    Hi Jonathan. Great idea measuring the branches so we could see!

    Thanks for the demo vid.
    Amazon listed a GC model with a 7HP Alphaworks engine today. Looks same as yours, but with different engine. Ordered it and hope it works out.
    The 7HP GC looks identical to the Landworks and Super Handy mini wood chippers.

      I noticed the engine change also. It’s a larger size so it should be able to handle the larger branches better. I’m thinking GC and landworks are part of the same company. Might be a good time to purchase an extra set of blades, while they are available and you don’t need them 👌

      @@everybodysjonathan Yes, I ordered a spare blade set. Actually I was going to buy the EFCUT 30 because it has finer shredding performance, but it looks like they don't regularly stock spare blades so I started looking at the GC, Landworks, and Super Handy chippers; looks like they all use the same blades.

    That thing is so much better than the harbor freight 212 chipper that I bought. I had 2 of the hammer bolts snap off causing the hammers to go flying out. Broke my side door in half, had to weld it back together. Had cut out part of the flywheel and welded nuts where the threads were, so I could get the 2 hammers bolted back in. I had to take the thing apart so many times that it wasn’t worth my time sold it on Facebook for $200.

      Sounds like a nightmare. How many hours were on it? I’ve Had a flail pin (held in place with a roll pin) back out before on an older craftsman. This one doesn’t have any hammers like the harbor freight. Also it doesn’t have many hours on it so I can’t comment on its longevity.

    What is the brand and model of your cordless saw you are using? Seems to effortlessly cut that tree down.

    • @everybodysjonathan
      @everybodysjonathan  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just a cheap $30 battery saw on Amazon. No idea on the brand. There are countless ones which appear to be rebranded. I just bought one that was the cheapest. Since then I’ve bought others with similar results. One thing I’ve noticed is that will overheat if used beyond its capacity. Will come back to life after it cools.

    Was just looking into buying this - thanks for the info. I love how small it is, but not sure if this will work for all the trees I have

    • @everybodysjonathan
      @everybodysjonathan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Being as small as it is, it’s not going to be the best tool for every job. I’ve used mine maybe a total of an two hours only so the blades are still sharp. I have an extra set once the branches stop feeding with ease. Performance goes hand in hand with the sharpness of the blade.

      @@everybodysjonathan Good call. Thanks for the tips. That thing looks a little scary to use hahaha. There is a lot of money that you can make here doing this on the side though!

    Well I cut myt own firewood and have to clean up after cutting down each tree. Being that I am cutting for myself, I use any wood 2" and bigger for firewood, all the smaller stuff goes in a big pile.

    • @everybodysjonathan
      @everybodysjonathan  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This could turn that pile into wood chips if that’s any use to you.

      @@everybodysjonathan Yes a couple years ago I ordered a chipper like this one. waited for it to be delivered, and waited, and waited, finally I received a tracking number, checked out the package specks, and somehow the seller had packed it into a 3 pound box. LOL Needless to say it never arrived and PayPal tried to contact the seller and could not, so fortunately they refunded all my money, and I have not ordered another one. So many scams out there these days. Now that money went to a new saw.

    Is this unit recommended for 3 inch tree limbs

    • @everybodysjonathan
      @everybodysjonathan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can handle 3” but only if you feed it at a slow rate. If your goal is to do 3” branches non stop I’d recommend a buffer unit.

  • @jonnysnipes3123
    @jonnysnipes3123 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a 7hp one and it just sucks everything in it you can’t pull out like you’re doing here. If my arm was hooked onto a branch my arms going with the branch is what’s scary about my chipper

    • @everybodysjonathan
      @everybodysjonathan  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good thing as it’s less effort on your part. I’ve noticed the harbor freight model seems to do it also. Once the blades dull you will find the need to push feed more and more.
