Yes they are attached though as you say they're definitely brittle, I broke a little bit off of mine cutting the key away even trying to be careful. But I'm pretty heavy handed so maybe it's that. Had the same on my other recast one so I think it's more the design rather than the resin quality in fairness.

What it has also done is make me look at things slightly differently and how the threat is perceived and dealt with ie; the spartan. And in a nice piece of synergy; I got hold of an Achilles beginning of last week as I have wanted one for a long time because they are cool, to now know how effective it can be is an added bonus. I remember when I got my spartan from forge world, hull was warped and caused a big gap in the front where the doors are. It was a nightmare and I ended up selling it to a friend who had more experience working with resin.
Should have been title: " You & Your Legion Tank & Your Heat Gun ". For the Spartan/Typhoon track Blood and Skulls Industry, LLC (Machinator on eBay) make real quality track for those. And the predator conversion kit for 30k is perfect (just need to saw plastic exhaust on your rhino kit).
Chronic Existence Failure is my new favorite term for anything. I couldn't stop laughing for a good 5 minutes after I heard that :) I admit that I have a soft spot in my heart for the Spartan. My first issue of White Dwarf, October 2012. I'm flipping through, admiring the game systems I was still new to at the time and all the awesome models. And then I come to the Forge World section. I didn't even know what FW was at that point. But the moment I saw the Spartan, I wanted one. It basically started my love for the Horus Heresy game.
Shame you can't buy the Achilles any more from FW. Shameful really what FW just discontinue kits without any notice. Think due to not having a model, they will be removed from the army list?

@@Hogun13 me and my mates don’t care about GW/FW rules. Thanks to my recaster I have 4x 100+ men strong legions with vehicles and a 150man strong DKK army for a 1/4 of the price and better quality. FW/GW are killing themselfs.
Question: Since everything is sold out, what would be the something I could do to turn a 40k land raider, into a 30k land raider? Kromlek makes some OK sponsons. Any suggestions?
Famous J you can use some plasticard to make that top piece, I think it’s really the sponsons and the hull mounted heavy bolter that distinguish it. If you want, you could make a unique conversion and use it for the mk2b and just say it’s a different pattern
Merch idea: A sicaran venator on a t-shirt in a red circle with a line through it, or a poo emoji on it or something. Some people equate the channel with salt (a good thing) but i think your disdain for the venator is more "iconic", lol.
But don't the shatter shells have only AP 4? Doesn't make a huge difference, but i run 3 quadmortars in my Iron Warriors and AP 3 is something new to me
Just make an effort beyond the paint job. There's a guy on TH-cam (forgot the channel name) but he does "plastic heresy" videos where his goal is to create horus heresy units without forgeworld resin, and what he comes up with is pretty legit.
Mars pattern vehicles were around in 30k - it's perfectly legal. They where rare(being a brand new thing) but only the snobbiest of players will care about using the plastic vehicles instead.
@@danielbateman6518 exactly, try to make an efford. I bought some 40K Land Raiders and build new side sponsons out of plasticard. It's easy, fun and looks the part. I really enjoy the conversion work. Ah and the plastic heresy guy might be "kiblams" from the UK.
Oh, also you forgot the Sabre Tanks, unless you plan on doing those in a fast attack video or something. I know they arent the best but they are a good terror assault option.

I love the phobos with wrap around tracks. I like hull of it more than the proteus.
