Looking forward to your patreon account offering! Love your teaching style and eye for detail. You are one of the best on TH-cam sharing watercolor painting.
I just found your videos! So excited! Finally someone who truly goes step by step which is how I learn. Your explanations go so well with each step and I appreciate that you repeat the steps/technique. The other thing I really enjoy is that you have no annoying background music!!!
Your words and work has inspired me a lot to start my own channel :) before I used to just paint and sketched for myself. Now I just can't wait to upload my work every week. Thank you!
I've always been too heavy handed with watercolours so thank you for your demonstrations. Your process is very neat and methodical. I can see where I've been going wrong. Many thanks for sharing.
I love watching you watercolor with a delicate hand. This is how I would ultimately want my paintings to look, after much practice, so I continue to watch how you make your strokes and practice, practice, an practice. Thank you, Louise, for you are a marvelous instructor of watercolor. Maybe someday,:I will be able to create realistic paintings. when I am able, I will be one of your patrons.
Love your work ! Always look forward to your new videos. I appreciate your detail, all instructions, ref. Photos, supplies lists.... I tried several of your tutorials and watch you on Skillshare as well. You’re a great teacher and artist! Thank you!! TFS
I am in awe of your skill and precision. I must repeat to myself SLOW DOWN-it isn't a race to finish! Maybe I can recreate a small fraction of your skill in my own attempts at watercolor!!
Your style of teaching is so refreshing. I do not gain nearly as much knowledge with other tutorials. I find it's too rushed and I get frustrated when I cannot keep up and have wanted to quit. Your classes have helped me so much with my struggles in learning to paint. There's no place to post my pansy picture, but I think it turned out pretty good. Thank you Amy. Orlando, Fl
I absolutely love this painting. You really break everything down so that it is perfectly simple and it doesn't feel impossible! I can't wait to apply some of thehse techniques to my next painting.
Much thanks from frozen Tennessee. We are snowed in for a week and I have brought out my water colors and dusting off the dust from my paint s and brushes…your video has given me the encouragement that I need to get painting again.. your work is incredible . Thanks again …. David from Wartrace Tennessee .
You're a great teacher and I've learnt so much about watercolour, which is now less daunting thanks to you, as much as I love the tutorials I also can't wait to get to the end for the bloopers, I spat at the camera, LOL! I'm going straight to Patreon to sign up, thank you very much for your experience and humour.
I am so excited about your Patreon. I look at your paintings and I am totally in awe. I really enjoy the way you end your segment. Looking forward to painting with you.
Louise, your work is so detailed, I really love it. Pansy's are my thing lately, so I have tried to do your pansy, but my work is so clumsy compared to yours, I'll keep trying. Thank you for your brilliant tutorials.
A wonderful lesson, thank you Louise. I like how you draw the paint out from the darker centres of the pansy, I always get blooms at the end when I try to lay down a long line on paint wet on wet. I would really love a lesson on how you go about choosing your paint colors and how you achieve harmony throughout your work, please.
I saw this great tutorial a while ago but I am revisiting again and I just notice the bloopers at the end jejejejeje 😂 your hubby must have a hilarious time helping with it 🤣
What a great tutorial! I learned so much. You are a truly marvelous teacher! Love to watch you paint and your detailed instructions are enormously helpful. I am going to join your Patreon so I can paint along with you. That would be so wonderful and helpful. Thank you.
Delighted you're going to be on Patreon and can't wait to follow you! I just want to give you a heads up about the problems your followers might encounter if you're not careful about how you organize and name your separate projects. I followed an artist on there for a while, but her work was organized so poorly with multiple projects all with the same name, that it became impossible to easily find the various parts to a project. Patreon doesn't have a search engine to help followers track specific things -- so it's all up to the creator to begin their organization as they mean to go on or it quickly gets out of hand. Good luck with Patreon! I LOVE your style!
I think I know the artist you're talking about. I wanted to be a patreon but everything was so horribly organized I just gave up. Louise's tutorials, on the other hand, are beautifully organized on Patreon.
Louise, I'd like to know what kind of mechanical pencil you are using and the size of lead that you use in it. I would love a tutorial on how you draw and ready your paper for painting. I'm a huge fan.
Hi Pammie, I have two. They are Steadtler mechanical pencils. The writing has rubbed off them so I don't know their official name I'm sorry. I use a 0.5mm and 0.7mm. They weren't very expensive. Thank you!
I love your work and your tutorials are amazing. I only wish I could draw so I could make the magic happen like you do. What pencil are you using to draw before you paint?
Thanks Jan. I often use a light box or saral paper to transfer the drawing onto the paper. It saves time and I don't have a lot of time to spare- like most of us. Once the drawing is here I can make changes by hand lightly if I need to. 💕
I love the way you paint and the reasons why. I am a beginner. I've painted in oils and acrylics (more of the one stroke method). Would it be better to find someone who teaches on a more structured type of teaching such as beginner tutorials and the graduating to more challenging or do you teach that way or think it best to join patreon and go from there. You explain and show things so nicely and it looks like I could jump in and practice and practice until I get it right. I must admit I love learning from you.
Hi Delores. I take my students step by step through each tutorial and I explain everything I'm doing. If you have had experience painting before you will probably catch on fairly quickly. I have a few beginners who seem to be coping ok on Patreon but one has found my classes a little too advanced for her. I also have a lot of beginners who do my Skillshare classes even though they are geared towards intermediate painters. There are no contracts and you can leave at any time on both Skillshare and Patreon so if you are keen you can try and then if you find them too difficult you can always leave (even though I'd hate to see you go.)
Sorry...I take that back....none of the brushes you mentioned in this tutorial is sold in the USA. Darn. Any other suggestions. I think I will give you a try because I learned so much on how much water video and the purpose of each amount and cleared up some questions I had in my head. See you there soon.
Yours are the best tutorials I have ever seen. Very in-depth, and you repeat things so we remember better. Love the bloopers too.
Louise, not only are you a brilliant artist, you are an equally brilliant instructor. Thank you.
You surely are my favourite Teacher. Big thank you. Blessings
You show much respect and authincinity to your subject. I learned so much, probably more than you were trying to teach. Thanks love.
Thanks very much Cheryl.
Louise, you are the watercolor whisperer!
I'm not great at following tutorials but I love watching your technique. You are very relaxing to watch.
That's good to know. Thanks Leah. I hope I didn't put you to sleep!
I found that to.
As always I am transfixed by your art work, can't take my eyes off it.
Blushing.....thanks Graeme.
So beautiful. Can’t wait for your Patreon offer! You are an incredibly gifted artist and teacher. The best.
Thank you very much Denise. xx
