Ive started playing snowrunner a few months ago. Im very amazed at the attention to detail the developers put into the vehicles and terrains. They really did their research on the loadstar because if you look closely they put the tie rod behind the axel. International did this in real life with their heavier trucks to lessen the chance of being bent when running into something.
Thats a really awesome observation! I never knew that at all. Thank you so much for bringing that up. With the American Licensed vehicles, they sure did a good job with detail for sure!
@@NProvince my father had a 1968 international 1300 4x4. It was overbuilt from the factory as all trucks from international were. Came factory with Dana 70 axels front and rear, also had a dump bed.
Great pick for your first scout review. I'm always blow away with the consistent quality of your reviews. Definitely the best Snowrunner truck reviews on TH-cam. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more reviews in the future.
Ive recently gotten back into snowrunner after the release of Phase 9 and I gotta say man, I love watching all your videos on the North American trucks, ive decided with doing a full NA truck playthrough and your guides are seriously helping. Appreciate it 👍
I recently picked this truck up. I'm still on the vanilla game with no DLC, but i intend to get the first season's worth tomorrow. I have been doing a lot of cool stuff with it so far. 10/10 would recommend buying this one
I love the 1700, it's such an under rated scout. it's definitely the fat scout of all the other options you get early, but once it's fully upgraded it's easily the most versatile and hard to stop when you want to get somewhere. I do wish tho they'd update it to get the single cargo flatbed option, it'd be a nice extra to it's already great utility.
i'd say this truck is among the fastest scout vehicles in snowrunner. the top speed is ridiculously high, and you can still control the loadstar 1700 at high speeds. but of course you'll spin out if you turn wrong or hit a rock. I always use this for contests, as if it gets on dirt, light mud, asphalt, or anything that doesn't bog it down, it will speed along
Ya it has so much power it just climbs to max speed so fast too. It’s nice that it has the high range truck gearbox instead of the scout freeway. One of my fav scouts for sure.
Cool review, as always. Michigan and Alaska had me fall in love with this truck, can't count the times this one has saved my bigger trucks by flipping them back onto their wheels... Looking at you, royal BM17... When crossing over to taymir I felt it was lacking a bit of capability though, as getting through the tougher mud sections of this place really posed a challenge to it. It got the job done in the end, but it took quite a toll in gas consumption in return. Nevertheless, using the high gear on a highway gear box on this beast will never, ever get old.
Awesome videos my guy! Enjoy watching a lot of these im a seasoned snowrunner coming from mudrunner so im not watching these for help. But i watch them for pure enjoyment when i want snowrunner videos. Awesome content
There's plenty scout vehicles that are fun to drive but very few that are good for the task. Loadstar is one of those that fits both categories. It can handle what it was designed for and its speed makes it an enjoyable drive. Plus it sounds like a brute.
My opinion on this truck was up and down throughout the game. Huge upgrade over the starter scouts. And then felt outclassed by the Tatarin/Yar. And also by the F750. But it really is a great truck! Its a lot of fun with freeway gearbox and almost always gets the job done despite not being as off-road capable as the aforementioned scouts. My best memories of it include flipping down mountains only for it to land on its feet; and being completely drowned in a river only to somehow get swept close enough to the bank and climb out like its back from the dead!
Very good points and loved the story on thing thing coming back to life. So in my humble opinion I don’t think it’s outclassed by any other scout but the Tatarin and the F750. The Yar definitely can get through terrain as slow speeds (never stopping) because of those massive tires, but the Loadstar has the most power of all the scouts except the Tatarin. The Yar is for sure a safe bet because of those balloon tires, range and such, but where the Yar falls short the Loadstar stands out and Vice versa. That’s just simple take, I guess. Each scout brings something new to the table I feel
Agreed, its great that the top scouts have their own personality, with all of them contributing something unique. You should definitely review the Yar. I guess I can only reliably compare against the Tatarin since I use russian trucks on russian maps. And for general scouting, the Yar is still my go-to. Yes the glacial pace due to low weight/grip can be mind numbing, but it will get you there! Vs the Tatarin: Yar is smaller for those hard to reach areas; better at traversing rocks and breakable ice; and has chained tires. The Tatarin is definitely more bad ass to drive coz it rips thru terrain, but there’s probably no area it can reach that the Yar can’t :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Level 14, I think you can buy the Azov 5319 too, you have allot of options as well. The loadstar is really a good scout; just get that raised kit, it really needs it badly.
Ya the Step 310E is the forgotten truck I feel. I’ll add it to the list. It’s gonna be a while till I get to it from other requests, but I’ll definitely have a review for ya!
Suggestion: you started the Series with all the beginner Trucks players find within the first region i would love to see the same for the Starter Scout Vehicles like the Ck1500 or the Scout 800
Very true, I can do either truck. Which one do you think you would like to see? I will add it to my list. Currently the link in the description has vehicles that are coming up, but I’ll add one of those scouts for you
Just bought this as my first truck after collecting about 600,000 dollars. 😳 this thing has been a beast in taymyr. It powers over rock covered roads in quarry. It's actually ridiculous. This medium duty truck is a mean ass vehicle. I haven't run into any problems expect super thin roads that lead up to towers sometimes.
Oh it’s a monster for sure. So the only place I had trouble with its width was on king of the hill, but I believe the devs altered the last bit to allow wider vehicles up there. That was about a year ago though. I’m sure things have been tailored somewhat. Amazing truck though. One of my fav scouts!
*Correction The Ford F750 can also equip the small crane*

Scouted Pedro Bay, Alaska with 1700.
No raised suspension, but still a beast, never had to winch.
Excellent stability.
It’s a boss scout.
Indeed it really is just a monster

Glad you really enjoy it! It’s definitely one of the strongest scouts in the game
Thanks for bringing my suggestion to life!
Absolutely!! Hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for requesting this review; it was a blast making it!
After Alienpir8 recommended your truck reviews i bingewatched the whole series. Great job Nathan very help and insightful.

I 1000% agree! Love seeing an American truck that handles business.
I've looked over the loadstar but I might start using it more
Its really one of the best in my humble opinion!
But this truck is actually good 😂😂
I have tested other scouts and regardless the fuel comsuption I always get back to the loadstar. Nice video Nathan!
I find my way back as well. Its really a gem and a breath of fresh air to take it out and rip up some terrain. Thank you so much!

Hey man thank you for those kind words! Glad you have been enjoying the videos even as a veteran player!
Great review NP! This is pushing me closer to an International Truck Only playthrough.
Thank you Scruffy! Brother that would be an amazing series to watch. Biggest supporter of that play through right here!
This is a great series bruv, keep it up :)
Thank You! Ill try my best!
The off-road tires on this truck out perform most mud-tire options on other scouts. They also rate as excellent for mud in the description.
I think they are a great option. I actually made a whole video on mud and tires recently that kinda puts some light onto these tires sets :)
my best scout truck!! fast powerful stability
I love it!
I used this truck in the British Columbia map, completely stock with the pickup chassis and still balled out
I believe it!

As always thanks for the review. Might have to pick this one up. Im level 14 so I should be able to upgrade it right after buying it.

Me too!
Nathan, well that earns you a sub
Thank you!!
This is my favorite scout in the game by a large margin. I haven’t tried the Jeeps out yet though.
Same here! Love it!
Voron Grad, most underrated semi hauler out there.
I agree, it’s new engine is also incredible
I suggest reviewing the Step 310E, its a pretty forgotten truck found in the zimnegorsk map and I don’t know what to do with it 😅

Ok how about I’ll throw the Ck1500 on the list and do that one to start?
I had this but sold it, but maybe I'll get it back when I move my fleet from Russia back to Michigan
I think you'll really enjoy it. Just make sure to get the raised suspension kit and you should be good to go.
@@NProvince Yeah, I desperately need to explore Alaska. I've been everywhere _but_ there
@@rustbloodeclipse I think youll like Alaska alot. Probably my favorite snow map as well. You'll find the CAT745C there and some others.
Goat scout
For sure!
Approved
Fastest scout in the game!
Not gonna lie waiting for the paystar ts
I'm actually reviewing that one in a few weeks. A viewer requested it the other day! :)
@@NProvince personally its one of my favorite dlc trucks
@@huskofdadbod Its a really great vehicle. It was nice to see a good American DLC vehicle. Can't wait to review it!
@@NProvince this truck has add-ons the none others can but it can't have high saddle but thats a debatable downside
