I got your track guides for donington and oulton park and the helped me no end. I would recommend them to anyone, even more so if they’re fairly new to the track
Been doing track days for a few years now, but despite only being about an hour drive from Donington Park, I have never actually done a day there. It was fate you released this video today as I just booked my first day at Donington only 3 hours ago 🙌 Thank you Sylvain!
Hey Sylvain, Great video thanks. I have been on track with you a few times at Donington in Advanced group but on a ZX636 doing 1:49's you were coming past me like i was standing still. Is great to watch your lines as i don't think i'm far off but you just carry so much more speed then me everywhere and with the 1000cc power clearly much more punch. I think I was on this day as i remember all of the racers this day, seem to remember it was as we were coming out of covid lock down and was a very quick day, impressive to see so many rapid riders on track at the same time (me not being one of them) thanks again much enjoyed
I love donington running an average pace in inters ive always been on the gas coming into craners now u know why the bike is so unsettled i should be neutral throttle something so simple i didn't think 🤔 thanks for this top man
Hi Sylvain, Thanks again for sharing and it's a nice way to improve my English. Donington seems to be a lovely track, maybe I'll will run it One day. Congratulations again for this result at le Mans, from outside everything seems to run quiet, it's impressive. I'll phone you when I'll be wainting for you in front of Donington's Doors.
Loved this, great to see you back Sylvain! I'm getting my bike licence this summer, my main aim/goal is to do track days and experience this (at about 10% of that pace!). Cheers and look forward to the next one....
As always thanks for this tutorial. I am curious about the little bikes behind you. Looks like Ohvale with Suzuki's colors. Are you planning some videos with those ?
Absolutely brilliant video thankyou! Ive got a trackday & Race at Donny in thecoming weeks on an SV650 Mini twin & wondering if you've got any specific tips for a smooth lap on a slower bike? Kibd regards Dan
Even I have been to Donny quite a few times and watch your videos hundreds of times, still something to learn every time I watch it. Am I right that I heard a few corner that you are full throttle and full lean (Starkey's Bridge for example?) and the slick seems to hold the bikes power just fine?
Not at full throttle with a 1000cc in Starkey’s bridge, just opening progressively up the hill on the way to Schwantz. Full throttle & full lean don’t normally go very well together with a powerful bike. Full throttle is for when the bike is or almost straight
200+ bhp superbikes are really hard to ride fast and at full throttle and you do need to be quite the rider to get the full potential out of them. I've spoken to quite a few quick riders (1:32 to 1:34 donny GP) who tell me they are a second or so quicker round Donny on a 600 vs a 1000 as it's easier to rider the 600 fast! I see loads of riders struggling on 1000s at tracks like Donny (even in the fast group) who are all over the place and use traction control over talent to get them round in one piece. Which is very frustrating when your on a much less powerful bike trying to get pass them without causing any drama!
Love your videos and MotoGP commentary. Amazing laps on a fairly standard gixxer. Probably a daft question but do you run race (GP) shift on your road bike? If so is it worth doing and why?
Merci d'avance.
I'm not a racer, so this may sound dumb, but could you explain (video maybe) what " Lack of front feeling" actually means? We hear that a lot with Honda.
Both sizes work well when tried on my GSXR. Depends on what bike you ride and how you ride too but I would say it’s worth trying them both to compare. Can’t go wrong with either
Sylvain its so good to see you posting again! I am long time subscriber and community member, your videos are an absolute inspiration. I started club racing here in the United States on my KTM RC8C and its been such a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Is it possible to get your riding feedback from track footage here in the US? I imagine you'd still be able to provide some valuable insights even if you aren't familiar with our local track. For example this is from my latest race: th-cam.com/video/SQ6Sp5Gnu9Q/w-d-xo.html. Hope to hear from you! :)

I could listen to you all day long.
Excellent as ever, booking my first track day next week age 51 😲

When you overshoot on the hairpin i was amazed by your awareness. Thanks a lot!.
That run from Craner Curves down thru The Old Hairpin is some of the best real estate in the world.
Thanks for the video & nice to bump into you just minutes after watching it 😄🤟🏼
Incredible riding, and so modest. Thanks for putting so much good energy into these tutorials.
Thanks very much Sylvain for taking the time to do this. It has certainly been of use for next time I'm there at Donington
This is one of the coolest guys in the world
Fantastic Tron style tail tidy!
This is a super helpful video, specially the fast lap, lot of takeaways. Thanks Sylvain!

Chuckling to himself after doing the BSB superstock bike on a track bike. 🤣 love it
I know Donington well, but this video really helped when I was there last week. Thanks for the tips!
wSBK in Donington this week so I had to check out this video.

Nice video. Good to see my lines and thoughts on Doni are good so now I can see where and how I need to improve. Keep them coming mate.
I just purchased your Stage 1 video to try to improve on my mid 1m57s... will be interesting on my BMW 1250 boxer!
Awesome, very smooth on that lap 👍. Smooth is always fast.

Would love to see you flying over TT Circuit Assen
I told a really tasteless joke at an alopecia convention recently and was surprised to see it didn't raise any eyebrows 😏✌️
Hi Sylvain, videos are great! do your sg50 members on TH-cam get the access to the Vimeo videos?

Brilliant Sylvain, sorry to hear about Suzuki in Motogp hopefully the rumours aren't true
Sylvain casually hanging with the BSB boys on a pretty much stock GSXR!

Hi Sylvain, I’ve been trying to download your guide off Vimeo all evening, but it doesn’t want to download. Are they still available?
I wonder if suzuki should start a sbk team with Sylvain as the main rider. If so how different is you're endurance bike from a sbk spec bike.
i love you, this is amazing, thank you

Smooth as 👊🏻💥
Awesome track day. What are your thoughts on tire size for slicks? 200 55 or 200 65. What are the differences you notice and feel on track?
