Two humble suggeations for the future of the series: Getting Started: Mechanicum HQs since in a way the way you kit out and upgrade your Magos Primes and Domini is somewhat parallel to consuls. Another idea would be community resources - things like international 30k events and how to find them (post virus that is), painting/converting/force designing inspiration and all that good stuff. Maybe even some alternate rulesets - ive heard you say that the community has done a great job at making better rules for the game than FW. Id love to know where to find that.
In regards to having heavy bolters on aVenator, it also helps if you have a weapon destroyed to reduce the chance of the main gun being destroyed immediately (unless im mixin ti up with something).
Macca any chance of a getting started video for a Shattered Legions list sometime soon? I'm gathering up units and things, but would love to see what your opinion is on what the must haves are, what you would like to see in a shattered legions list etc.
really would like to see a video talking about forge world recasts. As recently talking to people in the community apparently its pretty big here in Aus as the prices are so bad.
Personally not a huge fan of it myself as its reasonably easy it make it not fire by getting crew shaken/stunned due to it being ordnance. Buy that's just me

I do not like the Arcus and the Punisher, as they have to stand still to be good. Fast vehicles should be moving around, period. In addition this makes them (especially the Arcus) rather vulnerable. You can start the game with the other Sicarans in cover, come out and shoot first turn. Or let them come from reserve. The Arcus wants to start the game in a spot were it has a good line of sight on everything. Downside is, everything can shoot back at it. And AV13 crumbles fast in that situation. On paper the Sicaran Omega is terrible. However I got it for the looks and...it is actually rather good. A little overpriced, the main gun could have 30" instead of 24", the special rules is *way* to specific with all this rolling, but all in all? It is reliable. No hoping for Rending, nearly no missed shots. Point, shoot, kill. Do not mistake it for a Tank Destroyer, despite the name. It carves through Custodes and Terminators, destroyes light vehicles and in a pinch it *can* shoot at heavy vehicles. I give it Lascannons on the sides most of the time and rarely leave home without one. Yes, Plasma Support will get a similar output (and better on half range) for the same points. But they are not very mobile (even in a Rhino thats only 6" befor shooting) and a lot softer. The Arcus struggles against AV13, especially on the move. The Venator is great but tends to miss at least one shot. I like the Omega and recommend it for everyone to at least try out a couple of times. It could use some buffs that it does not desperately needs them as it is portrayed here. I have to point out though that our tables have quite a lot of LOS blocking terrain and many would already consider it City Fight. This makes movement a lot more importat and viable, and we found that it adds a lot to the game and elevates some units from crap to rather good actually. For example the Venator is - next to the Laser Vindicator - rather bad and overpriced. Only the movement and anti-super heavy capabilities are still holding it viable in some way. And when you remove the need to move and there is no super heavy...why even bother with the Venator?
Dear God 660 dollars. Ffs i can 3dprint them for 100 max with it being half resin and half pla. I have no idea why everyone hasn't hopped on to the trend of this.

Sicarans are beautiful models - definitely some of the stuff pulling me into 30K :)
2 Sicarian Arcii are the answer to making any fluffy/niche list instantly fairly competitive. They just solve so many problems/shortcomings
OP if you ask me. I avoid taking them because they're honestly too good for what they are.
There is also the Armoured Breakthrough rite of war! though you need at least two predators to run it as well

The Omega being 24" annoys the hell out of me. A weapon with a barrel that long requires at least 48" range.

It's a shame that the Omega has the best looking gun out of the lot. The missile option is just so much more versatile and all around better.

sicaran arcus and 2 vindicator laser destroyer is my prefered heavy support load out
I think the Arcus is a single choice for heavy slot , dont think you can take in a squadron of two unless I missed something?
recasters have only the turrets in stock, so getting some hulls ist good

I love the tanks but mine have consistently managed to miss the majority of their shots and those few that do hit managed to fail to wound.
