    Great video, thanks mate! At 3:35 I was hoping you'd mention the flash system. Usually flash is always on, on these point and shoots. But it seems the GR10 has a physical slider to keep the flash permanently turned off! Is that the case ? Not interest in buying one but many people out there hate the auto on flash systems most of these have.

      @SergioMusel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks!😁 Yeah, as you can see at that time stamp, there's a flash switch, I showed it pretty up close, so you can turn it off completely, always on or switch to auto👍

    A video on the modes and settings and how many presses it takes to get to each one would be great since most of these have non working LCD's now. I just grabbed a non working LCD and trying to figure it out right now but the manual online doesn't make much sense.

    Would You Recommend Buying The Ricoh GRD i In 2021 For Street Photography Since It’s Cheap And Won’t Smash The Bank Not Like Other Expensive Cameras

    • @SergioMusel

      Haven't used GRD, so not sure how it would perform, definitely compact though👍

    Where can get the LCD replacement part? I've been searching and cannot find anything. thanks.

    • @SergioMusel
      @SergioMusel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chances are - you're probably not gonna find any replacement parts available separately, you need to find a repairmen with appropriate skills and parts. The parts comes from other broken cameras, and since GR series are quite popular, repair shops tend to keep all the parts to themselves so that they can charge more (parts + repair itself) 😏

    No need to shit on people who are enthusuastic about taking pictures of their family or everday life. No, everyone does not have a family album -- take it from someone who has no pictures from their childhood or key family members and friends that have since passed away. I otherwise enjoy your content, it feels unique in this space.

    • @SergioMusel
      @SergioMusel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How can I shit on people enthusiastic about taking pictures of their family or everyday life if I do it myself, duuh. I don't say you shouldn't do it - I just said that calling family pictures "documenting of life" sounds a bit exaggerated. You can say that about the pictures of famous or influential people that shape our history.

    • @Lonnie.G
      @Lonnie.G 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SergioMusel Why do you have such a problem with the term “documenting”? I’m sure you and I don’t care about everything that has ever been “documented.” It just feels like you are downplaying the importance somebody might put on capturing or preserving moments of people that will not be here forever. As an example, I obviously know I have grandparents. But I’ve never seen or met them. My father passed from cancer last year so there is no one alive (that I know) who can share what my grandparents were like or what kind of life they lived. If somebody took pictures of them in their everyday life that I could revisit them to to learn what their lives were like. So what exactly would you call that if not a visual “documentation” of their lives? I’m not trying to be confrontational but I’m Genuinely curious why you think only famous people are worth documenting? You seemed to have a strong opinion on people who describe it that way so is there another term you’d use?

    • @SergioMusel
      @SergioMusel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Lonnie.G Another term is - taking family pictures😁Some take pictures of their meals everyday - does that mean they are "documenting" their dietary choices?😂Documenting is ought for historic purposes aimed at much, MUCH broader audiences. But people use this term referring to taking everyday pictures because it sounds more important or something, especially the film shooters on TH-cam. My family and friends are important to me, just like yours are to you, but I understand the difference between me taking pictures of them and photographers documenting the hadron collider, or military coups, or the life of the first African American US president, or the first man in space... I can keep going on and on😉

    • @Lonnie.G
      @Lonnie.G 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SergioMusel I get your point but im not going to pretend to be the judge of what is important enough to “document” vs what is not. Sure there may be a clear line between somebody documenting their breakfast every morning vs a historic riot but who is to say that 1000 years from now that breakfast may look completely different (in the matrix) and somebody might find interest in that time capsule of foreign foods if found? A common definition of document is “record (something) in written, photographic, or other form” and that’s how simply I look at and use the word. Not all documentation is worth keeping (i.e. fast food receipts) but that doesn’t mean it isn’t documentation none the less - just not very valuable documentation, subjectively. Besides, too many syllables in “taking family pictures” lol. Nah, all jokes aside while I disagree with you I respect your opinion on it and appreciate you taking the time to reply. I just found your channel the other day and I’ve loved every video I’ve watched so far. Xpan series was fire. The history of videos are dope. And the reviews are straight forward and honest. Not to mention I think you have the best thumbnails on all of TH-cam. Not that you need to hear it from me but well done
