I have a 1988 that was given to me off of FBMP. I've only had to replace the carburetor and spark plug on it and it's been a good machine. It too has the Suzuki 4.5HP engine. It's a good machine and at the price I got it at, no complaints. It's easy to fix and a good machine. Parts are readily available for it both through Toro and in the aftermarket.

Have them same snowblower...wouldn't start...cleaned up the carb and starts on first pull...however it seems to run really fast...anyway to adjust the idle speed or engine governor?

Do you have the part number for that belt?

Just started mine after two years. Fresh gas and it started right up, but It quit after using it for two minutes. After pulling off the bowl, no gas. Turned out the gas tank cap wouldn’t vent. Ran it with the cap loose and finished the driveway. Ordering new cap.

I've had mine since it was new about 30 years ago. It's on its second spark plug. I found that only the original NGKspark plug works. The Suzuki engine is high quality. The one thing to remember is to read the manual about starting - it's not a lawn mower. Turn on the ignition, pull out the choke and press the pressure rubber with the hole covered and do it only once - it's just to release a small amounr of fuel, not to create pressure. If you press more than once, remember that It floods easily and can take 24 hours to recover. I have a pull starter and it can start on the second or third pull. Once it gets going remember to close the choke.

nice video, just grabbed a mint one for FREE on the side of the road, runs but wont run with the choke off, I'm assuming it needs a good carb clean. to my surprise, they still have carb rebuild kits at the local farm and fleet near me so gonna throw a kit at it and wait for some more snow!

try some silicon spray around parts that might be freezing, should help. I'm in Ontario and there's one for sale (mint) for $400 hoping to get it for $300 or $350

the best snowblower ever. i picked up a CCR3000 which is the 5hp model on facebook market for $20. only problem is when you go to cold start it can be tough. i have a 2 stage now and i would trade the 2 stage for CCR2000 or CCR3000 any day.

Just want ask is the electric cable come in the package, and i have problems to turn the chute, so i need WD40 to lubricate it.

So if there is 2 adjustment screws which one needs to be adjusted?

So you would need to install the thermostat and see if it is to cold or or not cold enough depending on what u need it for and then adjust and put it back in and see?

I wonder if repeated "deep cleaning" the machine with diluted white vinegar would also make the noise stop. They recommend cleaning it fairly often (as a preventive) but maybe that would also clean up the water pump impeller....

I bought a brand new one , i plugged it into my fridge and it was on continuously . Then i turned it all the way over and it clicked now it doesnt go on at all. Help??

This is exactly like cleaning a keurig.

Yup, took the steel back plate off, located the pump and removed the rotor. Had some film on it that probably caused the rotor to stall. Made sure none of the water passages were blocked (none were), put it back together and works good as new!

Mine has two adjustment screws. Trying to figure out what the other does. Hers's somthing to think about. What's needed is a high temperature switch on and a low temp off. If the range is too narrow the unit will power cycle too often. Too wide and it''ll undergo wide swings in temperature. So, just guessing, one screw sets the middle of the range and the other sets the width.

Is this a nugget ice maker, or just regular ice? Thanks

The machine is fine and dandy , what about the build-up made by the city plow , here it can reach 30 inches of compressed snow ? My guest is that it can if i go by little slice at a time , as a boomer i have plenty of time to play.Since ther is no built in torch i would use a rechargeable frontal lamp.Thank you , merci beaucoup from Quebec. Is $ 700 cad + tx 15% a good price ?

Good video but I must have a more recent, cheaper machine where there is no drain for the tap water tank and the pump is hidden underneath the ice tank. The front stainless pannel is glued in place too. It's not repairable but I'll try to descale it with vinegar. Frigidaire brand, model EFIC452-SS-CU for reference.

Hi how can I increase the cut off time of my fridge thermostate... Either by turning the adjustment crew clock wise or counter clockwise???

Try adding a couple of cups of vinegar to descale the pump. Run icemaker and after 20-30 minutes the noise stopped. Let it run for an hour then drain and refill with water. Run again to rid the taste of vinegar

This is totally what was wrong with my danby mini fridge so weird! Ibdid end up putting in a new thermostat though because it was -3 then celsius in the door. The replacement doesnt line up with the knob though now so no idea if its all the way cold or not.
