Great to hear you are on the carnivore diet!!! I started December 2022 as I was rock bottom energy wise, the brain fog was debilitating. Have seen some results which makes me ecstatic. Love my cast iron, they do make the best steaks. Thought I was the only one who liked that much butter on my steak😉 All the best of the carnivore diet!
Great video. I've been learning how to cook with cast iron and really enjoy your content. I have been carnivore for 2 years and have never felt better. Good luck to you and thank you for sharing.
I would like to say that vintage cast iron is awesome and it can not be replaced! However, I bought a new #8 Lodge pan on etsy for 70.00 that had been CNC machined. When I got it the bottom of the pan up to the edge and a little above had been smoothed out. There was barely visible some rough texture, enough to hold the seasoning. I have been using it everyday and it is great! I recommend it! I won't say the seller's name but you will know it by the price...the other guys are charging over 100.00 for the same thing!
Awesome video, Steve! You're looking great! For searing on cast iron or the grill, I use a nice cast iron bacon press to help the meat to keep in contact with the skillet, griddle or grill. Works great! Specially for grill marks! 😎
thanks for the information that you share with us i have a question for you have you ever seen or heard od cast iron dinner plates the reason i aske is because i have a plate thats gate marked i can tell its not a lid or anything like that its a plate thanks for any info you can give me
You can't beat a steak on cast iron cook ware love to use the broiler on mine . Ny strips are over priced love Chuck eye steak 2 times the flavor 1/2 price .
Chuck steaks are good, but last week I was looking at them and they went up to $8.50 lb. The Ribeyes were on sale for same price so bought them instead. Kinda disappointed they went up.
Oh no oil makes sense.. I've always used light coat of crisco. No more lol. For burgers or steaks, I did carnivore diet, used a mix of pure coarse kosher salt and msg. Msg I natural in almost everything. Even raw food eaters eat msg.. it's in human body and body needs it. Sry did a thesis on msg. Even tomato has it lol. Looks great, making steaks Tuesday, used to make steak seasoning but harder to clean cast iron and most stays behind in pan, saving for 2" steaks on grill lol

Looks good!!! Sometimes we bake in the oven at low temp and finish in the cast iron with bacon grease. Good stuff.

I have a # 10 erie gate marked fake pan. It's a good thick heavy pan. It's perfect for steaks.

Great channel! Do you eat cheese on your carnivore diet?
Yes, only real cheese. Stay away from any kind of process cheese.
