going to get stolen IF they have access to your home without you knowing.
A balance between hidden, secure and ease of access when needed. My understanding is these are meant for quick emergency access. Digging into a false wall safe, fumbling for a key or combo takes time.
“Let me start by sayin this isn’t a review. This is a sales pitch, like every one of my videos.” So surprised it’s a vaultek safe. Lol definitely the best salesman on guntube these days. I’ll stick with the Liberty Safe I’ve already got, but if I end up with more guns, how unlikely that is right smh, I’ll definitely check out these!! Appreciate the content brother. God bless~

@@TheFlyingZulu Sure. How a lock is defeated matters much more than the fact that it was defeated. Looking at the key of the shown safe I'm not so sure that it's safe from being defeated by a bent street sweeper brush and a couple minutes of poking.
As a locksmith that has sold, serviced and broken into safes, this is a high tech gun locker. I have no issues with anyone wanting this to store their firearms. It has a lot of cool features. It does fall short compared to safes in the same price range that have security not aesthetics as their main selling points. Example of standard features that are under used, small or not included are listed here-The size, number & material make up of the locking bolts. The lack of a fire rating. The lack of relockers or hardened plates. The above features are standard on safes in the $2000 price range. The capacity of 8 long guns is also very small when compared to other $2,000 gun safes with more security features. My opinion is biometric security on safes aren't as dependable as dial locks, electronic locks, push button simplex locks or keys. All of those entry methods will work if you give someone the combo if you aren't around to open the safe yourself. The simpler a the locking mechanism the more dependable the locking mechanism. Again, I think it's a good looking safe with cool features just not the best security features. Congratulations on to Colin the sponsorship and on helping design the product.
Some of the smaller 1 to 2 Rifle Under bed safes make Great Trunk Safes as well, Using them for years, and under $600. Just anchor them to the vehicles trunk frame with locking cable etc.
This is an interesting safe. My only concerns are the remote key and biometrics. Hopefully its using a good biometrics since so many companies go with something cheap that can easily be bypassed, which I guess you could also make the argument for the keypad as well but its not as common. The remote key concerns me because so many new devices are coming out nowadays that even kids can easily buy and use one to essentially copy/mimic wireless keys. The wifi features could be a concern if it could unlock the safe but its cool that its only just used for monitoring.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I am looking for a safe that I can realistically store 4 rifles (M-1 Garand, Yugo M48, Zastava M-70 and AR-15) in my apartment. Everything I have found is too large.
Look for something else. Pretty much ANYTHING else. For half the price you can get something that's actually secure. I worked for years in the safe/vault industry as a tech and salesman. I would NEVER have directed someone to a safe like this. Especially at this insane pricepoint.
@@harpintn And I'm sure there's an alert that your app has lost connection. But seriously, any RSC can be broken into within 5 minutes by someone who knows what they're doing. It's not a Graffunder. This is clearly not something to store your collection in, it's far too small for that anyway. It's built to enable quick access to the owner while deterring 99.9% of burglars, and for that role, it seems pretty well designed.
You can get a super nice liberty safe for $2k. It would be nice maybe for an upstairs bedroom because my state wants everything to be stored and locked up. 😜🤪😝😉
I've always liked these storage containers. It would work in small spaces and hidden away. The price is too high, though. I already have a large safe for all my stuff. About the same price range.
Colion it would be awesome if you’d make a video or review of the best pistol, rifles & shotguns that are compliant to NYC residents. It’s hard to dig through the weeds on which models of each are legal to own in NYC
Honestly, I prefer the old school clickety clack spin dial safe. If I need a gun at the ready, I keep it by my side, in my purse, or under my pillow (while sleeping).
Colion’s just peddling for the highest bidder at this point. I mean, he has been for a while but this is gratuitous. No fire rating, no water protection. Super thin steel so you will have to bolt this thing down in a corner to limit prying access. An angle grinder will be through this thing in under 60 seconds. $2k for a box with a fancy latch. Get real.
I would prefer manually locked safe over electronic one. You never know when it is going to fail on you.... low on battery or electronically malfunction when time of need.
Hope you don't have a fire or flood.. If you do, remember you can spend 1/2 as much on a liberty safe that is stronger, has a biometrics/digital/key lock, thicker steel walls, more locking bolts on the front door, a 9v battery that's good for 5000+ door unlocking, is fire and flood rated for 1 hour, and looks exactly the same except it doesn't have a silly ATM looking button pad. And with all that saved money, you can deck the heck out of the insides with every custom feature you could want. Sorry, not sorry. But this safe is a joke for not being fire and flood rated for that price. A safe is supposed to keep things safe, and you are much more likely to have fire or water damage occur than for someone to break in and steal what's inside it. Such a sad oversight.
This is exactly what I need upstairs in my house. The big safe in my basement is fine but I want a secure discreet way to store my firearms where they're close by.

If you want to bolt it to something, it’s no more difficult than drilling a hole. If you can’t do that, you should really evaluate your life. However, simply running a lag bolt into framing isn’t going to slow down a real thief much. Any dedicated criminal will defeat most mitigations you can think up. For me, something that slows the kids down and holds the things I value, at least for a little while, is a bonus. Huge dogs, security systems and cameras make up most of the rest of the solution. I also mitigate things that will burn my house down and encourage criminals from attacking me, as opposed to the neighbor.
Yeah, it's a nice, secure, beautiful pistol safe. I got 6 compact and subcompacts in the pistol racks and a full size home defense gun on the slide out shelf.
I love that it has a backup key, that was the one feature that kept me from purchasing a liberty safe because they don’t offer backup keys, it’s either the electric keypad or the old school dial. I want the electric keypad but I also don’t 100% trust electric and want that old school key option. Winchester safes offer an electric keypad with a backup key, for what I need it’s been a fantastic safe
You don't want a key. You think you do but you don't, they can be easily picked by a crackhead with basic knowledge. Dial is best, but the EMP resistant electronic pads are ok too. If the 9v dies on the electronic pad it's easily replaced from the outside so you can get back in. Liberty is the way, lifetime warranty for theft, fire and flood can't be beaten.
If you open up your drywall, just move a non-loadbearing stud, then move it 1" over. This way you will have exactly 16" of room inside one of your walls and you can hide the safe. 😊
I did this behind my bedroom door and covered it with a 3ftx6tf framed mirror that slides on full length drawer slides. I actually removed the stud in the middle after double bracing the studs on either side. Gave me a lot more horizontal room, and it worked like a charm. The 2x4 wall is deep enough that I was able to mount metal pegboards and hooks, and still have enough room to hang my Ar-15's(even with their side mounted lights and switches). The peg board is perfect for holding guns, but have recently switched to powerful rubber coated magnets. Everything can easily be moved around, and it looks sharp as hell.
They have the bells and whistles. But for $2,000 I'd expect it to be fireproof and waterproof, which it isn't.

Safes can be a good idea, nothing against them,
My father used do own gas stations, and in one he had a safe inside a large steel 55 gal drum- filled with concrete,
He had break ins often.
And the safe being in plan view in the front room, it was always a target,
But rarely were the crooks ever able to move this extremely heavy safe more than a couple feet,
By the time the cops arrived there would be a trail of blood, sweat & tears as the thieves cut themselves getting through the glass doors and worked their asses off to move the safe unsuccessfully.
Another interesting anecdote is a friend that’s a serious gun collector,
He said he kept 2 gun safes, one that was more easily penetrable, with much less expensive weaponry, so the crooks would get the easy grab & leave…
And not search further to find his real gun collection.
My dad in his gas station started this philosophy also,
Purposely leaving a small amount, under $100 in the cash drawer, as the the thief would generally take that small amount & vacate, not searching, causing more damage & potentially finding more cash.
I just got the RS800i today and damn! it's fucking on point! I bout it directly from your website. I'll always support you!
My eyes are on that nice bike lol
I have a SecureIt Agile Model 52 safe. Perfect for an apartment or upstairs. Has a keypad too. Less than half the cost of this. Although I would love this Vaultek too.
Colion is the only channel il watch till the end of the world…stay cool brother✌️✌️✌️
Who's Colion?
@@sampeeps3371 colion is the guy that no need introduction…how about you who are you?✌️✌️✌️
Liberty makes the same size gun safe that's fire rated, built stronger, has a biometric digital keyed lock, and half the price..
Lol he's selling something not reviewing/showcasing.
@Orilion well yeah but its still done in a showcase kind of fashion.
Thanks!
We do not all have this luxury.
God bless~
Neat. Would like to see LPL get access to one just to see if the locks are actually locks.
LPL isn't realistic though... The guy 'seems' good on TH-cam that's because he preplanns out his locking picking videos well in advance. Any puzzle is easy when you know the solution beforehand. Even his "blind" opening of packages and picking the lock inside is bogus. No popular TH-camr in their right mind would take a package home from their P.O. box location without first thoroughly opening and inspecting what's inside of it... The LPL has even said he does that for security reasons.
@@TheFlyingZulu Sure. How a lock is defeated matters much more than the fact that it was defeated. Looking at the key of the shown safe I'm not so sure that it's safe from being defeated by a bent street sweeper brush and a couple minutes of poking.
Thanks for the option in a sea of options. I have exactly the safe I need for my needs. Love your message - you're the goat , my man.
I would love to see Lock Picking Lawyer try to pick this open
I just got my RS500i love it. wish I had gotten the RS800 tho.
Colion is such a gun nerd-dude to the extreme - love it!
Very beautiful. I like the nano key that could be very simple when in a stressful situation. Which a home invasion will be.
If only there was a nano keychain option
Not 100% sure but 99% that the app can't open it
I like the biometrics and keypad but the Hornady safe is RFID and keypad and you can get the larger size for around $1100 I think.
Nothing says sleek like marketing stickers on the front 😎
I bet the lock picking lawyer could open this in under 30 seconds with out tripping any alarms.
It would still send an alert to the owner's phone...
@@Stubones999 Routers are easily unplugged.
@@harpintn Could be a hidden secondary router.
@@ACobra289 LMAO that's hilarious... and also stupid and easy to check for.
Orgasmic levels of tech! - A man of culture!
You can get a super nice liberty safe for $2k. It would be nice maybe for an upstairs bedroom because my state wants everything to be stored and locked up. 😜🤪😝😉
Thats a voter/citizen issue.
That style when u are chilling watching tv and the gun right next to ur hand just in case 💪
Gun safe steel must b at least 10 gage plate. 12 and 14 used by most are as thin as your car front fender.
Colion’s voice when he is advertising could sell ice to eskimos
I've always liked these storage containers. It would work in small spaces and hidden away. The price is too high, though. I already have a large safe for all my stuff. About the same price range.
Looking to get safe myself, any recommendations? Don't know if I want to pay 2k for that.
That's a wonderful safe!!!
For when you want a safe small enough to carry away
Colion it would be awesome if you’d make a video or review of the best pistol, rifles & shotguns that are compliant to NYC residents. It’s hard to dig through the weeds on which models of each are legal to own in NYC
Too bad vaultek is expensive AF
Mine arrives tomorrow! 800i. Good thing I ordered it before you did this video haha
Honestly, I prefer the old school clickety clack spin dial safe. If I need a gun at the ready, I keep it by my side, in my purse, or under my pillow (while sleeping).
💯
Very cool. If I still had kids in the house I'd consider it.
Vault-tec pretending to not be a real company by changing its name to Vaultek and making safes.
Well if they build their safes like they build their control vaults, then would be an incredibly tough design.
I wouldn't keep my cola and single 308 round anywhere else.
Next is vault 101 as a safe
I have one of these in my bedroom closet. Love it!
Get real.
This thing is a joke
I prefer the newer veins pattern recognition like on Maxx safes, fingerprint readers don't work as well if you are sweaty dirty have cuts ect.
WiFi means you are being watched by those who do not like you.. BAD, BAD, BAD.... TERRIBLE IDEA!!!!
I have 2.5” live lockers 10 all in all I love the concept with that one really cool man
Trump 2024 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
It's nice to have so many access options. A far cry from safes of old.
Thank you for helping us to be better informed.
Something for me to think about, gonna be getting my own place in a bit and i hadn't thought about gun safes yet
I would prefer manually locked safe over electronic one. You never know when it is going to fail on you.... low on battery or electronically malfunction when time of need.
It is
Dat MKBHD reference though! 😂
Not going to lie Colin is the reason why I got this safe and I got to say I love it…
Hope you don't have a fire or flood..
It's nice that there is 4 ways to open the safe
Its sweet. I wish more safes were modular like this
Love this safe. Well done
This is exactly what I need upstairs in my house. The big safe in my basement is fine but I want a secure discreet way to store my firearms where they're close by.
Thanks for fortifying and commenting on my TH-cam channel you have been culled among the most fortuitous triumpher for 2023 giveaway text the above to claim a prize…..
I trust nothing with a key lock. But it’s pretty nice for protecting your guns considering nobody ever tries to steal them.
Well done for the Blade Runner 2049 mention….
Awesome fillum.
😂 You the man Colion....and that safe looks like it doesn't need a fork lift to get it from the store and into a home....
Love this concept and design... plus the options of possibilities

Excellent video!
We appreciate all that you do!
Thank You Mr. Noir .
Amazing safe. Amazing video! God bless you and god bless America!
Dang that’s nice I feel like I need 3 cover the house with that quick open button
Love this safe great gift for my husband
If you want to bolt it to something, it’s no more difficult than drilling a hole. If you can’t do that, you should really evaluate your life. However, simply running a lag bolt into framing isn’t going to slow down a real thief much. Any dedicated criminal will defeat most mitigations you can think up. For me, something that slows the kids down and holds the things I value, at least for a little while, is a bonus. Huge dogs, security systems and cameras make up most of the rest of the solution. I also mitigate things that will burn my house down and encourage criminals from attacking me, as opposed to the neighbor.
I own the mx series pistol safe for my carry rotation pistols and I absolutely love it.
Yeah, it's a nice, secure, beautiful pistol safe. I got 6 compact and subcompacts in the pistol racks and a full size home defense gun on the slide out shelf.
Got one of these…..love it
This is why I love a safe that I played a part in the design 😂
This is what I was considering, but you’d have to have some DEEP ass walls. You’re normal 2x4 wall isn’t going to handle this lol.
That bike in the background... amazing.
I need one of those in my life!!
Yeah this thing has been on my wishlist for a long time. Maybe someday....
I have the RS500 and love it! I'll probably buy the RS800 soon since I like the new depth. Also, own several other Vaultek products which are great!
Thanks buddy appreciate all you do 👍🇺🇸
Real nice easily transportable gun safe ya go there.
Hell yeah. I want one of those.
I’m glad we had that talk yesterday about your video release schedule 😂
Sweet!
I never knew you were that short. Nothing bad or better... Just didn't know.
Thank you for this introduction to this safe and sharing this with us all.
