  • An educational video to demonstrate hamstring massage techniques with anatomy and key points during a treatment. Once you press "play" this video will instruct you to perform a 15 minute hamstring massage using body and sports massage techniques. This video covers the semimembranosus, semitendinosus and biceps femoris muscles and mentions the bony landmark ischial tuberosity. Techniques used are effleurage, petrissage, compressions, stripping, frictions, lengthening.
    This video teaches techniques taught on the VTCT Level 3 #sportsmassage and Level 4 sports massage course with Clare Riddell at her Pressure Point Clinic in Arnold, Nottingham (UK)

    Wondering if anyone can help me, I fell and hurt my knee last month and never got it checked but was a good height I fell. Anyway recently my hamstring is horrendously sore to the point if I'm bending down to pick something up I'm nearly in tears.. Any advice? Thanks

      I would need a lot more info and it’s hard to assess without palpating/testing. Have you got a physio you could book in with?

    Hamstrings sports massage routine would have been more complete, if you included some Tapotements as well.

      I don’t tend to use tapotement unless it’s for pre-event massage, but thanks for commenting
